 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Hello all, and welcome to the Feverous Fireside roleplaying setting. I'll be your host, here to keep you entertained during the holiday festivities. We are gathered here by the fireplace to enjoy the warmth that bringing friends together provides. Make the best of your time together, as many of us may again be preoccupied afterwards. Memories made under the mistletoe last a lifetime. So take a seat around the fire and be prepared to tell stories and enjoy each-others company to the fullest. War leaves its trail,
In moonlight so pale... Lyn shivered a little as she headed over to the fireplace, casting an eye upwards so she could skirt around the mistletoe that had been hung up. She found a spot almost on the hearth to sit, and curled up there, muttering darkly about winter, her least favorite season. ...Its shadows, they flow,

Dreylen War leaves its trail,
In moonlight so pale... Lyn shivered a little as she headed over to the fireplace, casting an eye upwards so she could skirt around the mistletoe that had been hung up. She found a spot almost on the hearth to sit, and curled up there, muttering darkly about winter, her least favorite season. ...Its shadows, they flow,

He peered over his book at the girl joining him. She didn't seem happy, and he decided to try comforting her.
"Not interested in mistletoe? Shame, I was really looking forward to kissing that pretty face of yours. Any plans for the holidays other than this?"

Lyn looked up at the horned man that was reading a book, and sniffled a little, rubbing irritably at her nose with a tissue from her pocket. color=Darkred]"Besides keeping warm? Trying to stay sane at work. Maybe finish up a few projects I've got going." A long tail uncurled from her skirt to loop around her legs, the furred part resting on her feet. She smiled lopsidedly after a moment. "You really should be thanking me for staying out from under the mistletoe. I've got a cold, and I don't want to spread it."

"That sounds nice. Work is a real pain in the a** this time of the year. So many bitchy customers." Rolling his eyes at the thought of all the frizzy haired manic women clawing at him for the rest of the week, he rested his face in his hands. "We'll get through it though. And I'm sure the cold would have been worth it."

Lyn chuckled a little at his comment. "It sure is. At least I don't have to deal with customers unless they're trying to find something on the shelves." She covered an abrupt sneeze, and sighed. "It was an excuse to call off work already, anyhow. I'm just concerned about how much crazier people are going to get."

Dreylen Lyn chuckled a little at his comment. "It sure is. At least I don't have to deal with customers unless they're trying to find something on the shelves." She covered an abrupt sneeze, and sighed. "It was an excuse to call off work already, anyhow. I'm just concerned about how much crazier people are going to get."
"If it'll be anything like Thanksgiving, I'm going to die. I swear the managers find small ways to punish people that call off at my store." Grim cringes at the thought of having to go back to that store, especially after his late shift tonight. "But oh well, I suppose the holidays will bring out the crazy in everyone. Enjoying time with friends and family will hafta keep us from going mad".

Lyn laughed mirthlessly at his comment about family keeping them sane. "Yeah, that'd work for most people. My dad drives me more insane than work does, though. He's half as patient as any of my managers." She rubbed her hands over her face with a sigh. "Doesn't help that all the new managers at my store are the sort that lead by scolding, not by example."

"Oh, apologies. Guess it really sucks not having anywhere to really relax. Other than here of course. You can relax with me, I've been told I'm pretty good at relaxing people", he says with a smirk.

After working late for the past two nights, Grim finally rejoins the Feverous Fireside.
"Sorry about suddenly disappearing. I guess I probably don't hafta tell you what working at a grocery story during the holidays is like".
Slumps down next to Drey, his eyes heavy.

Lyn had found her way back to the fireside after working herself, and smiled wearily at Grim as he sat next to her. "No, you do not. I'm just now warming up from a shift, myself. And I've got an 8 hour shift in a couple of days."

Kelly tiptoed into the room, her ears twitching to the sounds of the crackling fire. Her green eyes spotted some mistletoe above her and quickly looked around. She only spotted a little tapir underneath it. Her mind imagined the embarrassing Christmas pictures of her kissing a tapir. She blushed madly and skirted around the hanging plant to find a spot by the fireplace, her black heels softly clicking on the floor.
Slowly, the kitty found a spot by the fire and sat down on the floor, folding her cream colored dress underneath her. She reached her hands down to her feet and undid her heels, slipping them off so she could relax.
"Nya~ That's much betters."
