Chauvet is a cave in southern France known for its stunning cave paintings and anthropological significance. ::Nickname:: Phoenix, this being a play on the meaning of his name, and the nickname of his future chosen, Vilify. -to be added in once obtained ::Age:: 25, November 12th ::Title:: No title, at least not yet. Maybe a bit of fame might one day be in his future. ::Occupation:: Formally he's known as a bodyguard. But this is only a ruse, a simple diversion for his real occupation. He's an assassin by trade, currently taking only quick jobs here and there, but he means to connect with someone with a name, someone who can make his job worthwhile. :razzlace of Residence:: In the shadows, where else? He has multiple homes that act as hideouts more than anything. He originates from Gallia, the Wardwood equivalent of France.

He moves quickly with his lanky legs and forearms. ::Eyes:: Dark brown, almost as singed as coal. ::Hair:: Shaved close aside from the very top. His hair fades from a mousy brown to a rusty color. He also usually has a bit of scruffy facial hair, sometimes grown out into a beard, but most of the time trimmed short. ::Fashion:: Relatively plain attire, which changes often depending on his target. He very often has a cowl, and always has a set of feathers he's tied together either attached to his cowl, or hung as an earring.
..:razzersonal Attributes::▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ::Skills:: He's skilled in his profession and is capable of using an array of weapons, favoring though a simple dagger. He's skilled on his feet and because of this he's never been trapped for long. ::Weaknesses:: Can barely read or write. This problem may cause him to reject a particular job that might require notes or for him to read important information to that job. ::Quarks:: He has an irrational fear of water. He can swim, he can and he's very good, but he will try everything in his power to avoid it. There is a story going around that it might have started as a young boy, when he nearly drowned in a river. :razzositives:: He believes in equality, in justice, individuality, and above all free will. Freedom of choice, freedom to pursue. Certain concepts are still strange to him, like women's rights and what not, this being the late 18th century, but he's willing to learn and is quick to accept. This is fairly ironic, something he fails to see, considering how he treats his Guardian. ::Negatives:: He's good at his job. Impersonal. He approaches killing as nothing more than a task to be done, or, at least that's how he's read. He may yet have more emotion about his killings that he doesn't let on. He's forceful and coercive concerning his Guardian. He won't necessarily project this on other people, but he sees (will see once obtained) Vilify as little more than a tool to do his biding. ::Gender Identity:: Cisgender male. Although cisgender is not a term yet invented. ::Sexual Identity:: He'll never refer to himself in terms of homosexual or heterosexual (etc.) because these terms didn't exist in the time period. If anything he might refer to himself as a sodomite. He is homosexual in practice, but will not readily admit it, and certainly only reveals this to potential partners. :razzersonality:: Work oriented, and like a blade, harsh one moment and gentle the next. He's death for those who cross him, an intensity beneath calm waters. He's ruthless and cruel when dealing with a target, when he needs to be to get information, but otherwise he deals with his targets as swiftly as possible. To anyone he's not marked as an enemy, particularly strangers, he can be quite gentle and compassionate. He seems to save all of these emotions for them alone and none for those he's been assigned as their executioner. He's quiet, soft spoken, loyal to those he belongs to while he belongs to them. René has plenty of reasons to not be open about his history, and will unlikely reveal any of it. ::History:: He reveals none of his past to anyone, not even his most confident. He was born to a poor family and was sent off to make something of himself in Sunderland, although the real reason he was sent away was because of the growing political unrest in his home country. His father is unmentionable. And he's dealing in death. Needless to say he has reservations about telling his story. How he came to be in this line of profession is also a mystery, although there are various theories floating about; something about being adopted into some secret brotherhood upon arriving in Sunderland, or another about an owed debt that he repaid with a knife to the throat. ::Relationship with Guardian:: (Once obtained). Terrible to say the least. Vilify obeys René, nothing more, nothing less. René has nothing against Vilify, he regards him as little more than a tool and holds no judgement against him. He expects him to do his job, and rewards him accordingly.
