That fresh, crisp air~ Oh how she loved it so. The chill as deep inhales were taken, and how it invigorated her to do something physical! Back home she'd probably be playing some sort of sport with the neighborhood kids, but... here.. she was still just making her mark on the place.

Wandering around the school grounds, wearing the same attire as usual just with an added on hoodie, occasionally bending to cup some snow and make a snow ball, tossing it only for Cannon to dash after and snap it with his powerful jaws... or ignite it, the ghoul felt it just wasn't the same all on her lonesome with her trusty pooch. Pursing her lips, the ghoul stopped mid toss of another snow ball, turning it in her hands. Well... maybe there was someone who wouldn't mind keeping her some company out here... someone who might enjoy this cold weather as much as she did! Tossing the snowball for Cannon, she reached into her pocket right after to pull out her cellphone. Clicking onto a new message, she decided to text the boil she had her hopes for. After all.. his name sounded like this kinda of stuff was his thing.

to Frost

hey boil. Free to hang out with canny and i in this lovely weather? ;]

He’d been taking a light nap in the freshly fallen powder when his phone rang. It was an odd feeling to be part of the snow then have something that was in you ringing. Giving himself a more solid shape, the wolfos rolled in the snow, pale hands forming to click at the keys. Red eyes blinked at the message before fingered typed out a reply.
Quote:
As free as ever. I’ll join you shortly.

Forming completely, the wolfos gave himself a shake off, small bits of snow and ice flaking off here and there. It was a bit easy to find the reaper and her familiar, the scents familiar and well- A flaming house was a bit easy to spot in waves of white. Reaching down to lightly pack a snowball in his hands, the wolfos gave it a chuck at her. “While I might have been far out my element at the club, you’ve certainly invited me out when I am at my most comfortable.” Grinning, he scratched the back of his head, more snow falling off. “Though hope hanging out in the cold won’t be too much a bother?”

With a pleased grin from the reply, she was prepared to shoot a text back at him... That is, before Cannon started growling, and snapped his head to look behind them. Verusha's fingers had been flying along the keyboard of her touch phone when she felt the snowball hit the back of her head, eyes widening with surprise before she turned at her waist to see who the culprit was!

Frost? but... she hadn't even told him where she was. Well he was a canine, they had superb tracking skills. Smirking, she gave a dusting to the back of her hoodie, removing some of the snow bits to flutter down behind her, "Nice arm you got there, Icy." she teased, turning now on her heels to face him, tucking away her phone. His element, huh? well... his name did seem to promise he'd been rather adept to these sort of climates. "I guess it's your turn to shine this time, huh?" the ghoul mused, bending to casually pack some snow into her palm as well, "No, we're used to this sort of weather. Feels nice, don't you think?" not even standing back up, she chucked a 'fast ball' of a serve at Frost with the snow she'd compacted, wearing a smug grin on her face, "I think we'll do fine for awhile." Clearly Cannon was just fine with it... the snow had completely melted around his paws everywhere he stood for extended periods of time.

Frost felt a bit smug. He did have a nice arm, but then, that probably had to do with previous snowball fights growing up. “Thank you Miss Party, I have a bit of a history with the art of snowball fighting. And- The snowball got him in the chest and while it caught him off guard, there wasn’t exactly snow to brush off. One bonus he supposed of his species, to absorb snow and be ‘one’ with it. “Good to know you’ll be alright in the cold, and no. I don’t shine so much as I reflect.”

Stepping back into a pile of snow he felt back, melting into the pile. A few seconds he let pass before coming out again, this time looking slightly less human and more like a snow sculpture. Granted a moving one but still. “I would have said I glitter, but snow isn’t that sparkly. Just reflective.” As he spoke he lifted his hand , a ball of snow forming in his hand as a portion of his tail returned to normal. A toss and he grinned. “But yes, very much in my element as it were.” A shrug, he formed another ball in his hand. “What element is your’s?”

She had to appreciate his confident response. Though she was easily impressed by the sight of her snowball turning into... nothingness when it hit the boil. She just stood there, eyes wide with shock, staring and blinking a few times as if to make sure her eyes weren't playing tricks on her, "Holy..." she murmured, walking closer to Frost for a better inspection. How'd he..?

But before her outstretched hand could touch him, he was dropping to the snow to become one with it! she gasped lightly and took a single step back, almost afraid she was stepping on him now! Impressed wasn't a strong enough word for how Verusha felt! Once he reformed, she gave a surprised chuckle, "Frosty, I have to say... that's the coolest trick I think I've ever seen." she grinned wide, hands resting on her hips in awe of the boil before her, "you're just full of all sorts of surprises, aren't you?" she cooed, before quickly backing up as a second snowball was lobbed her way!

smirking, she bent again to scoop up some snow, glancing over at Cannon who watched Frost with suspicion, "Well.. I do like the snow a lot. But... I suppose... Fire would probably be a better answer." smirking, she stood, glancing to her pooch, "But.. that wouldn't be too fair.." she snapped her free hand to make a small fire appear at the ground before her, taking the shape of a miniature dog, which gave a bark as it formed, and seemed poised on staring at Frost.

Frost smirked, leaning back on the snow. “Less a trick than a talent mixed into a skill. All my kind can meld into the snow, but only a few can use it to shift the snow through our ‘bodies’.” He rolled his shoulders, pleased with himself and having seemed to have impressed. “It’s not my only ability however.” Looking to the small fire dog, Frost smirked. It was interesting to see the level of control over such a wild element. Fire was to him, the uncontrollable but then-

“My people think Fire is the element of power, one of the three base attributes of the world. To master one is to achieve a greatness. Perhaps you are more powerful than you look… or you seek a bit of power?” He made it a question before his form shifted, becoming a small dog the same shape at the one fire Verusha had made. Only he was made of snow. “Also, everything is fair in a snowball fight. Well, aside from rocks in them. That is just painful.”

Frost was one classy pup, that was for sure. Verusha was thoroughly impressed with her buddy. "You're quite a boil, Frosty." she muses, "Well show me all you can do. You've got me curious now." The little fire dog flickered and crackled, blinking it's vacant eyes as it stared at Frost, seemingly having a life of its own! It looked kind of like a wolf, really, just miniature.

An element of power, huh? Well.. that was pretty accurate. Now it was the ghouls turn to feel pretty proud, "Hm... well I am pretty tough, yeah. But I've always got room to improve. I usually let my opponents make that decision." she winks playfully. And there he went again, showing off and impressing the socks off the reaper, making her curse under her breath from just how awesome his abilities were! She lowered down to kneel and get to a closer level that the two opposing element dogs were at, so very tickled by all of this, "And here I didn't think you could get any cuter." she teased to the boil, while her own fire dog gave an echoed bark to the snow dog that was now before it. Trotting closer, the firey nose twitched and sniffed, the snow beneath its paws melting as it grew closer, before crouching into a playful position, tail wagging in the air. Looking to Frost, Verusha smirked, "I wouldn't want to melt you, though."

“Wise words. Thinking you are strong and have reached your limit would be… A hindrance.” He grinned from his small form, tail wagging as he jumped back from the fire dog. A tilt of his head red eyes looked up to the reaper. “Afraid to melt me? Alas, I am a little harder to get rid of then that.” Holding his head up, the tiny snow pup went to the fire and…

Nothing.

There was no melting, just the reflective glow of reds, oranges, and yellow as flames danced against the snow pup. “Unless you want to melt me? If so You’re going about it all wrong.” Sitting, he gave his ears a stratch. “The way to make and wolfos melt is to do as you would any canine. A nice scratch behind the ears, a belly rub, treats. We’re rather simple in those facts.” Small puppy shoulders seemed to give a shrug. “I’m not sure why, but some students find it rather humiliating to admit that they enjoy such things. It’s just natural. Ah but you asked what else I could do.” He blinked, before the snow began to shift of his form again, this time, the shape of a fully grown buck, antlers and all. “It’s actually a hunting trick. We take the form of an animal native to the area, blend in… you’d be surprised what people don’t question in a snow storm.” A shake of his head, snow tumbled off the antlers.

Smirking he nodded at her. “But what of you? I don’t have to worry about making you melt do I?”

The ghoul gave a very small, and playful, curtsy from his approval. Though she was confident, she wasn't too big-headed to be blinded by the fact that she still had plenty to learn. Just like now. It was quite the relief to know that one composed of ice wouldn't be in harms way from her flames. It was always something she had to be careful about.

It was pretty, really, the way the flames flickered and reflected off of Frost's puppy body. She was intrigued by it, really, and even her firey pup seemed to be curious as well.. sniffing very close to Frost for a better inspection. However Verusha found herself giggling lightly with her icy friends revealed weakness. "I guess some just don't like to show weakness." Frost was clearly very sure of himself, which definitely was appealing, and the ghoul could really respect. Such an open, and classy guy.

As the shape-shifting began again, Verusha slowly stood up, watching in shock as the boil took on a shape completely opposite of what he was before. Eyes wide, an impressed, 'wow' couldn't help but be uttered. Now that... was awesome.. stepping closer, a hand rose to gently touch the snowy deer, finger tips trailing along the defined, long jaw, a thumb petting a pale cheek. It made her smirk, "this is so awesome."

His question though... made her look to his eyes, with a mildly wry expression of her own, "Well... I think you'd be quite able to with those charms of yours. Could make any ghoul melt, though."

He’d not be harmed unless she was trying to put her FEAR into it. Then again he was rather resilient. Shaking himself off, a few flakes of snow fell her and there, mostly from the final flick of the deer tail. “To know and accept a weakness is supposedly a good trait. I just consider it being honest with one’s self. Why lie about what I like? If I tell the truth, worst that will happen is I’ll get that which brings me pleasure.” The click of ice hooves on the ground, Frost shifted again, returning to his original form.

“That’s about the limit to my skill. For now anyway.” Red eyes stared at her slightly amused. “If you find it awesome, I am flattered. But I aim not to impress, only hone that which I will need to master come my return home.” Picking her hand he smirked. “My charm is something I do take joy is practicing however.” A small kiss to the back of her knuckles, Frost smiled. “Getting the ghouls to melt is a nice skill to have. For the right reasons of couse.”

Such a clever boil. It was always delightful to hear Frost's responses to things. Always so wise, so mature... not like what you'd hear from your everyday, typical student. It made the wolfos all the more intriguing. "Can't disagree with you there then." Verusha replied lightly, showing some awe in her expression.

When he returned back to his upright canine form, tail and ears remaining now, her own little fire creation circled around Frost to sniff at his ankles, and pantlegs, almost confused as to how all of this transforming was happening! but... soon the fire did a little transformation of its own, furling up and coiling before disappearing with a crackle. A grin appeared on the ghouls face, head canting faintly, "I'd like to see you doing all this sort of stuff in action. I'd bet it'd be quite a sight to see." she glanced down to her hand as it was taken, mildly surprised to receive such a gesture from the boil, but not at all against it. Cannon though... he gave a low growl at Frost to show his disapproval, but Verusha gave the fire dog no mind. Chuckling very lightly, a pleased expression softened onto the reapers face, " be careful you don't use it on too many, ghouls. Might make some jealous." she teased.

Frost laughed. “That sadly, is where I fall short. I have no intention towards ghouls or boils aside from enjoying their company. A.. diversion might be enjoyable, but sadly, lasting relationships beyond friendship are out of my grasp. An alpha of my home needs a mate, not.. casual companions?” He paused, not sure if he was making much sense without offending. “It’s a rather odd thing on whole, but it’s the part I must play. Doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy occasionally paying a beautiful and smart the compliments she deserves.” Cannon got a small smirk.

“Even if they are frowned upon. If you want to see me in action however? I’m always willing to prove myself.” He held out his own hand. “Perhaps you’d like to take me up on a spar?” A simple offer, they could see just each other’s abilities.

He'd spoke of this during their first meeting, but... Verusha wondered if he had so much control over his heart as he seemed to claim. Perhaps he did not want companionship, but... when you fell for someone, it was a little difficult to convince yourself otherwise. Curious.. Grinning, she gave an amused expression for him, "Well maybe you might find a mate instead of a 'casual companion'. The heart tends to have a mind of its own.. that can even rival your own." she gives a tap to her head in playful gesture. Cannon was getting pretty tired of these boils acting this way with the reaper though, and had half a mind to blast a firey breath right at the cocky youngsters... but Verusha would certainly have none of that.

She chuckled lightly, "I don't think you have to prove much, my friend. I mean, sing you're going to be leader of your people, you must be strong." the corners of her lips lifted a touch more, "Though.. it has been awhile since I've had a battle with anyone.."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 16, 2013 5:47 pm

Frost puffed up at that, fur going on end while pink tinted his cheeks. “I don’t know who my heart wants. Oh I know what my body desires, that is easy enough, but the heart is conflicting with the mind.” His tail fluffed out even more. “Body just wants things I’m not about to give it.” He said under his breath. He really didn’t want to think about mates and companions. He was tired of dealing with the complicated emotions that came with. Logic and law hardly helped either.

“Mind of heart, of the body, and the soul. Courage, Power, and Wisdom. Humph.”Arms crossed his ears went back. “It’s too complex when I dwell upon it. Much easier to simply go and do a spar.” He smiled a bit. “Physical strength is one thing, the cunning to battle a reaper is another. Besides, I’m sure Cannon would enjoy having reason to try and bite me.” His own smiled quickly widened, white fangs flashed at the fire hound.

What a reaction! she couldn't help but laugh lightly from it, dying down to a giggle just underneath her breath. How freaking cute. Reaching up, she gave a soft pat to one of his cheeks, "Don't think about it too much. There's no rush. I like to let fate decide on those kinds of things, myself." to further try and help soothe her friend, her hand slid up to give one of his ears a gentle rub, in a small way an apology for getting him so worked up about the topic... even if it was pretty amusing to see him react to it.

Her smirk returned, as she took a peek at Cannon. Hopefully they weren't too rusty. Sure she kept in shape, and all that, but it'd been awhile since she'd truly had it out with someone. But that look in the firedog's glowing eyes gave away the truth behind Frost's words. It almost even drew out the familiar's voice... but instead he deduced it to a deep, guttural growl. Yes.. he would like that very much. "Guess I can't argue with you there. Just gotta promise you won't go easy on me." she teased, "I like a fair challenge."
