Hey, I've got side characters from Roch--his dad and granddad and Monica, they've got backstories and some abilities, and I'd like to keep playing them after he's graduated as side characters.

Do I have to make them citizens and retcon their abilities? (Basic healing, shadowstep, ICly Austin went to Amity--same as his brother who was in the Defenders plot. Vegas runs an underground casino, etc.) It's not like I plan on breeding them or even soloing them or keeping track of their points--they already HAVE kids (Roch & Terra). They just make for more entertaining solos for me. Retconning them is asking for like, two and a half years of solos (sometimes MASSIVE solos) to be rewritten.

If you wanted to make your quest character here as a civilian to play them before transferring them into Amityville, what age range should you be sure to keep them within? Would 18 be considered too old, in this case, for instance?

You only have to make them citizens if you want to play them as characters here. If you made them citizens, you don't have to retcon kids that have already been established via amityville rp, but you would need to refrain from RPing them with abilities and health higher than Y1 students students until you got their points up.

"Teenage-appearing" is the age range for Amityville ~

Okay, so basically I just don't have them using those abilities until I can earn them IC'ly--honestly, I don't plan on them fighting ICly, so what their stats are wouldn't make much of a difference. And I guess what school Austin went to over ten years ago seriously doesn't matter (knows what school she went to doesn't.)

Next question! Would I need to make a journal for each of them? And list what rps they've been in in this forum--even though it's probably Roch-centric? (Because Roch already has his points to graduate, p.much, and I'd bring them with him.)

Also, students can be rped here, right? Like they come after classes they come to a restaurant or go shopping. Or visiting family members?

Yep ~

For journals you can either make them individual ones or group them together ~ that's up to you!

Students can indeed be RP'd here, but do still keep all Amityville RP in Amityville ~ !

Kinda going off of Ice's questions.

If we don't really plan on playing a character regularly (IE use someone as more of a plot device) would citizenship be needed? Specifically I have some plans for Shun's father to show up a couple of more times but not for battle purposes or anything like that. Especially since he lives in a different city altogether.

In case the answer is yes, regarding the business thing. Would it be possible for the 'small starter business' thing be applied to like.. I guess the Family opening up a new thingy as a part of their more legitimate front? Since... I'm assuming as a whole they wouldn't really be considered a small business? More specific example might be bringing in a restaurant or something that may act as a meeting ground for more shady deals or something along those lines?

ALSO!
If an rp were to take place not on campus or in Halloweentown in general, (like if it were in a different city) which guild would be better to place it in? Or would it not matter?

If you only plan to use them as a goad/plot device for your own characters, then there's really no need, carry on as you have been. If you want them to have more of a presence/effect within Halloween, or be played outside of the minor device role, then you should make them a citizen.

That sort of business is a-ok!

The guild is called Halloween Town, but it can and should be used for the entire world outside Amityville. (You can still keep off-campus student-only RPs within the Amityville guild though ~ that's really a matter of personal preference!)

Dwelling questions! Going along with canon from my Roch rps, Austin bought a seriously old warehouse type building in the ghetto, it should have been condemned, it's got graffiti (compliments of Roch) on one wall, the floor of the second level pretty much gone, and a ton of bike parts littering the main ground.

It's a piece of crap, but it's bigger than small. But inside its got a cot, a fridge, and a sink in one corner where Austin sleeps. (He's looking into stoves... and insulation.) Is that out of price range for a citizen? (he's basically relying on Monica or fast food to eat OTL) Also, for a little while, can I have Roch ICly living with him until he finds a place of his own?

Second question: Vegas has a two story building--but his casino is in the bottom part with a small apartment above it where he lives with his pole dancer ghoulfriend, Monica. Would putting a home and a business together be allowed?

((And there IS the Scythe Family Mansion in a different town--but they couldn't afford the upkeep and are now renting the place out to ghosts with a flare for drama--last time they went they caved the roof in trying to break into their own place and get Tex's stuff out of the attic. /random information))

Big piece of crap houses are fine ~
Businesses with an attached home are fine ~
Homes belonging to the parents of students are fine as they are ~ nobody has to retcon the family home

Can we post a citizen for approval yet? Can we rp them in the Christmas event if we do (like quests?)

And I'll stop bugging you after this one! Until I come up with another question, that is<3
