 Mico smiled as he walked across the plains, just enjoying the day. Yvar had said he didn't need any help with his farm at the moment, so he was wandering for now. He wouldn't go too far; he would be returning to the farm that night, after all. The stallion blinked when he saw a spot of blue ahead. Curious, he headed towards it. Maybe it was someone friendly.

 The speck of blue turned into a pattern of black, white, and blue as the mare danced around in the assortment of puddles close by. It seemed as though rain had passed through this area, and she was intending on having fun with what mother nature left, her yellow eyes beaming with excitement. She only stopped when she noticed a patch of orange coming toward her. It certainly didn't look like Reth, her daddy's menacing boss. Who on earth could it be? Shade stopped her play as she gave a gentle snort greeting the one who was coming forward. "Hello! Fine day?" Sh asked pleasantly shaking her head a little as droplets of water bounced off her legs into the grasses underfoot. He seemed like a nice enough male..

"Hello," Mico greeted. "It is a fine day, thank you. And yourself?" This mare was definitely pleasant enough. "You seem to be having fun, but I could be mistaken," he added with a grin. The puddles were tempting, but he decided he should at least finish conversing before splashing in them.

Shade gave a grin at his voice. It sounded pleasant. "Oh quite fine! It rained yesterday cooling everything off and left these fun puddles to boot!" The mare gave a gentle giggle flicking her tail excitedly as she resisted the urge to splash in one that was close enough to get the stallion. At his comment, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Well duh! Of course I'm having fun. Who wouldn't? I'm alive am I not?" Shade eyed him with a tempting playfulness as she trotted around her puddle playground, her braid bouncing against her neck, tail being just as bouncing behind her rump as it waved. "What's your name? I'm Shade." She offered stopping again in front of him to settle herself, wings close to her back to keep them from getting too wet. She would need them to fly home later.

Mico chuckled. "Well, I had to make sure. You could've been a ghost or a figment of my imagination. Though I do have to admit, figments of my imagination are usually less Azrien-shaped..." He watched her prance around, lightly splashing one of the puddles near him. "I'm Mico. It's nice to meet you, Shade."

Her mouth quirked a little flicking her tail toward him. "Well what kind of figments do you usually have?" The mare asked with a curiosity, her ears flicking forward and then back watching him with inquisitive, yellow eyes. "Are they cloud shaped? Or puddle shaped? Or animal shaped?" Shade questioned coming forward a bit close looking up at him with a child-like curiosity. She offered a grin shaking her head with excitement. "It's great to meet you. What are you doing out here anyway?" She asked curiously tilting her head a little.

"Hm... well, it depends on the day. They're usually plant-shaped or rock-shaped. Sometimes they're shaped like the things in my human friend's house. A few times I had mouse-shaped ones. They liked dancing." To her question, Mico smiled brightly. "I'm enjoying the day, of course."

Shade's head tilted more out of curiosity than anything. My this stallion sure did have a huge imagination! Her eyes danced at the thought of plants, rocks, and even animals coming into her mind and from there coming to life in front of her simply for her enjoyment. The mare giggled absently to herself before perking up a little. "As strange as it sounds, I have never really seen a human home. I've seen humans a few times before, but nothing serious...what are they like? And what sorts of things are in their homes?" Shade came to a stop beside him giving a small, inquisitive snort. "The day is nice, isn't it? It's so wonderful! That's why I came out here just to see what it's like. I figure since my brother struck out on his own, why not me? But I love my mother too much to leave her for too long." Her ears flicked forward and back for a moment thinking about the elder mare. "What else do you enjoy? Do you have anything you like to do for fun?" Shade was extremely inquisitive and well she hadn't really had much interaction outside of her family. And Mico seemed like he was kind enough to be tolerant of her questions. It was a good thing she ran into a stallion such as he rather than some rude brute!

"That doesn't sound too strange. I haven't seen the whole house; I've only been in the walkway and the kitchen--er, the place where humans prepare food," he explained. "Yvar's a farmer, so there's lots of vegetables in his house. He also has a lute--a musical instrument--in the corner of the kitchen. He says it's his treasure. He also has pots and other shiny things to cook or eat with, a lot of stuff made out of wood, a stove to cook things in... He has a clock too--it's something that tells what time of the day it is, and at certain times of the day it chimes!" Mico nodded, smiling brightly. "It is! I was hoping I'd see a rainbow since it just rained. And it's nice of you to stay with your mother. I'm sure that makes her happy too." At her last question, he thought about it. "I enjoy a lot of things. I like helping Yvar with his farming, and I like the vegetables that he lets me eat. I like when it's sunny because it's warm, and I like the rain because it makes puddles and rainbows--and it helps the plants grow!" He grinned. "I like jumping in puddles for fun. And running in open fields, playing games... and learning new things!" His smile didn't fade as he added, "And this is fun too." Just talking was fine too. Talking to Shade was fun.

Shade perked with interest as Mico described the things his human friend had. "Yvar?" The mare attempted to pronounce the human's name correctly fighting her tongue with it. Her nostrils flared and ears flicked as she sounded it more and more until she felt like she got it correctly. "Farm? That must be interesting! Do you plow his fields like I see some azrein do? The clock must be useful. And I think I have heard a lute before....it sounds quite melodious. I'd like to visit one day with you if you let me." The mare nodded eagerly to each of the things he liked finding it quite fun that she could find a stallion that was so alike to her. "That does indeed sound like so much fun! I enjoy talking to you too, Mico." The mare shuffled her wings a little as she looked out toward the puddles that were still left. "Did you want to splash in some puddles with me?" Shade asked with a wide smile pawing at the ground, eager to play again. Her neck shook as she gave a gentle snort.

"Mm-hmm. Yeh-var." Mico smiled. "Uh-huh! He has some pretty large fields, so I help him plow. He lets me sleep in his barn so that I can sleep somewhere warm at night. And the lute makes beautiful sounds when Yvar plays it. Though he always has a sad smile on his face when he does..." He beamed when she said she'd like to visit. "Of course! That would be fun." His smile spread across his maw and morphed into a wide grin. "I'd love to splash in some puddles with you," he replied cheerfully.

"Oh wow! No wonder you're a big fella!" Shade giggled a little wiggling her body in the moment of excitement. "Is the barn warm? I've never been in one before. I've seen them though and sometimes they don't look very safe." The younger mare's mouth quirked a little as she fluttered her wings to stretch them. Shade didn't want to bring up the lute any longer if it made Mico's human sad. So without further adieu, she gave a giggle and immediately splashed in the closest puddle to them which splashed the both of them. "Puddle tag!" The mare laughed shaking with excitement as she danced about a little bit.

Mico blushed. "I'm not that big..." He smiled and nodded. "It's warm, especially on the hay. I think it's safe. I've never had anything happen to prove to me that it wasn't." He blinked and laughed when he was splashed. "Ok! You asked for it!" He happily joined in the splashing, acting with all of the enthusiasm and playfulness of a young colt.

Shade gave a bit of a giggle. "Are too, are too!" The mare's body wiggled a little as she continued to pounce in more puddles attempt to dodge the stallion's 'assault'. "Oh I bet! At home, we sleep close together to keep all of us warm on leaves and moss. It's surprisingly comfortable except for the occasional bed bug and twig." Shade stuck out her tongue a little bit as if to reiterate her discomfort. However, her playing with Mico soon lightened her mood yet again as they bounced and leaped about one another. Eventually, the puddles started to turn into mud and Shade got the idea to start slinging mud instead of water. Boy that was becoming fun!

Mico sighed and just let the topic go, happily splashing puddles with her. "Ah, that sounds nice," he replied. Being in even a small group of Azrien, huddling together for warm... He let out a sound of surprise as he was hit with mud instead of water. "Hey," he complained. "My coat's got enough brown on it!" He started flinging mud back at her, trying not to laugh so much so that he didn't get any in his mouth.
