The sun was beginning to set, and already Ohtli was still lounging about near the borders. She was humming to herself, staring up at the sky. She no longer talked relentless about her ‘fallen friends’; she had since come to the conclusion that they didn’t care for her as she had cared for them. Her friends were likely still in the Kizi lands, strolling over the morning lake, telling their stories to other lionfolk.
Ohtli had heard enough stories to be able to tell them to others.
To say the darkened lioness was less crazy wouldn’t be all correct, instead, she was just becoming more mellow. Perhaps living in the pridelands did that to you. There was no need to fret in this lands, and the once friends you knew from the past were almost nonexistent with the new friends you would meet on a daily basis. Speaking of friends, approaching, Ohtli saw the pale lioness she had become close too. Otea had a litter of cubs with a rogue male, and Ohtli was there to help her in her times of need.

“There you are, Oht,” Otea said with a smile. “You haven’t seen Soren around, have you?”
Her humming ceased as her red eyes scanned her friend. “Soren?” Ohtli voice was soft, almost whimsical. She rose to her feet, dusting off her pelt as she shook her head.
“Not today.”
Otea sighed. Her son had seemed to acquired her wanderlust and therefore was never around when she wanted. “Well, if you see him, tell him I’m looking for him, alright?” The lioness said with a heavy sigh. She didn’t want her son to end up like her—hurt in the southlands and left for dead. She didn’t know what she would do.
“Someone approaches---“
Ohtli’s voice drifted softly in the wind, causing Otea to turn sharply towards the newcomer. She was quite weary of strangers after the incident with Suoh. With fur hackled on end, she narrowed her eyes. Her first response would be to run, but she wouldn’t leave her friend out here on her own.

He was out of place here. Though that hadn't meant that he cared much. Jakk had very little care for boundaries, and that included pridal boundaries. He walked slowly, languidly, as he made his way through the grasses. He was caught off guard by how pretty it was here. Not that it was as pretty as home. It was hard to compare the two places though, as he was used to walking across sand. He had to admit, walking in the grass while drunk would have his advantages. Not falling over his own paws might be one of them.. but then again.. he wasn't sure that it would help much. The air was.. different here. He didn't much care for it, but he was just traveling and wandering. He had no where to be, nor did he have any desire to have a destination for the moment. "G'Evening, ladies." He said, winking a bit as he approached. He had hoped he would find a pretty little thing to preoccupy his time. He didn't recognize this stranger.. And he was no guard, but he saw two ladies who were going to be harassed by someone who didn't belong here. He frowned, pushing his way forward until he was beside the lionesses that he had been watching. He had been merely passing by, caught by the beauty of the two. He was glad he had stopped now, because they might need his help. "You! Ruffian. What is your purpose here?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. He didn't much care about strangers, but when it was a large male approaching two of his pridemates.. He felt as if it was his duty. Now if it had been his sister.. it might have been another story.. "What purpose do you have, bothering these ladies?" -- Jakk grinned, looking at the male, then back at the females. "I don't think they look very bothered." He answered.

“Who are you?” Otea asked, eyes narrowing. She wasn’t the nicest to strangers, not after what had happened to her in the rogue lands.
Ohtli on the other hand, was more so friendlier. “Good evening sir,” she turned her attention to a fellow member approaching, a smile on her face as well. “and good evening to you too, sir,” Ohtli greeted towards Knox.
“Oh, he’s not bothering us, right Otea?” Ohtli asked her friend, gazing at the stranger. She had agreed with the stranger for certain.
“Speak for yourself, Oht.” Otea muttered, siding with Knox at this point. She was grateful for the male to have come. Hopefully if they needed the protection, he would be the right guy.
“So who are you stranger? Ruffian as—“ she didn’t know Knox’s name. “…as he calls you is? I’m Ohtli, and this is my friend Otea…Although, she may beg to differ at the name right now.”
To say Otea was mad with Ohtli would be an understatement. She was quite furious that her friend would give out such personal information. And to a stranger?! How dare she! The pale lioness hmphed, narrowing her eyes as she refused to look at Jakk. Instead, she settled for a nice blade of grass.

Jakk grinned, it seemed he couldn't help but continuously smile. These two were hilarious, or to him they were. They weren't really joking though, or at least, the pale one wasn't. He liked her spunk, and he found himself looking her over. He was thankful she was looking at the blade of grass, averting her eyes from seeing just who he was staring at. Then his eyes turned back towards the darker female. "My name be Jakk. Captain Jakk." He didn't give his pirate name, not wanting to bring what he did into the conversation. Ladies didn't care to hear about his tales usually. And when they did, they wanted more from him than a roll in the hay. "Pleasure to meet you, and your little friend." He said, looking between the two girls, and ending with the male. Knox's eyes narrowed, as he glared daggers at the newcomer. "What is your purpose here? You don't belong in these lands." It was obvious that he didn't belong. His smell was awful, and he was having a hard time stomaching this mornings breakfast because of it. He had never smelled something so dreadful. "If your intent is to harm anyone. You should continue on your way." He said, standing a bit taller, puffing out his chest in a dominant way. He was far from a dominant lion, but this guy didn't know that. "Now now.. " Jakk said.."If I was going to be hurtin' anyone. I'd likely start with something smaller." He said, rolling his eyes. He had no desire to fight today.. and least of all with some pompous lion that felt he had some impressing to do among the two ladies.

“Captain Jakk you say?” Ohtli asked slowly. “Hey, Otea! You hear that….he’s a captain.” Ohtli had heard the term used loosely before. Usually captains meant leaders of some sort. The dark lioness wondered who he was captain of, but kept the quiet for now.
“I don’t care if he’s the king of this pride.” Otea muttered again. “The pleasure is all yours, I’m sure.” The lioness responded.
“…Sorry about her,” Ohtli apologized, and then frowned at Knox. “And for him too! Is no one nice anymore?” Whatever happened to the generosity that was offered to her when she first got here. Surely it hadn’t disappeared already?
Jakk’s last words caught Otea with a glare. Something smaller such as cubs? Her ears pinned back as she moved next to Knox. She was not enjoying this male’s company AT all.
“See guys, he means no harm!” the darker lioness stated. “It really is a pleasure to meet you Captain Jakk!”

Jakk took note that he was getting no where with the pale, pretty lioness. Though he hadn't exactly struck out with the her friend, another lovely lady that had stolen his affections for the moment.
"Aye, a Captain." He said, puffing his chest out proudly, looking at Ohtli, his eyebrows wagging. He felt he was big stuff. Mother had always told him such, and he was a good pirate. He did his best to keep his skills honed, and then.. he was just lucky.
"If ye'd allow it, you could maybe have some pleasure in meeting me, ye'self." He grinned, before laughing and clearing his throat, stepping closer to speak in the darker one's ear. He was all about no boundaries, and that included physical, personal bubbles.
"I be thinkin' we could have a bit of fun between the two of us. We don' have to be particularly nice either." He whispered lowly, his voice breathy against Ohtli's ear.
When he stepped closer to his pridemate, Knox growled, and thought for a moment about stepping in between them. But Ohtli didn't seem particularly frightened, or bothered by him. What exactly would he be protecting her from? He could at least keep the other lioness, Otea, comfortable. Even if the reason for that was merely because he was from the same pride as she.
"He is a ruffian!" He exclaimed, his eyes a bit wide once Ohtli's spoke again. He was a bit astounded that he had talked himself out of trouble.
"He is a stranger in our lands, flirting up our ladies. Does that not sound particularly suspicious?" Knox asked, his eyes still staring at Ohtli.
"And you cannot apologize for me." He grumbled. "I am not sorry."
Jakk grinned, nodding a little before feigning a serious face and looking back at Ohtli. "I'm sure he's right. I am particularly suspicious, I am sure."

Ohtli was clueless about boundaries. If Jakk was crossing them, she wasn’t phased.
“Fun between the two of us?” Ohtli wasn’t the brightest bulb in the box. Jakk likely could see that. “Oh, but I wouldn’t want these two party poopers to think you weren’t very nice though….” Her voice drifted off, her eyes scanning over to Otea and Knox.
Otea’s fur lifted on the back on her neck. “Back away from her, stranger.” If her friend wasn’t getting the message of what exactly Captain wanted, she sure was. And Knox was too.
“Suspcious…no?” Ohtli said innocently, before frowning. “And you should be sorry! Both of you!” Ohtli hissed quietly, her ears pinning back slightly.
She shook her head at Jakk though, “Oh noooo. You aren’t.” Yeah, he was.
If Otea could facepalm, she would. “Let’s go, Ohtli. We have…plans. Knox can join us too.” The plans involved getting everyone away from the rogue lion.
The pale female turned toward Jakk with her eyes narrowed. “Stay away from her,” she growled so quietly, in hopes on the male foreigner could hear her.

Jakk didn't see that Ohtli wasn't very bright. Mainly because while he was observant, in some ways he was completely daft himself. He grinned at her, and then his eyes went to the female who was growling at him. He arched an eyebrow.
"You are not a very good host at all, love. It's rather sad." He said, and took on a feigned pout.
Knox growled, and though he didn't see himself as a fighter, he was beginning to tire of the stranger himself. This conversation was going nowhere, and he wanted the brute away from the ladies of the pride.
"If I see you around here again." He started, and his eyes narrowed as his own hackles rose. "You won't have time to grin." And he looked at Otea before turning to follow her. He liked her.. But her friend seemed to lack a few screws if she didn't quite understand what Jakk was suggesting. But he was too much a gentleman to tell her.
"Ah no worries, dears. I should be going anyway. Lots of things to do and such." He looked at Ohtli and winked at her.
"But I shall be seeing you again, love."

Otea rolled her eyes at Jakk. She didn’t care if she was a very good host to this rogue. All she was doing was protecting her friend. Her very dense friend. It was obvious what this lion wanted, and Otea would be damned if she would let Ohtli be swayed so easily by him.
“Come on Ohtli, Knox.” She called around, sneering one last time at Jakk.
The dark pelted lioness giggled a bit at the rogue male, before nodding at Otea. “Maybe we can see each other again…tonight? I can show you?” she offered in a whisper, flicking her dark red eyes to Jakk before turning away from the male. She bounded past Knox, then up Otea.
“You guys didn’t have to be sooo mean to him,” she told the two lions in a whine, glancing back at the male once more.

Jakk was not really listening or looking at Otea at all anymore. His interest locked in on Ohtli. Though he couldn't deny he liked a challenge when it came to females.. He also liked things easier, and he didn't think the wooing of Otea would actually hold any real benefits.
"Aye, love. Tonight." He said with a bow of his head and then turned to find something to eat. He had some time to kill, and he didn't particularly want to run into the same group again.
Knox snorted once more at the male, snubbing him as if he were of a better class. He was surprised at himself, really. Normally he wasn't so stuck up. Something about that lion had just made him so irrationally angry.
But he was happy to be in good company, though his head.. was really starting to hurt..
