Profile Guidelines
- To write a Dragonrider, Wherhandler, or character with a Flit you must obtain said creature either through an event or with permission from Dizzy_Kat.
- Please keep Character names 'Pernese'. We're going to be flexible with this one but I don't want to see Annabell, John, or Gandalf running around. Pernified versions of the names (or even clever hyphenations) are more acceptable.
- Male riders still hyphenate their names out of Tradition. A rider may chose not to depending upon personality but it is generally seen as strange and potentially 'feminine'. Female riders who hyphenate can also be called strange and 'masculine'.
- All Characters must have realistic, common earth colorations. Albinism will not be accepted, nor will violet eyes.
- HADs and HAWs are rare and will be given out through special RP Events and competitions. You may not write one.
- Characters must have at least two main flaws and two main virtues. A flaw must negatively affect your characters social interactions. They are negative aspects of your character. A virtue is a redeeming aspect of your character. They positively effect your characters behavior and social interactions.
- Drama is lovely. I adore drama, but please keep it realistic. People die. We get it. Thing is, we're not running an orphanage here guys. Please understand you may be asked to change your history if there are too many Drama Llama's running about.
- Staff word is law. If you disagree with a crit you may address it in an adult, professional manner. Staff reserve the right to issue a final judgement.
Please title your thread with [Location]Character Name, Character Craft [Ready/WIP] or something to that effect.
On Candidates
Noticed there's no Candidate form did you? Let me explain...
- Candidates at Serrat Weyrhold are expected to have a secondary craft/job in addition to their candidate duties. Therefore, any candidate written here must choose a craft once they become a candidate or continue in their current one.
- Weyrborn Candidates are also expected to pick up a craft by the time they begin their candidacy. Should they age out without Impressing, they should be near or ready to Walk the Tables as a Journeyman.
- Candidates are expected to be in good physical and mental health. Mild mental illnesses and physical limitations will be judged on a case by case basis. Staff err on the side of caution.
- A Character can be a candidate from their 12th Nameday to their 22nd Nameday (ages 12 - 21)
- A candidate must turn 12 BEFORE the clutch is laid or turn 22 AFTER the scheduled Hatching to be considered to Stand for that clutch.
- Stands Impressions are available... but they will be rare. You won't be denied for attempting a Stands Impression but in the case of too many candidates preference is given to those on the Sands.
Limitations
As of now we have no set limitations on characters. To keep things realistic we may place temporary ones in the future.
