Still more of a fawn than the robust hart that he actually is, Rocín is always looking for fun and bold enough to get it. Perpetually optimistic, he's not likely to be put down and seeks to bring others up, too, his persistence often drifting into obnoxious territory. He's affectionate with anyone who will allow it and even those who won't, undeterred by violence. Hell, he approaches fights with the same playfulness as he does anything else, as Rocín hates being serious. Losing won't upset him, so who knows what would?
Relationship With Chosen
Much to Ferdinand's never-ending frustration, Rocín is a very affectionate and playful Guardian. Even now that he's grown into an adult, Rocín enjoys teasing and pestering Ferdinand to go out, seemingly oblivious to his Chosen's anger. He's learned by now that the man never follows through with his threats, but even Rocín knows when to stop harassing his Chosen. At his core, Rocín feels a lot of concern for Ferdinand and wants him to be happy, settling down and just lending an ear or an understanding nudge when his Chosen most needs it. It's then that they most appreciate each other.

Personality
Not at all as frigid as her icy pelt might suggest, Snowbell is a gentle and nurturing doe who makes it her goal to see to it that everyone is safe and happy, at her best when she is tending to others. She expects no great praise in return, simply wishing for harmony, but her strong desire to keep others in line may drive her to be controlling and stubborn if she is disobeyed. Not so delicate despite her fretful nature, she will turn violent against threats to her Chosen, or really anyone who needs it, startlingly self-sacrificing. Although Snowbell has a rather one-track mind and it wouldn't be too off the mark to call her uncompromising and even domineering, she really does mean well. She could just learn to back off a bit...
Relationship With Chosen
...But Snowbell will probably never back off with Gabriel, who needs all the guidance he can get. Because of her strong morals, she is always at odds with her Chosen's love of crime for the fun of it. It's hard enough accepting the idea of stealing to survive, but Gabe's mischief drives her mad. With Snowbell always trying to keep him in line while Gabe makes it a game of seeing how long he can evade her, one would think their relationship might get strained. Well, yeah, sometimes. But at the end of the day, Snowy is the warmest thing Gabe knows, and Gabe is the most precious of Snowy's flock. Anyway, she's found a great way of getting him scuttling on back: Gabe gets jealous when Snowbell turns her kindness onto others, be it other runaways in the gang or even random strangers who look like they need soothing. Then it's Gabe being driven mad by his Guardian's backwards manner.

Personality
Tallow is a rather stand-offish buck, though by no means shy. He simply prefers to be left alone to observe, alert eyes always darting about and ears flicking every which way. Aside from that, he may as well be a statue for how rigid he is. If approached, Tallow is civil, though aloof as ever. If pressed, he can be quick-tempered, driving others away with his antlers. Tallow's odd in that he has no problem standing completely still for ages just keeping vigil, but he still manages to be impatient when it comes to others. It's probably best to leave him to his guarding.
Relationship With Chosen:
To be frank, Tallow is simply disappointed in Jack, often extending into annoyance, further developing into frustration, finally culminating to a horrific cacophony of screaming and stampeding (and the faint tinkle of a bell) in the shop as Jack tries desperately to escape Talllow's unforgiving antlers. He has a bit of a temper where Jack has none, and he can't help that he gets impatient with his Chosen's pushover nature. True, Tallow holds a lot of disdain for Jack, but protects him above all, believing he is the only one who can hurt the little coward. After all, as his Guardian, Tallow's taken it upon himself to whip his Chosen into a respectable, proud man.

Personality
A gentle buck, Petri wants nothing more than to be babied and coddled, heaping seemingly boundless love on others in the hopes of them returning in kind—and it really is everyone he'll approach, almost too trusting and obedient right off the bat, heedless to any dangers the world might pose because life is beautiful and everyone can stand to stop and smell the flowers (or rain) every once and a while, right? Despite his placid manner, however, Petri has a surprising mischievous streak, breaking rules and questioning authority if it tries to suppress his happy-go-lucky nature, and so long as his antics don't hurt anyone, his greatest fear.
Relationship With Chosen:
...As one can imagine, this stark contrast to his Chosen's own wary and workaholic nature causes a lot of friction between the two. It's not as bad as it once was, but Kozel still occasionally blames Petri for any misfortune that might come his way. At least now sometimes it's jokingly. Although Petri hasn't rubbed off on Kozel as much as he would have liked, he still manages to be a calming presence when his Chosen gets too frantic. So long as he doesn't look at Kozel with those eyes, anyway.

Personality
A deer who thinks she's a cat who thinks she's a dog, Monae is aloof to the point of skittishness when it comes to anyone who isn't her Chosen, Jane. It would be a mistake to assume her to be a complete scaredy-cat, however, as she shows a startling ferocity when it comes to her territory, her Chosen, or even just other animals and Guardians. Completely spoiled, Monae seems content forging her own world with Jane and Jane alone. Just don't separate them, otherwise Monae tends to panic.
Relationship With Chosen:
Monae's bond with her Chosen was unusually strong since she first emerged, loyal and loving at first sight. She showers affections on Jane constantly, but can't seem to stand anyone else. Sometimes it can be hilarious and Jane will encourage the behavior, while other times it can be downright obnoxious to have such a possessive and needy Guardian. Still, Monae would do anything to protect her Chosen, while Jane is just glad to have a friend she'll never lose.

Personality
Named after an idyllic little village from a fairy tale her Chosen was told as a boy, Taz truly does wish to be a refuge from the seemingly-harsh outside world. However, her fearful and submissive nature makes it seem more like she's the one who needs comforting, as she's spooked by anything new and unknown. And yet, despite her meekness, Tazmily has a strong conviction to get over her fears and be brave for her family.
Relationship With Chosen:
Solomon's distance probably doesn't help, however, and his inner loathing and misanthropy have shaped his Guardian for the worse. While he's not completely neglectful, he's pretty close to it, more focused on tending to his sister and brooding about. He might throw some self-conscious affection towards his Guardian as an afterthought, probably when his sister reminds him of the poor creature, but mostly Solomon is too used to being lonely, and Tazmily is too timid to get his attention.

Personality
Wary, weary, wayward Zorya. She does not do well with others, prickly and liable to bite if pestered. A rather guarded Guardian, her gentler nature is made known only to a close few she trusts; otherwise, she prefers to drive others off with her solemn and intimidating nature. Although she might seem rash with judging others, Zorya is simply cautious about new people and situations and prefers to hang back and observe before making any decisions. She is especially keen on studying the behaviors of others, always looking out for the dangerous type she knows only too well in her own Chosen.
Relationship With Chosen:
If Vuk is a monster putting on a sweet face, Zorya is the opposite—a quiet, patient doe playing the beast for her Chosen. Loyal to a fault, but not completely trusting, she is careful and tries to keep Vuk's conniving in check while still maintaining an obedient manner. She takes the Guardian role very seriously and, while she does not like it, will quickly turn vicious if her Chosen is threatened. In truth, Zorya pities Vuk, as she is the only one he can be truly honest to. He confides in her often enough, certainly, and his affection towards her isn't an act like so much of his kindness is. Vuk truly is grateful for Zorya, though he doesn't realize how much he worries his Guardian.

Personality
Spoiled rotten thanks to her Chosen's high standing in Sunderland's upper class, Edelweiss is concerned only with the finer things in life, a rare Guardian who not only eats and drinks, but devours and imbibes to excess. A glutton and a sloth, she expends effort only to find more to consume and is stubborn to move otherwise, taking frequent naps in-between gorging herself and still looking forever tuckered out by her bacchanalia. Despite how large she is, she can be surprisingly sprightly when she finds it in herself to be playful and affectionate, or even aggressive if someone tries to push her too far into doing something she doesn't want—despite how silly and harmless she may seem, Edel is not at all afraid to throw her weight around if anything dares interrupt her cravings.
Relationship With Chosen:
Edelweiss is decadent and depraved, Hollis will tell you, and she's sorry she didn't discipline her Guardian better. Embarrassed of her at best and frustrated with her at worst, Hollis wishes very badly to whip Edelweiss into shape, having big dreams of being a proper Warden. Edel, of course, is having none of it. She mostly ignores Hollis, but when push comes to shove... it's surprisingly the Chosen who comes on top! Hollis is probably the only one who can get Edel to leave her sweets and wine, if only for a moment. Their relationship is mostly strained, for how different they are, but every once in a while, when even Hollis needs a break, the two can be found sharing a drink.

Personality
A big heart kept on a short leash, Honey is as sweet as his namesake. He'll love on anyone, stranger and family alike, and is especially patient with children, though he hardly gets to show his affectionate side thanks to his Chosen. Nonetheless, he'll sneak a snuggle now and again, not as stuffy as his regal appearance and rigid stature might suggest. However, he has a gallant streak in him, and can be a bit over-eager to step in if he senses trouble. Only step in, mind you -- Honey can be rather skittish about acting for himself or defending, and expects others to take care of things once he finds them.
Relationship With Chosen:
Namely, Honey expects his Chosen to take care of everything. Raised since fawnhood to be as disciplined as a hunting hound, it should be noted that Honey wasn't named after the sweet: he was actually named after the honey badger. Septimus hoped his Guardian would be as notoriously fierce and invincible as one. Not so much. Honey obediently follows Septimus' every command, though he hesitates when it comes to fighting, often giving up after being attacked back. Septimus often grows frustrated with this failure, but refuses to acknowledge Honey as less than perfect anyway, even as the Guardian tends to bumble into bad situations.
