She walked quickly. It was raining outside and she hated being soaking wet right before going in for her shift. It was early in the morning, as she always had the job of opening the store. She had the job of closing it too but this was not as common as opening it. She had decide not to bring her precious corgi with her today as she knew how much her baby could not stand the rain. It messed her beautiful coat up.
She sighed and keep walking, it was going to be a boring day. Most people didn't go to the store if it was raining. There was no point really, they could just snuggle up inside with a book they already read instead of buying another one. She needed something to cheer her up. What could cheer her up and her store. Oh! That right, flowers. She loved flowers and it would make her store smell wonderful. She walked quickly to the store and quickly walked through the door.
She smiled and gently inhaled the fresh aroma. It was wonderful, she moved to the clerk desk and gently spoke, "Is anyone here?"

Krishna was not at the front desk because he had retreated to the back room to grab a towel. His shirt was peeled off and draped over a chair to dry off, a sight which made him scowl even as he rubbed at his rainbow hair. He should be comforted by the fact that the rain was not snow--it was nearly cold enough for it. But it was scarcely a comfort when his clothes were completely soaked and his carefully arranged hair splashed out of place. Even if he succeeded in drying it, it wouold be overly fluffy and... it was just going to bother im all day,he knew it. The ding of the bell on the door and the soft call from themain part of the store made him jerk to attention. A customer? So early? 'Of course....' Grumpy as he was, he could not afford to let any business pass him by, not when he still needed to finish up paying the repair bills for the shop. He would justhave to make the best out of a bad situation, which... honestly was nothing new. Nothing to be flustered over. So, he draped the towel around his bare shoulders and stepped out into the shop. The florist was not the least bit self-concious about his bared chest, and his words were crisp and professional, "Welcome to Padma's Bouquet. How may I help you?"

She looked at him and had to force a smile. This was the first time she had came to this flower shop and might be her last. How unprofessional, what gave him the nerve to come out her without a shirt on. She would never do that, well saying that she was a girl and that would be very horrible but still. She was forcing a smile on the outside but in the inside she was frowning. She looked away and let her frown placed on her lips but she quickly shook it off and looked back to him.
She let out a small smile as she talked as it as something she always did but she still felt uncomfortable. "Well I was looking to get a bouquet of flower for my shop. Would you help me to pick some out that would make my store smell good and look nice at the same time?" she said.
She would hate to admitted it but he did had a good body but she shook that out her head, as fast as it got there.Quicksilver the Archangel

bunnyilove Sorry it took me so long to reply! During her speech, the florist continued to rub at his wet hair, but his eyes showed rapt attention. When she had asked her question, Krishna stopped his motions, once again draping the towel over his shoulders. With a nod and a crook of his finger, he motioned for the woman to follow, "My pleasure. This way." He began walking slowly amongst the flowers, but pride was evident in his voice as he spoke, "Any of my plants would make a room look nice... but smell is another matter, particularly in winter. Pointsettas are popular this time of year, but have no scent." He motioned to the red flowers with a wave of his hand, but he passed them by. Clearly they were not his destination. The area they stopped at had several different types of flowers, and he pointed to each that seemed relevant as he recited, "Currently, I have winter daphne, witchazel, and sweetbox, but they may have more of a limb appearance than you wish?" He turned his attention back to her, awaiting her answer.

She gave a small smile. He wasn't good with his appearance but at least he was polite which was something that Abbott greatly enjoyed. So this wasn't that horrible, she could stand it without scoffing at everything because he was not wearing a shirt. She followed quietly behind him looking and smelling the flowers. It was a sight and smell to behold. It was bright and wonderful and it made her feel a bit upset that she couldn't work in a place that smelled so wonderful.
She nodded and looked at the Pointsettas. She knew about them as her mother dressed her house with them at this time. She had no interested in picking one for her shop as it only brought band memories of those stupid cats.
She followed again and smiled as if he knew that the pointsettas was not something she wanted. She came up to him and looked to all the flowers he point out and nodded. Gently making her way to smell them. "They all smell well, but you are correct. They too much of a limb appearance for me." she said with a small smile.Quicksilver the Archangel

The man nodded, brushing some wayward strands of rainbow hair back into place as he listened to her decision. Yes, too limby--he had suspected as much. He, personally, found the wooden boughs easy enough to cover in a bouquet and liked the natural quality they brought--and he said as much. "Pity. They offer a natural, and unique, look." Still, he moved towards the other flowers. If she had more pedestrian tastes, then it could not be helped. He motioned to some different, more familiar blooms, indicating each with a slight nod of his hand, "Roses are typically popular, and I have them in many colors. The narcissus is lovely this year, and I have many fine carnations. Do any of these meet your needs?"

She brushed the word "pity" off and offer a "hmph". She just didn't like so it wasn't a pity for her. She only strived for best for her store, so she did not want some limpy flowers in it. She moved on, hoping that he would show her flower that deserved the rights to be placed in her store. Yes, she might seem a little up tight but she only wanted the best and nothing more.
She wasn't much for roses as they were flowers that people gave to their lovers and she just didn't want that in he store. Narcissus was alo not her her style either but she did enjoy carnations. They were pretty and simple, something she enjoy in everything. The simple thing in life was the best. She finally let out a smile of joy and loomed over the carnations happily. "I think I will take these," he point to them and smile at him, "I would like them in various colors that fit well together. Please do not jumble up the colors, so many three colors that fit very well together, is that fin sir?" she plainly stated.Quicksilver the Archangel

Krishna saw her 'hmph' and raised her an eyebrow in return, folding his arms over his chest as she hovered over his carefully cultivated blooms. If she wanted a priss off contest, he could oblige. His feathers only really became ruffled at her insinuation that he could not do his job, and his tone became clipped, "I never 'jumble up' my flowers. Ever." He left her side long enough to pull on his work gloves and grab his garden cutters. Moving around his customer, he quickly and efficiently snipped five red, five white, and three white with red trim along the edges of its blossoms. These he held onto easily enough, moving over to the boquet making table. He did not ask if the colors were acceptable; they met all of her requests. Instead, he asked, "Vase or paper and ribbon?"

She looked to the male as his tone became clipped and smiled. Well it seemed that he took great pride in his work, which was good. Something the Abbot enjoyed seeing. She hated when people really teenager these days didn't care about their job and didn't put any effort into it. It bugged her greatly. "Well that's a good thing to hear. I like that you take pride in that and that you know stuff." she said in a smooth calming tone. She didn't want to upset the man but she knew that sometimes she came off to hard. She was a perfectionist and everything had to be perfect, really when she was buying something.
She watched him as he clipped the flowers and smiled. It made her a it happy that he didn't ask what colors she wanted. She liked when people tok control of what had to be done in their shop, it remind her of herself. She wouldn't ask what book they wanted on the genre and what interested they like and would always pick the right book. So it seem to her that this guy was doing the same with his flowers, which was a good trait. She smiled at him as he talk and raised a eyebrow, "Well sir, you didn't ask me what colors I thought were acceptable so why should I answer this. You should know what looks the best." she said with a cat like grin.Quicksilver the Archangel

Krishna returned the grin with a humph, moving over to the glass vases with an unquestionable air of confidence. "I do." Without another word he set to his work. First, he set the flowers down on the table and snipped the stemps with a pair of scissors. Next, he pulled a tall, but relatively thin, fluted vase with a slight wave on the lip from beneath the table. After checking the size of the stems for length, he moved away from the table long enough to half-fill the vase with water. The florist carefully placed the now filled vessel on the table, a frown of concentration on his face as he began to place each individual flower. He clustered the bi-colored blooms in the center before radiating an alternating pattern of white and red. The curve of the lip perfectly matched the ribboning edge of the flowers. The milky green coloring of the glass softened the stark green of the stems, making it appear as though the carnations were rising from a puff of seafoam. At least, that is what Krishna thought. He did not adorn it with a ribbon or anything else, but slid it across the table to her. "Finished. If you'll follow me to the register?" If she wanted anything different, it was 'speak now or forever hold your peace' time.

She shrugged and tilted her had with aloof expression. It seemed like this male didn't like to do be tease, which was ok but she didn't care all that much to really try anymore.
She simply just watch as he work and smiled a bit. He was good at he was doing, which made her feel good inside. Again if it was one thing Abbott liked about others was that they knew there work well. She would have liked a ribbon on the vase but he was the follower caretaker so he probably knew better then her what looked best.
"Sure I will." She said with a small smile and nod.Quicksilver the Archangel Sorry about the wait. My computer is on the fritz. u Au orz

bunnyilove That's okay! I'm a little slow too. Krishna savored his customer's silence. She seemed appropriately impressed by his skill, and that made up a bit for the percieved insult he had recieved earlier. With a nod he lead her to the cash register. The florist rung up the purchase, his voice nothing but polite, "That will be $28.50, please."

She nodded as he told her the price and gently went into her pruse and grabbed the money. She quickly grabbed two twenty dollar bills and handed over to the male. "Keep the change." She said with a small smile.
She didn't mind tipping if the owner did the right job and did the right job he did. She smiled up to him and lightly bent over to smell the flower. "I'm so glad you were open. These smell wonderful and they well make my little shop smell so good!" she let out with a bright smile.Quicksilver the Archangel

Krishna did not even hesitate. He accepted the two twenty dollar bills and placed them in the appropriate places in the register. The extra amount he extracted from the til and placed in the tip jar that sat beside his counter. Her obvious pleasure at his decision made him give a smug grin. Still, let it not be said he was ungracious, as he bowed his head to accept the compliment. In truth, the words meant more to him than the money. "I thought they would please you. Do come again."
