Tobias had been trying to hide the problems he had been having lately, but it was inevitable that someone else would notice. He had become more withdrawn than when he'd first come to live with Moira and Vic. He didn't want to leave his room very often, he especially didn't want to go outside, and when he DID go out he was unusually anxious and upset.
Today was no different. Tobias had opted to stay in his room and play with his figurines, making up elaborate worlds and executing complicated war scenarios or diplomatic scenes. He mostly got the ideas from the books that he had.

Moira had taken notice quite quickly of her sons 'predicament' and had done some research on what she could do about it without smothering him or just ignoring it. After a couple days of searching, she had come to the conclusion that a more 'natural' route for something like this might help. Sure, she didn't know exactly what was going on with Tobias, but with things starting to become more active, she couldn't be too careful. Gently knocking on the door to Tobias' room, she held a bag full of simple and simply wrapped gifts to her side.

Tobias looked up from his toys, blinked, and then stood. He walked over to the door and then opened it. "Oh. Hi..." He shifted his weight awkwardly, hoping she wasn't going to ask him to come out.
"Do you need somethin'?"

"Hey sweetie." She said softly, kneeling down so she was on level with him before spreading her wings to block the doorway. Moira had noticed that he seemed anxious whenever he went out of his room, so she had a feeling that the 'outside world' might be part of what was causing him to want to hole away in his room. "No, but I have something, well some things for you." the half angel held the bag out to him, hoping that he would like what she had gotten him.

Tobi blinked a few more times, becoming somewhat alarmed by her attempt to block out the rest of the house, even if it was well intended. "O-oh... th-thanks." He took the bag, noticing that it was rather heavy. "What's in it...?" He looked down into the bag curiously.

Moira smiled more, "A variety of things I hope you'll like. But you have to open them." she chuckled, waiting to see his reaction to the gifts. Inside the bag, which was actually rather large and decently heavy, was seven items she figured couldn't wait until the holidays to give him, so she decided to give him the items now.
The largest, size wise, of the items was an 8 inch Medicine Wheel/Dream Catcher that she had found in the same shop that she found the rest of the items, with the help of one of the newer Guardian!Metas named Giovanni. One of the larger orb-like items was a decently large Amethyst Ball that Tobias could hold in both of his hands, the next was an Antiqued Hanging Incense burner, and the two smaller wrapped items were an Amethyst ring and a bag of Protection Stones. Inside of the bag were two slightly smaller bags between all of the other wrapped items and they were samples of Cone and Resin incense.

Tobias nodded a little, and then plopped down on the ground to commence the opening. He took out each time one at a time, carefully examining every part of it before setting it down gently so he could pick up the next one. When he was finished he looked up at Moira. "Thank you. I like these a lot." He nodded a little. "But why now...? Aren't the presents not supposed to be opened for a few more days...?"

The half angel smiled, reaching out to gently pet Tobias' hair and smooth it down slightly, "Yes, but I felt like these couldn't wait. I felt like these could help you some - the Amethyst helps to protect you..." she said softly.

"Protect?" He tilted his head, and then looked down at the amethyst gifts. Had she noticed there was something wrong? He fidgeted a little, starting to get nervous again. "Like... from the killer in the town?"

She shook her head, her hand still on the boys head, "Not from whoever is doing that, no. Your Daddy and I have to protect you from him. Amethyst protects you from other bad things, bad things that normally we can't see unless we're sensitive to it." Moira whispered, her gaze softening. She was hoping that whatever was wrong with him wasn't a Malice, she had had enough of those a couple months back.

Tobias thought for a moment, then frowned deeply. "So ghosts and stuff?" He was pretty sure that the eyes and mouths weren't ghosts... at least, if they were, they were pretty lame for ghosts. Most of the ghosts he had heard of were a lot more sneaky.
"I don't think I can see ghosts. Well, not ghosts that aren't other Metas anyways." He shrugged a little and started rolling the amethyst ball in his hands.

Moira sighed softly, moving her hand from Tobias' head as she crouched there, thinking for a little bit. "Well, there are still things that we don't know about.. I just hope that these help with whatever you're going through. It pains me to see you locked up in your room so much." She frowned, feeling like her own biological mother had said that to her once.

Tobi rubbed at his head a little, frowning. "But I like it in here... its nice." He glanced out of his room, into the hallway, and then shrank back a little. Recently a rather large eye had take up residence on the hall ceiling, and he found it quite disturbing.
"Is it okay if I like it in here?"

She nodded, "It's fine that you like it in there, hon, I just would like to see a little bit more of you out and about when you're comfortable about leaving your room. If it'd help, I can be by your side as much as possible when you're out of your room. Would that help?" She asked, tilting her head.

Tobias thought about it for a moment, and then shrugged. "I guess... I don't like a lot of people though... so I don't really want to go outside..."
