[For Metas who had wishes, please look for your Meta's names bolded. Some of you have specifics for the characters that Moira sent out to the guardians, I just haven't had time to send them out via PM and I figure this might work out easier anyways.] Moira hummed as she did the final touches on getting the gym set up for the Holiday event that she had planned for the Children and Teens that were part of the Academy. She had been wanting to do one for awhile now seeing as all she could remember when she was growing up was the Halloween Ball when she had first met Vic those years ago. Smiling slightly, she shook her mind out of the memories and took a step back to get a good look of the gym before quickly rushing forward to do some last minute adjustments and then nodding and nitpicking about the food.
While she could've made it all herself, she had gotten the help of her friends to help her pick out kid friendly holiday food that wasn't just cookies and candy. The table of food that was a couple feet away from the tree that was bustling with a variety of presents, some labeled with names some without names for just random gifts that she figured that some kids might want and they could possibly trade them with other kids if they didn't like them, was full of food. An entire spiral sliced ham, a large variety of cookies, pastas, candies, fruits, vegetables and about 5 different types of bread. On the next table was the beverages - Coffee, pops, hot chocolates consisting of white, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and raspberry, a thing of hot water for tea which there was a basket of sorted teas, and the basics like water and iced tea.
Looking around at the gym, the half-angel smiled, crossing her arms over her chest with a pleased sound. "Well now. I think this looks good, and it's done just in time! Hopefully Vic remembers to bring Tobias with him, didn't want the boy to sit around and just watch me finishing up the details...." she murmured, moving to open both doors to the gym and propping them open. While Tobias was the major concern of hers for tonight, she still hoped that the other kids would like their gifts. The hardest three to get right were three kids she hadn't even seen yet; Valeria, Morpheus, and Alex. While Morpheus had asked for something she thought she could've helped with - and she did ask the Elders about it, all she could do was post a notice about the people in question on the notice board in the main hallway - if her powers were stronger, but she did manage to fish out enough information so she decided that the best bet was to ask the guardians of the Morpheus' and then getting Nova or Avon to bring the other two to at least the door, to bring them all in Blindfolded and bring them as early as possible. Valeria, Morpheus, and Alex's gift was each other - it was an odd thought, but Moira figured it'd work out, that and there were extra gifts if the kids wanted them.
The next kids weren't as hard to shop for, well a couple were, but not too bad. While Tori said he wasn't coming, she decided to send him an owl-based gift card after seeing his message. For Phyllida she was going to ask the girl if she would like to be part of their family but remain in the dorms seeing as they had no more rooms but she could come over to their place whenever they wanted - but she would have to tell her that. Dylan had a simple enough request, and she got him/her a nice camera as requested. Tobias, oh Tobi, she got him a good collection of miniatures and the box set of the Harry Potter books. Quin had an adorable request and she decided to just get her a gift card for the shop she always goes to for cooking supplies. For Marisol she got her the requested roller-blades, but she hadn't heard of ANY type of harpy showing up - she was sure they'd come through the Academy first and not live among humans after the war.
Sha had a nice request as well, so she got him both things he asked for. For Wiley, Moira got a set of barrettes and ribbons and put them all in a cute hat. Mandi would get a mixture of shirts and small cat plushies. Blake would be getting the box sets of the Batman and X-men movies, seeing as those sorts of things were good for all ages. Alvis, one of the last two kids on the list,would be getting the Doctor Who: Classic Novels Boxset. Last but not least, Ariel, who seemed to enjoy her fish puns, would be getting a Nerf SOA Tornado Strike Water Gun, a Nerf Super Soaker Lightningstorm Blaster, 30$ for a swimsuit of her choice, and a notice to not use the super soakers until it got warmer.
With a sigh, Moira walked back to the tree and started to adjust the presents, checking the clock every now ad then. It was about time for people to start showing up, more so the first three.

Vic would have much rather gone with his wife to the gym to help her but he was sure that he didn't want Tobi to see anything. Plus there was no one else Tobi would possibly be ok with stay and there was no way the boy would be staying home alone. Things were still a little awkward to Tobi but at least he was getting more comfortable talking to him. Hopefully sooner or later he would be talking to him like Moira.
Things were quiet the whole walk over to the gym. Vic had wanted to talk but nothing came out of the adult. He still needed to work on that but at least he was getting better at talking to his son. Luckily the awkwardness didn't have to last long as they walked inside. Letting go of Tobi's hand he let the boy roam where ever he wish but he was sure Tobi wouldn't go far. "Need any help?" Vic said as he walked over to his wife, kissing her on the cheek.

"Now, are you sure this is the place?" Thomas asked, raising an eyebrow at his surroundings.
"Oh, for the fifteenth time, Thomas, it says G-Y-M!" Marcus replied, rubbing his temples.
"I have NOT asked you fifteen times!"
"Well, it sure SOUNDS like you have!"
"Cease this nonsense!" Morpheus barked, his eyes covered by a a white dishcloth. "I haven't an idea where I be go'in and you lot be bickering like chil'dren! Both of ye put me to shame, argu'in like fools!"
"Sorry, Morph!" Both guardians squeaked.

It was a good thing Vic hadn't left him at home, Tobias wouldn't have dared to so much as leave his own room if he had been left behind. While he was somewhat alright walking to the gym with his father, the silence made his visions worse. All of the eyes that kept popping up to watch them were made that much scarier, but he couldn't think of a thing to say to break the silence.
He was thankful when they reached the gym, thinking that perhaps the gym could be another safe space like his room, where the eyes and the mouths didn't appear on the walls, floors and ceiling. Unfortunately, he was wrong. But they were smaller than usual. When Vic let go of his hand, he just continued over to Moira and stuck right by her side. Things felt safer by her.
Quin had been looking forward to this event since he had sent his letter in. He'd been able to get Sono to agree to come along for a short while, but he was a busy fellow, so he wouldn't be around for the whole get together. That was fine by Quin, he just wanted to have his new father around for a little bit, just in case he got nervous. Not that he ever got nervous...
"How many people do you think are gonna be there?" He tugged at Sono's hand as they neared the gym. "Oh I dunno, probably a few... it's a gift giving party so I'm sure there'll be plenty of kids your age." Sono shrugged a little, then paused outside the gym. Oh, memories... He shook his head, then pushed the door open.
It was surprisingly empty... perhaps they'd arrived too early. The lack of people didn't seem to bother Quin, though. The kid dragged Sono in as soon as the door was open, all smiles and excitement.

Moira smiled as she got kissed on the cheek, shaking her head before kissing Vic back, "No, I have everything sorted for now. Thanks though." after she spoke, she knelt down and smoothed down Tobias hair, trying to comfort him a bit before she heard a couple voices. While she hadn't seen the two guardians of Morpheus and the Meta himself, she had noticed Quin and his guardian, Sono.
While Sono was technically her brother by adoption, she had never met him before so this would be the first time that they had met because he couldn't make it when she and Silas had been adopted. "Hey!" Moira says cheerfully, wondering how much of her past Asu had told him, "It's good to finally meet you." she grins.

Tobi almost piped up with a whine for her not to move from where they were, but he kept it to himself and shuffled along by her side. He really didn't like how the eyes on the walls kept watching their every move.
Sono nodded politely, Quin followed suit just after, clearly mimicking whatever Sono was going to do. Sono looked Moira over, raising a brow... she seemed... familiar. But not, at the same time. Oh, yes, he remembered. "You must be Moira. I didn't get a chance to come back and visit when Asu adopted you and your brother." He smiled a bit and held out a hand, "I'm Insonorise, you can call me Sono. And this is Quin." He nodded down at Quin, who grinned widely and waved a hand energetically.
"Hi miss Moira! The gym looks really good!"

Phyl walks into the gymnasium, limping slightly and grumbling huffily. Cupid chirped at her, as if he was chastising her for something "Shut Tock up, he was getting a fist Tick in the face if he wanted it or not." Yes Phyl, because punching a 5 year old human boy was going to get him to leave you alone. She notices Moira and Vic, feeling slightly ashamed before scurrying to one of the refreshment tables and hiding under it. Cupid however, took the liberty of flying over and nesting in Quin's hair, cooing happily at how nice he smelled.
Dylan runs in, tripping and falling on her face with a sound 'OOMPH!' She sits back up, looking around excitedly before starting to take pictures of all the pretty decorations and sights here.
Frederique enters, laughing softly and picking Dylan up onto her feet "Be careful dear, wouldn't want to hurt your camera..."
" I'm ok! Thank you for your concern though!" She hugs Fred before running around happily, acting like a child as she always did.

Vic looked disappointed as he heard that he couldn't help Moira out but at least he could enjoy himself. As a parent a and hyperactive child came over to them Vic only waved and looked away to look at how the gym looked like. Moira had done so well though he still wished he could have helped. As he looked around he saw that Tobi had been acting a little different. He only thought that it was due that there were new people. He also didn't care for new people and even more talking to them so he thought maybe he should help his son out. Moving over to Tobi he knelt down to his eye level. "Do you wanna grab some snacks or somethin'. Give your momma some time to talk." He held his hand out for Tobi to grab if he wanted to do what Vic suggested.
With the help of the lost and found box she had gotten into Ariel found herself a simple light purple dress and used blue flip flops since she was sure that she couldn't go naked or in only a bathing suit. She was really excited about it and the possibility of gaining some new friends. Plus the wish was like a cherry on top though even if she got nothing she would still be just as happy.
Ariel nearly skipped the whole way to the gym but she stopped as she got closer to see all the people going into the gym. "Oh my cod, they all look so flipping fun." Ariel squealed as she ran over towards the gym to enter but bumped into Fred and nearly fell back. "Oops I'm so reelly sorry about that." Ariel giggled embarrassed as she looked up to the other girl.
It took Alvis hours to get himself ready with figuring out what he would wear and styling his clothes but finally he was done and ready to go. He had been looking forward to the event since it would be his first. The chance to mingle and make friends was a very pleasant thought well more of an exciting one. He also had hoped his new friend, Phyl, would be going as well so they could enjoy the event together.
Coming down from the dorms and going towards the gym, the whole time people staring at him. It was most likely due to the fact that he had gone so fancy with a suit and perfectly fixed up hair. Alvis didn't mind the stares, actually he loved it very much. It really put a smile on his face but it vanished as he reached the entrance of the gym. It looked as if a girl had bumped into another and was blocking the way. Alvis really didn't mind but he really wished he didn't have to wait to enter inside.

Just to add to the awkwardness, a red haired devil queued up behind them all. Sha was dressed in somewhat respectable jeans, band t-shirt and a bright blue hoody he'd stolen from Trae. "Come on guys, let's get a move on! It's cold out here!" He called with a grin that crinkled his one red eye jovially and didn't affect the place where his other eye should have been, but was (ironically) filled with void. His tail curled and uncurled in the cold.
Wily couldn't sit still in the car on her way to the party. Oh boy did she love christmas and presents.

Blake approached the growing clump of kids by the door. He hadn't dressed up much for the party, wearing a batman hoodie under his coat and one of his nicer pairs of jeans and sneakers. On his head he wore a Santa hat that his guardian Crow had bought for him with a raised eyebrow. Blake had been a little embarrassed by that look but had stubbornly stated that it was festive. The real reason he wanted it was it covered up his hair pretty well.
Once he got closer to the door he spotted that his friend and roommate Sha was there too. He shoved his hands into his pockets and hurried closer.
"Hey Sha." He even gave him a smile.
From across the parking lot came a bundle of energy in the package of a small girl in a blue dress. Mandi ran from the car all the way to the door, kitty ear headband almost falling off in the process. Behind her walking at a leisurely pace was her father Daniel. He intended to stick around to keep an eye on Mandi since she was such a handful at times and also to see if the woman running the event needed any help with anything.
Finally arriving at the door, Mandi almost bumped into someone herself but she righted herself in time and fixed her ears, looking around. It seemed like two of the boys already knew each other and that two girls were blocking the entrance, but there was one boy who was all alone and also was very snazzily dressed. Well it seemed logical he was the one she needed to talk to, she didn't want to be alone, and she didn't want anyone else to be alone. She sidled up next to him and peered at him, face all lit up with a grin.
"Hi there mister fancy pants." She giggled a bit. "I'm Mandi who're you?"

Ariel was just about to introduce herself when she heard someone trying to sass her. "Oh shell no." Taking her small water gun from her bikini top and turned to shoot She straight in the face but as she did she saw the small line behind her. "Oh, whale you didn't have to be huge beach about it. So I don't feel sorry for watering you. Not moving until you apologizes." Putting her mini water gun back in her bikini top she crossed her arms and waited for an apologized.
Alvis only sighed in disappointment as a small argument broke out which meant he had to wait even more. Oh the pain of waiting, how it killed him. Well not really but he did hate it. He had some business to take care of inside but thanks to the teens that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. Sighing again he was then surprised by a girl coming to take to him. "Oh hello there. I am Alvis and it is a pleasure to meet you." Giving her a small bow he looked to her with a smile. If he was going to have to wait even longer he was glad he could at least have someone to talk to. "Are you ready to have yourself a blast because i know that I am. Oh what a blast I will have meeting new people though I did not expect to meet new people like this. Having to wait outside and even longer over a silly little argument. It is ok now that I have someone such as yourself to keep me company out here. Thought it is getting cool is it not? I sure am and I think you are too but I know once we are inside we will be nice and warm. That is unless the temperature thing is broken which would be a great shame but I am sure that it is not. Do you not think so? I think you do. You seem like a smart girl. You are aren't you? I can tell with just looking at you. You can really tell a lot about someone by just looking at them. It is quite a skill do not you think? I bet you do. So tell me a little bit about yourself. I bet we can become friends, do you not think so? I think we will be good friends in no time. You should come on adventures with me and my other friend. It will be a blast with more people. Oh yes I can see it now. I big old grand adventure. How a blast it will really be. Yes I think it will be the great. Wow you really do not talk much do you?" Finally for what seemed like forever Alvis stopped talking and waited for a reply.

"Sure..." Tobias took Vic's hand, and then looked around. There sure were a lot of other kids coming in... and they all seemed so loud. "I don't like how noisy it is." He shuffled closer to Vic, as if being closer to his father would somehow make the noise level go down.

"Hey, Blake! If I'd known you were comin', I'd've waited for y-" Sha started to say enthusiastically but then got squirted in the face with a water gun. He turned to look where it came from, blinking water from his one eye (the void eye seemingly have eaten the water aimed at it).
"Damn, that water's cold, lady." Sha said with a severe pout. He shook himself like a dog, then mopped at his face with the hood of his sweatshirt. "You always shoot first and ask questions later?" He wrung out his bangs next. "Let's move this inside so the rest of everyone can get in." Sha was kinda irritated, water wasn't his favorite thing ever (being based an a fire item) but he wasn't going to fly off the handle or anything.
Shiny's car pulled into a parking spot and she'd barely put the vehicle in park before Wiley was out of her seatbelt and throwing open the door to run to the gym.
"Wiley you freeze right there, young lady!" Shiny called as she turned off the car. Silly girl was going to get herself killed by traffic. Honestly. She got out of the car and held out her hand to the girl.
Wiley siiiiighed. Mom was taking forever. Jeez didn't she know there were going to be presents? "Come ooon Mom." Finally she appeared so Wiley grabbed her hand and they were off across the street to the gym where there appeared to be a line to get in. Oh boy, a biiiig party.

Moira took Sono's hand and shook it, "It's fine, really. Everything has gone smoothly since then so it's all good. It is nice to meet you though." She smiled, soon looking down at Quin, though quickly glancing at Tobi as he took Vic's hand and the two went to the snack table, then back to Quin. "Hi there Quin. Thank you, we worked hard on it. Though I have to say that I think we'll be waiting to open presents for awhile.." She whispered the last part as she looked around the Gym.
Going through the mental list she made herself after getting images of the Metas attending, she sighed;
Alex had yet to show up with the help of Nova or Avon, so that means that Valeria hadn't shown up either. Alvis was here in a rather nice suit. Ariel, yeah she was the one with the squirt gun. Blake was there and talking to some kids. Dylan had shown up with what Moira could assume was an older sibling. Mandi was talking to Alvis. Marisol had yet to show up. Morpheus was somewhere nearby with his Guardians, she had heard him. Phyllida she had seen out of the corner of her eye and she could tell she was at least under the table - would have to talk to her later. Quin was here. Sha had gotten hit with the squirt gun. Tobias was with Vic at the refreshment table. Valeria was definitely not here. Wiley wasn't there yet.
Sighing, Moira shook her head. Two of the kids that she needed to have the Elders help to get here weren't here and she couldn't leave on her own to find them, so that was an issue. Looking at the doorway, she tried to get everyones attention, "Hello everyone, come in come in! We have drinks and food, we're just waiting for a couple more kids to show up and then we'll get the gifting started! For now just try not to make too much of a mess or have puddles of water everywhere." she half chuckled at the last part, but she eyed Ariel, hoping she got it.

Closing his hand he was about to stand up straight but seeing how frightened Tobi was he decided to release his hand and just pick him up. Vic only thought that Tobi didn't like that there were more people coming and that it wasn't something else. "Don't worry. You can stay by my side. Don't really care for meetin' new people either." Vic said with a frown as he looked at the younger meta at the door having an argument. He turned away from them and went towards the snack table. He use to want Tobi to make friends but if his son really wasn't feeling it, there was no way he could force him. Moira and he would be there for him.
At this point Ariel was already pouting but hearing the other boy's answer then getting disciplined by Moira had her pouting up an even bigger storm. She was use to doing whatever she wanted but since Moira was in charge and the fact that she gave off a strong feel, Ariel decided it was best to listen and moved on inside with her arms crossed. She should probably work on how she acts but what was the fun in that, not much at least to her. "Luckily guppy brat." Ariel said, directing it to Sha. She would probably try to get him to apologize later even if she had to use force.
Though Alvis waited for an answer he at least moved out of the way to let others pass him. "Do you want to come inside and tell me in there. It's probably warmer in there anyway and get you to stop being so shy. Come on." He didn't even wait for an answer before he took Mandi's hand and tried to lightly tug her inside.
