Avoiding the constant nagging of her half-sister, Vanya Gwilwilethel, Black Shot pranced happily away from the groves that they have lived in for so long. They were nothing alike, and Black Shot couldn't even fly! The mare did enjoy the magical feeling of having her useless wings around her though. For now, she would just have to avoid returning home for a few days... but who was she told not to speak to? Oh yes! The ones from the south!

Smirking, she frolicked around, obviously intending to go down south. Vanya had never told her why not to though, so why not? Besides, she did have another half-sister down there, so what was there to harm?

Embarrassed, Black Shot regained her balance not too long after the nudge. Not to mention that her coat was now redder on its normally red areas near her face. "Vanya! I told you not to.." she looked up at the stranger, noticing that it was not Vanya just by seeing the cloven hooves. A stallion. Her eyes grew wide in amazement. Her first stallion that she ever met. And she did not intend to meet one so early. Wow! Was this how they looked?

Without hesitating to answer his question, she babbled, "Umm.. I'm good. You just have to make sure where you go next time," she giggled. "You look just like me and my sister! Well, you're a um.. little different with your squinty eyes and horns and stuff, but I'm Black Shot!" The mare announced her name with pride, loving the idea of meeting a stallion even before Vanya. What pleasure this was!

Black Shot nodded at his promise. He would better have to watch where he was stepping next time. What if Vanya caught him around here? She feared of what she would do, call the guards forth and destroy the handsome beast that stood before her? "I was going to find out about what's down south.", she whispered, not even knowing that he was one of them. "My sister said that they are terrible creatures and would kill one another for fun, but that's just silly! Right?" To her, her question was serious. She wanted to know more about them.

Giggling a bit at his flattery, she shook her head. "The only ones following me around is my sister, and we should leave before she finds us." Without giving him any direction, Black Shot pranced around him, finding an interest in his four eyes. How they went along swell with his coat and his wings. Vanya was so wrong about stallions, and she would prove that soon enough.

Black Shot ended her circling for he was right. He would just end up bumping into her again. She watched as his muscles moved and she stiffened. "Demoni..." she knew that she had to ask because of his offer. Him being her guide? Especially down south? "...are you from the south?" There was a hint of fear, but she tried to find it with curiosity.

She sighed. He was honest, one of the rarest things left in the world. Does he scare her? Black Shot thought for a moment while being drawn into his peculiar eyes. Gentle, but also strange, but in a good way. That was what she concluded about them. Not wanting to give Demoni a direct answer, she paraphrased his question, "Do I scare you?" Black Shot already knew that chances were that he would say no, but then again, she knew almost nothing about him. Which made him more interesting than anything else so far.

She smiled, filled with satisfacation. Never before had someone said those words to her, least all Vanya told her was to quit bugging her and stuff, but Demoni did not seem to mind her being around. Her heart was filled with joy. He was afraid of her leaving! "Well, are you ready to show me your lands?" she asked, ready for her journey south.

Black Shot was tingling with excitement. Rebelling against her own kind! Heading south with one of them! She left her mane fly wild for a short moment, watching as the blacks and reds blended with one another and then was wrapped by one of Demoni's wings. It felt largely different than those that she was used to, but she did not care. Someone actually wanted her company, and none of her sisters did, so an idea sparked in her. Stay with Demoni where she would actually be appreciated.

"I'm ready." she replied full of truth. Though she was not able to tell what was to come after stepping across the borders, she did know that this was the big change in life that she was always being told of. But switching alliances? Probably never. "This is great!" the mare commented, thrilled of everything that was happening.
