The largest war in recorded history. Several races on the planet were required to adept to life beneath the surface, while some other races became extinct and leave only traces for the textbooks. Scorched earth and a blazing sun made life above ground almost impossible, but no one has returned to the surface for close to 500 years. Maybe nature resumed its course and the surface can be, once again, called home. In one community, a boy by the name of Gharen has been having re-occurring dreams of a dragon flying over various landscapes. He starts to think this as a message and shares his belief, but this starts to cause trouble for him, with the community's council threatening to exile him.
Important Information:
Magic is now a scarcity, with pure-blood Magi being extremely rare, possibly extinct. Now, magic can only be learned through word of mouth, like magic passed on through the generations; through reading certain scripture, like scrolls and such; or by destroying enchanted objects and gaining the powers for yourself.
