Stardust Drifter Cool! ^^ Oh and I've thought of an idea for the sci-fi rp. Maybe my character is an explorer who ventures into an anchient alien hive where he finds your character, a beautiful and human like, alien hive queen who's on the verge of dieing thanks to the lack of food and most of her workers and servants starving to death. Ooooooooooooo, sounds cool! Although the alien in my mind seems to be an insect like creature or a female version of Martian Manhunter from JLU thus giving cool alien powers. biggrin Ahh well...what do you suggest then? Maybe she's a captive instead, and he rescues her before she could be mutated and impregnated? or something? :p The rest of your idea is sound, she could still be alien queen of dead/dying hive. Perhaps your character finds her feasting on the remains of one of her servants? Being the queen, she'd still be driven to reproduce so she'd search your guy's mind and take the shape of something he likes. 3nodding Random RP idea from Stardust that I liked so we're jumping on it and seeing what we get. heart

The vast halls of the hive-like cavern were dim and dark. Dimly lit by a small light coming off of his weapon, a mysterious young adult wanders through the cavern cautiously. Holding a Saberaxe, an axe with a light saber-ish blade, he is ready for any and all surprises.
Zeph was a talented and well skill Hunter. Obtaining a mission from a group of cowardly peasants, he was to investigate the mysterious and ancient hive of an unknown race of aliens. Of course, it had been sealed for many years and no one on the planet really paid much attention to it until an rumbling from the cavern caused openings to appear.
Dressed in well protective armor and gear, Zeph ventured into the dark depths alone. 27 years old, he was heralded at his young age. Yet he always wanted more. The hunt was never enough, the rewards were never good enough, he wanted more...he wanted a companion. He was lonely and tired of it, yet with his occupation he was always planet-jumping, so it left little time to go on dates.
As if any woman would be crazy enough to date a Hunter. They weren't well liked in the first place. Snapping back into his thoughts Zeph stumbled over something.
"Another corpse..." he said quietly to himself. Pulling out some vials, he remembered to get some samples for a scientist who gave him a quest right before he entered. Lucky for him he was also given gloves so that no gore could get on his skin. "Ugly fellow this one..yet oddly they all seemed to have their reproductive parts consumed...odd...could be some kind of virus?"
Looking down one of the larger tunnels, he thought he heard some sounds. His dark blue eyes glinted a little with curiosity as he slowly made his way to a larger chamber. Sweat poured from his silver tailed headband. This place was hot and not the kind of comfortable hot, the kind where you wanted to die hot. Whatever race lived here must have been immune to heat all together...then what killed them exactly?

(Lol, love the idea of a Saberaxe biggrin )
Hunched over the corpse of her most recently deceased servant, the alien queen sank her hands into her minion's chest cavity seeking out more internal organs to feast upon. Her body famished beyond reason and boarding on death, she had no qualms about eating another of her kind, survival of the fittest after all. If one must survive, why shouldn't it be her? She was the queen.
Latching onto something tough but muscular, she plucked free what appeared to be her servants heart. Licking her lips, Kha'per's (I believe it would be read like Copper, not really sure. Sorta made up alien sounding name on the fly.) jaw quickly transformed into a pair of mandibles and helped her wolf down the gruesome morsel.
"More, more, more..." she rasped, delving back into the body.

((Thanks I kind of made it up :p))
Zeph was amazed at the strange drawings upon the caverns. Yet the sound he heard kept him from staying much longer. Sounds of devouring, and chattering in some dark garbled language came from the wall cavity near his.
Heart pounding he slowly made his way into the chamber, only to find that it was dark as the rest. Though the sounds of screeching filled his ears and mind and he winced a little at the noise. When he shined the light he gasped...a large insect creature was devouring one of the last remaining smaller ones, a drone to be exact.
So the queen was devouring her people? Kind of an odd twist of fate. Readying his Saberaxe he had probably made enough noise just entering the place to probably get her attention.

A twitch of her antenna alerted her of the intruder a second before it entered her lair. Sprouting as many claws and spikes as she could manage, Kha'per turning to face this threat and defend her meal but for all her bluster, came face to face with a searing beam of light.
Hissing loudly in protest to this unfair assault, she covered her eyes with her gore soaked arms and slowly backed away, her extra claw and spikes disappearing as her focus was broken. Seeking shelter from the invader's light, she shuffled backwards and hid good portion, but nowhere near all, of herself behind a nearby pillar of rock.

This was a strange reaction. Normally aliens like her would be trying to devour his face or attacking, but she was hiding from him. Dimming the light a little he cautiously crept closer.
"Hey...it's alright I'm not going to hurt you.." which was kind of a lie since he was supposed to 'take care' of the problem. Still why was a queen devouring her subjects? Normally hive queens treasured them deeply. Then again this planet's nourishment was waneing a little. Why people still wanted to settle in these dry lands was beyond him.
"Are you..mal-nourished?" he asked the giant queen, feeling a little silly. As if she could understand him. The short brown haired, handsome looking young man kept his guard up as he approached, yet grimaced a little when he stepped into what appeared to be the intestine of the former servant she was devouring , slopping a little on his leg.

After being cut off from the surface for so long, she'd become accustomed to the perpetual darkness of her dying empire to the point that light, even fake light, hurt her eyes.
The creature seemed to be speaking but whether it was with her or others like him she was unsure. Hissing as she watched the intruder tangled himself in her meal, she poked a claw out of hiding and hooking it around her minion's ankle, pulled the corpse into hiding with her. Fearing this might be her last meal, she crunched what remained of the desiccated body into a ball and devoured it.
One didn't need to be a doctor to tell this creature was starving. Upon inspection, one could indeed tell she was malnourished, her ribs showing through sickly and semi-transparent skin.

His heart sunk. Putting away his weapon, which caused the light to vanish he sighed. "I can't do it. I can't or won't kill you. I'm sorry you're having trouble. If only there was something I could do...well minus becoming your next meal obviously." he said slowly walking up to the queen and gently touching her skin.
Zeph never really did this sort of thing, yet maybe she could be contained humanely and taken to a non-inhabited planet for her to feast and start a new life? No one would go for that, since most on this planet probably wanted her dead.
Poor queen, she's probably alone and starving to death. If only there was a way I could smuggle her out of here..but...how? he thought with a sigh.

Closing her eyes as the creature reached towards her, she calmly waited for her end. After a few moments like this she opened them again to see the creature staring up at her. She hadn't been incinerated by its touch and it had clearly pocketed its light weapons. Confused by the intruder's actions, Kha'per cocked her head to one side like one would expect a dog to do when it heard a word it recognized.
Hesitantly she too reached out and touched a claw to the intruder's shoulder, assuming it was some form of greeting. Upon physical contact with this creature, her mind suddenly filled with images of hundreds upon thousands of locations, images, memories, and thoughts. One of which she caught the tail end of, "I could smuggle her out of here... but... how?" Unlike the droning one-way thoughts of her kind, this creature before her had had millions of difference experiences all with varied results, despite the repetitive nature of many of the tasks.
"Why?" her mind asked back, using the voice of his sister to form the message.

He felt her claw lightly touch his arm, then suddenly his heart began to race as their minds oddly connected. Though he really couldn't see anything himself, yet he could feel as if she was reading his mind, examining every corner, all the hidden places. Like a worm borrowing through he didn't know what to well...think.
Yet when the voice of his dead sister popped into his mind he looked up at her. Her race probably communicated with thoughts, so closing his eyes he sighed.
Well, why do you think? Your home is dried up, it's not right to have you just die. From what I've read about Queens in hives is that they cherish and take great pride in their workers and brood. You devouring them gave me a signal that you're probably on your last limbs looking for nourishment. I just want to take you to a new lush planet so you can start your life again, breed a new brood again, though i don't know how I'm going to do it. It's not like you're human after all... he communicated softly and slowly. Zeph had to admit this was kind of cool.

"Why... save me?" the alien asked, again using his sisters voice. "Those on the surface of this planet have long loathed our presence. They killed us in hundreds, drove us underground, and collapsed all the entrances and exits. I've seen your memories, you've made a living little big game creatures across the galaxy. Why safe what you could easily kill and be done with? What makes my species different from the others?"
The reply was calm in thought and message because of the voice used but it was clear the alien queen wasn't too happy about the predicament she found in.
"If looking like you could have solved our problems, I wouldn't be in this situation." she added. For emphasis on what she meant, she lowered her claw and like somebody crumpling up a piece of paper, the alien's body contorted and shape shifted before his very eyes. In a few seconds, standing opposite Zeph was a mirror image of himself except it was female.

He shook his head. "Yes it's true I'm a Hunter. Yet, in this world we all have a living, a job. Believe me if you've truely read my mind you know that I regret my work and loathe it sometimes."
He didn't have a real reason honestly, yet just as he was about to speak again she shifted into the image of his sister. Then his heart broke. Tears fell from his eyes as before him stood the girl that was killed right in front of his eyes all those years ago.
Without relizing he hugged her sobbing. "From listening to the people I never really got the picture that your race was evil." he said looking at her now with tears in his eyes. Hands on her shoulders he stared into the eyes of the sister that once used to look up to him, to care for him, to follow him around. "My heart just feels like it's the right thing to do, why question my actions? Please...I can't look at this image anymore..."
Falling onto the ground near her he began to sob loudly. "Oh Clarus! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I couldn't protect you when you needed me the most! I...your death is all my fault! if just protecting a Queen and giving her life could make up for that than I'll gladly take that risk..it's what you would have wanted."
Now he knew she wasn't real, yet deep in his heart the weight of his guilt still lingered. Zeph couldn't get over the fact that he couldn't protect her when she needed him the most. She was killed by an alien, that's what drove him to become a Hunter in the first place. He had learned to build up a wall and put away most of his emotions, but they were all melting away before the image of his sister standing in front of him. He couldn't take it. All those years of pain were now coming out of him. He was a little embarassed.

(Love how this random sister I thoughtlessly put in has now become some major linchpin in the story >.>)
Judging by his anguish and the overflowing amount of emotion, she'd made a mistake in taking this form. Having seen the event that haunted him so from his memories, Kha'per nodded and quickly muddied the image so it no longer resembled Zeph's sister but she remained human in form. Kneeling beside him, she gently pulled the space hunter into a compassionate hug.
"I understand for your pain," She said aloud, making use her human form's vocal capabilities. "While my race doesn't bond in the same way as yours does, with the death of each of my kind a little piece of me died."
This statement put lightly the horrors she'd been through, given the fact that she was the lone survivor of this nest and she'd been forced to eat her fallen family.

(You told me to 'wing-it' and I am. razz lol)
He gently touched her beautiful face. It was amazing that behind the appearance of this long red haired woman was a large bug like queen. "Sorry about that..I just miss her." he said slowly standing and taking her hand.
"I honestly don't have a reason, but does 'Kindness' really need a reason?" he asked looking at her human fingers. "I'm sorry for you loss as well. I kind of got the impression that your kind are Root Devourers mostly from all the dried up vegetable roots I've seen wandering this place."
Covering her hand with both of his Zeph gave a gentle nod. "I'm willing to travel across space to find you a new place to live and breed again, but it's up to you to decide. I won't kill you or anything though, I can't harm a woman no matter what race, or alien kind, she is." he said biting his lip a little.
This felt so awkward standing in front of...a nude woman. Relizing this fact he averted his eyes and blushed a deep shade of red.

(And great job you are doing! ^.^)
She nodded. "Carnivore naturally but onvivore by nature of survival. It wasn't particularly tasty but you eat what you must to live..."
Reading his thoughts and feeling his embarrassment through her supernatural touch, she smiled. "My apologies, my kind is unused to covering our forms." Shimmering briefly she suddenly sprouted clothes that matched Zeph's outfit and layout. "Better?"
