Dakota couldn't believe his eyes and his ears and it didn't take long for him to gather the nesscary supplies for this most amazing visit that he had been planning for months.
Including apparently money depoisted into his accounts and from what he knew, it was saved up to be over 4000$ including some of the money from Marcus's Bachelor trip. Excited, he practically ran to the portal and slapped his hunter I.D. down.
"I need a portal for three...no s**t, FOUR people. New York city." He bundled his jacket close and grinned. "Christmas is coming early my friend."Lucyal Text to Molly: New york date at the portals babe? We're taking Otto and this kid Jeremy. Cause Jeremy seems cool. Drifter Jet Enduro Text to Otto: Come to the portals bro, Its time to get your ******** drum set before this s**t gets blow up again. No.. it had to be a dream. Nothing this magical and happy ever happened to Otto. But here he was, staring at a text that read what he'd been aching for for months and months.
The day had finally come.
Was it the leaked Joy in the air at Deus, or was Otto.. singing? Humming? If he was any more hyped he'd be skipping. But no, he was jogging and sometimes running to where he needed to be.
The blonde skidded to a stop near the portals, his hair was a mess sticking out of his hat, his wallet clutched in his hand so tight his knuckles turned white, his blue eyes wide and needy. "Can we go now?!?!!?!?"

Molly was ecstatic when she heard that the portals were back up. Just in time for the holidays! While she had been working on knitting things for those she cared about…going to the mall seemed like a more appealing option. Maybe now too Jeremy could get some clothes as well— Then she got a text. Dakota! Molly beamed widely, staring at her phone. Her excitement was squared in power when he mentioned Otto and Jeremy as well. She texted him back quickly. Quote: Text to Dakota: Be right there! I’ll make sure Jeremy makes it as well! He’s like right across the hall from me! <3 Molly's brows furrowed then. She remembered Candace saying something about really wanting to go off island too as soon as they were able...Did she know? Maybe she should text her, just to make sure! Hopefully Dakota wouldn't mind? Maybe she should ask first? Maybe she could beg for forgiveness as soon as she saw the tall teen. Molly texted her dark chocolate lesbian lover Miss Candace. Quote: Text to Candace: Hi Miss Candace! Wasn't sure if you knew, but the portals are back up and we can leave! Dakota invited Otto, Jeremy, and I to go shopping in New York City, and we're meeting up at the portals right now! I'm sure it'd be alright if you came too, but I'll ask and double check with Dakota too! That being said, Molly checked to make sure she had her wallet and Deus account card for shopping, and slipped into some black leggings, her knee high boots, and a thick long sleeved green sweater dress along with her scarf. She then would appear at the portals with the Sun Hunter Jeremy in tow, holding onto his hand and swinging their arms like a toddler, chattering his ear off about how he could get some clothes now. Upon seeing Dakota as well, she beamed brightly and waved energetically at him. “Hi Shawty! Thank you so much for inviting me! I’m really excited, and don’t worry! I made sure Jeremy made it!” She then beamed at the Sun Hunter at her side. “Hi Otto! Are you wearing the shoes I got for you?” She looked down at his feet.

Jeremy didn't hear his phone go off for the text. Lately he had a rinse-and-repeat cycle that involved staying up for ridiculously long amounts of time under the assumption that he slept for a year, why would he need sleep now? And then promptly passing out where he fell, something he didn't realize was really his body going THIS IS WHY, DINGBAT! So it was a good thing that Molly decided to take his appearance at this trip into her own hands. She was the one who woke him up enough to check his phone, and waited fairly patiently as he...well, rolled out of bed, ran a hand through his dandelion of a mane, and then wandered off with her.
The sun trainee was listening with a great deal of interest to Molly's story, her hand in his and their arms swinging carelessly. As they arrived he found himself absolutely delighted that he knew the other two joining them. Well, sort of knew them. Regardless he gave an excited noise and pointed at the other two men as if to say OMIGOSHIKNOWTHEM. Luckily he seemed to compose himself again and waved, grinning like a careless cheshire.
"Fushion buddy! ...And that kid who beat me up!" What was his name again? Oh well, it didn't seem important! He was just happy to see them, and probably a little more happy to go on a shopping trip. It didn't take a genius to realize he needed new clothes; the ones he wore were looking a little threadbare, not to mention still kind of muddy from his rain dancing with Molly.
It really was a shopping trip for the needy.

Her first day back on the island and already she felt caged. Off the island please. Off. Off. Off. Off. Off. She was in her room debating whether getting out of bed was worth it yet or not when her phone went off, checking the text from Molly with a yawn. Aww, her Molly~. What did she--
Oh. My. God.
Molly had her at 'the portals are back up'. She didn't even read the rest of the text, she was already hurriedly getting ready to go out and have some fun. ******** finally. She had only a vague idea of what had happened on the island, having been sent to an outpost to help with a horseman threat there. ******** horsemen.
She wasted no time in getting to the portal room, spotting Molly first and immediately pouncing her in a tight hug from behind. "Moooollyyyyyyyy~! Hey there, pretty lady!" She moved around to give her a kiss against her cheek, grinning from ear to ear.
Then she noticed everyone else around them.
She blinked. "Oh! Hey! I didn't realize you guys would be here, too~." She blew a kiss at Dakota and waved to Otto. "Ah.." She stopped when she laid eyes on Jeremy beside Molly. Vaguely...familiar..
....He was..an older trainee, right? She could swear she'd seen him. She just couldn't remember him too well.
Oops.
"Hey! I'm Candace, I..think we've met it's just been so long~." She waved to Jeremy, the unfamiliar blonde in the group. She paused again when she realized why he was so close to Molly. Her eyes drifted down to Molly's hand in his and she arched a brow, moving so her chin was put on Molly's shoulder. It was strange the pang of jealousy she felt in her chest when she saw that. Her Molly was sweet, it probably meant nothing, she was nice to literally everyone.
It was nothing. Molly was just a nice girl.

Dakota pointed his finger at Jeremy. No words need to be spoken as Dakota prepared the fusion dance, greeting his Sun half before pulling back and looking at Otto. With a noogie to the hat covered boy, he nodded.
"Soon my young one, we will be on our way to the wintry lands of New york for your drumset and other things." At the arrival of Molly, he gave her a eye brow waggle and noisely gave her a kiss. Not like the serious kind, but just because he liked to see her reaction.
"I talk to the portal crew, since Jeremy and I are still on probation, we're going to have to wear these things." He snapped another bracelet on the sun hunter before snapping one on himself. A matching one was snapped on Otto's arm and oddly enough...
"Candace!??" Dakota stared blankly at the mist before smiling broadly, "Starbucks, It's been a cool winter without my tall cup of Mocha!" He came to stand in front of her, full hunter glory as he looked down. "Man are we lucky that you came. since your here...." He gently took her wrist and snapped his matching bracelet on her.
"Stipulations for going to New york. The bracelets that me and my fellow hunters are wearing are beacons. If we move ten feet or 3 meters from our hunter, it sends off a loud shrill and beeping sound." Dakota sighed. "it was the only way I could get all of us out to do this and still get New york. We only get to be there for 12 hours as well so...we gotta take advantage while we can."
"So Otto, Jeremy. You're a team. Candace, and Me will be the other team and Molly is here to make sure you whippersnapers stay in line." He peered at the two younger hunters."
"SO...." Dakota stepped up to the portal, "Who's ready to go to New York and shop?"

"Yeah." Otto replied, lazily looking away from Molly and Jeremy. He was indeed wearing the shoes Molly got him but... well, he was jus no good at tying laces, or he just didn't try. They were a mess like his hair and clothes.
Jeremy's comment earned a sharp look from Otto. And then a brief but knowing smirk. Yes. He wiped the floor with you, Jeremy.
And then Candace. Well.. at least the group was all people he like----
. . .
Bracelet... beeping...
. . .
Just think of the drums.
Otto was now glaring at you, Dakota. You too Jeremy. Glares for everyone!

Molly was all kinds of excited. She squeaked in surprise when Candace popped up behind her, hugging her tight. Since one hand was preoccupied, she patted the older woman’s head affectionately with one hand, giggling. “Hi Miss Candace! I’m so happy to see you and I’m glad you came!” She them beamed at Dakota as he came closer and was about to say something…until he kissed her.
Of course, she immediately went red, and squeaked. “Uh…uh….” She was lost for a good long moment, her mind temporarily off line from embarrassment, and she totally missed everyone in her group getting hit with bracelets except for her. When she snapped too, she suddenly remembered that she had also wanted to fix Otto..and apparently...Molly gasped, and looked at Otto horrified. "Otto! You beat Jeremy up!?" She cried. She let go of Jeremy’s hand and bee lined for the Death teen because regardless, she was on a mission. First, she knelt in front of him, and without even asking, fixed his shoe laces. She tied them securely into a knot and then stood, where she then straightened out his clothes and checked to make sure his pants and boxers were pulled up. She finished her ‘mom-ing’ by taking off his hat, licking her hand, and smoothing down his wild hair. She then neatly placed the hat back on his head and beamed.
The Mist trainee resumed her spot at Jeremy’s side, and out of habit, she reached out for his hand again, and smiled back over at Dakota. “Oh, yes! I’m really excited. There’s a lot of things I want to get, and Jeremy needs clothes…oh, and I think Otto could use another pair of sneakers…” She trailed off thoughtfully.

Jeremy performed the fusion dance with Dakota, but only one handed; his other hand was busy holding onto Molly's, and for whatever reason he had no interest in letting go. Perhaps he even forgot she was holding his hand and just assumed one entire limb stopped working. Who knew at this point, he certainly didn't.
Candace and Dakota both kissed Molly, and the Sun trainee found himself staring at her profile, somewhat surprised. Was it a kissing party? Was it a thing now, to kiss someone like Molly? He considered his options for a minute, thinking really hard on the subject, and in the end decided to jump on the bandwagon. At least he tried to, but at that moment the pretty girl let go of his hand and wandered off to fuss over Otto. Oh, well, okay. Maybe next time! Luckily for him he didn't have much of a capacity for being upset and just continued smiling away.
"...Candace. Yeah, I remember you! I think we joined together or something? I don't know, my brainmeat's all like, fuzzy and stuff. I think I'm getting brain mold. I'm Jeremy though!" He extended his hand for hers, at least amicable enough to give it a good hearty shake if she humored him.
Otto received a decidedly curious stare when they were acknowledged as a team. Well, that'd be fun! What was that about distances? Honestly, he hadn't been listening. Oh well, it probably wasn't important anyway. Molly was returning to him and that was interesting to him, his hand grasping hers when she sought him out; it was habit by now, and the teen really didn't think much about it, really.
"YEAH I...really seriously need clothes. These are all I have...I think I'm starting to smell." As he spoke he picked at his dirty old sweater. He was nearly whining near the end, but it wasn't an upset sort of whine, it was more like a mild inconvenience whine. People didn't like to hang out with someone to smelled funny, and Jeremy wasn't keen on standing around naked while he did laundry. Ergo, no laundry had been done since his treck into the muddy rain. "I'M READY I'M READY LET'S GOOOOOO~" His free hand shot up, pointing ahead like they were embarking on an epic quest.

"OH! Jeremy! Yeah, I remember you now." Her smile grew warmer as she reached out and took his hand, giving it a shake and letting it go. It was shortly after that she heard her name called, looking up and giving Dakota a grin and a playful little salute. "Yo. I'm okay with skipping out on the cold. If you needed me to warm you up why didn't you ask~?" She winked, holding her arms out for a hug from her second favorite moon. What did she get instead?
A bracelet cuffed onto her wrist.
The reaction was immediate. Candace's heart felt ready to burst from her chest, and much like a cat with a too-tight collar she tried to pry the bracelet off her wrist. But it wouldn't come off. Why? Why!? Why was she being cuffed!? What had she done?! She was still in panic mode when Dakota's words reached her ears, her heart sinking into her stomach as he explained what kind of bracelet this was. "Wh..what...why would...why do you need.." She looked to Jeremy and found he also had a bracelet, much like Otto. Molly didn't have one..why? Was this a new policy she was unaware of? What the hell had she missed? "I don't..." Otto was grumpy as usual, Molly seemed okay with it, and Jeremy well..
...Jeremy seemed a little special.
"O..kay..." She looked down at the bracelet again. She was still so confused. "Why do we need these?" Candace perked up again when Jeremy said he was starting to smell, frowning and looking to Molly.
"I'm ready..just...don't do that to me." Dakota received a slap on the arm for surprising her with an unexplained cuff. The only cuffs she knew were for punishment, and the golem cuffs but she would've been told if they were doing more weapon golem testing, right? "You owe me." Candace pouted, linking arms with Dakota. Might as well stay close to him. "If we only have twelve hours let's not waste time~. I have Christmas presents I need to buy."

Dakota saw that hug attempt from a mile Candace, but he wanted to make sure before they were shoved through the portal like cattle, everyone was good to go.
"Paperwork is filled out, time to go." He pushed all the other hunters into the portal and...dropped off right in the middle of times square.
"Holy s**t." With Candace's arm linked in his, he looked around the bright lights, the share of tall buildings and screen that played news and commercials.
He leaned down to Candace and gave her a sorry look, offering only what he could as far as..."I'm really sorry Candace, you know I wouldn't so something like that to you." He waited before explaining clearer. "I did something bad while you we're away so I'm on probation....Jeremy didn't do something wrong but took a punishment for another hunter who did...." Dakota gave her a sad smile.
"I guess that mean's I'll get you a really big Christmas gift?" Dakota tried to lighten her upsetness by leaning in close and nuzzling her cheek. "So Clothes for the kids, Drums for the runt, What about you ladies?" Dakota looked over at Molly and Candace. "Do you guys want to hit the mall? I know there is bound to be a drumset around for you Otto, Soon as you see it will-" And then he saw the giant perfect thing to carry all their presents and gift in.
"Guys...Wagon." He pointed at the large thing. "We need it."
AMONG ALL THE OTHER THINGS DAKOTA NEEDED.

Deus Mom was at it again.
Otto didn't fuss as much this time, getting a bit used to Molly fussing with his attire. He did, however, glare at her. Like a cat being put into a cheesy sweater.
Speaking of sweaters, Otto probably should have brought one. He was so used to the island being warm, and so unused to travelling elsewhere, that he never thought to bring one with him on their leave that day. December? What did months matter anymore, right? What was Winter again?
"What the ******** is that?"

Molly was in full mother mode. Her ‘Miss Candace is distressed’ senses were tingling, and she looked over at the tall Moon Hunter. “Dakotaaaa!” She wailed, looking very dismayed, and she rested her hands on her hips…even the one still attached to Jeremy’s. “You need to give a notice before you do stuff like that!” She then reached out to pet Candace’s head soothingly. “It’s okay Miss Candace. It is just for this trip…I think. I mean…we all get along really well too, so I think we’ll be fine sticking together!” She was also unaffected by the cat in the cheesy sweater glare, and just smiled at Otto. She was then shoved through a portal. Upon arriving in Times Square, Molly’s eyes went wide and lit up in excitement. “Ooooh!” She cried, elated, squeezing Jeremy’s hand. “It’s so beautiful!” She exclaimed. “Look at all the decorations!” She looked around in awe, and then once again, mom-instincts. “Ottooooo!” She wailed. “Didn’t you read Shawty’s text? He said we’re going to New York…” She sighed a bit, looking dismayed once more, and then let go of Jeremy’s hand…and pulled off her long sleeved green sweater top. Sorry Dakota…Molly liked her layers. She was wearing another long sleeved green shirt underneath. “Arms up, please!” Molly told Otto, but didn’t wait for him either, and she pulled her sweater onto the Death teen. It uh…kind of hung off of him…but still, it was better than nothing. Molly beamed again, and resumed holding Jeremy’s hand. When asked about what she wanted to get, Molly thought about it. "I wouldn't mind picking up some more clothes for me...and I also want to get an iPod and some Ellie Goulding Albums...and uh...I need to do some shopping for others and..." She trailed off for a moment and then looked over at Candace. "Miss Candace...I need to go shoe shopping too...would you please come with me?" She then looked over at Dakota “…Uh…” She looked at the wagon. “…You think that would be alright to bring back through the portal?”

Jeremy's gold eyes followed Candace's gaze to his wrist, twisting it a bit to look at the bracelet himself. Luckily for him Dakota explained the issue briely, because he really only had one thing to say about it. "Yeah I...volunteered as tribute." He chuckled, clearly not as upset about being on probation as he probably should have been.
They were through the portal and that was when Jeremy officially checked out. Sensory overload in the best way possible. He stopped listening to his companions, he stopped paying attention to whose hand he was holding and if in fact he was even holding one; the perfect image of a kid in a candy store, only the kid was in his late teens and was part of a secret order of monster hunters.
He checked back in, and just in time for the GIANT RED WAGON to be brought to his attention. "--TWO OF THEM." He seconded Dakota, and then made it better. Forget clothes. He wanted one of those wagons. He didn't need clothes, right? Right.
"Where do we even start? I mean aside from getting two of those wagons. Hey can we do that carriage ride around Central Park? I've always wanted to do that too. But I think I need clothes first." Or he'll smell as bad at the horses he figured. The longer he talked the more distracted he sounded, his eyes glazing over; he was about to check out again, lost to the overwhelming scenery.

He volunteered as tribute..okay Katniss. That was Jeremy's name now. Katniss.
Candace stumbled through the portal with a sound of protest simply because she wanted more answers, though she shut right up when she was on the other side. Times Square? Wow she...she hadn't been here since that first and last time with her parents. Purple eyes widened and stared all around in quiet awe at the sights around them, almost not even noticing Dakota come back to her and take her arm. It was beautiful. His and Molly's voices finally brought her back to reality, looking first to Molly with an innocent, angelic smile as her hair was pet. Yes, yes. She's a good girl and Dakota is bad, very bad. Candace leaned in to give her a small kiss. "Thank you, sweetheart. You're the best~." She was happy watching Molly gush over the area, chuckling and tilting her head to one side. "Never been here, Molly?"
But you have?
Yeah, a long time ago. I don't remember all of it too well...some of it's a little fuzzy.
She looked up at Dakota again as he started to explain why she was being cuffed. Ah, that's what he meant by volunteering. "Somehow I find you doing 'something bad' to be questionable, but fine..I want a thorough explanation later though, okay?" She was not taking no for an answer. "Katniss over there probably didn't know what he was volunteering for either if what I'm observing so far is any indication.." Candace added quietly for Dakota's ears only. The nuzzling made her giggle, catching his lips for a light kiss. "I like gifts. I'm not sure what I want. H asked me the same thing last year and I kind of...didn't..actually want anything more than what I already had, y'know? Very unlike me~. We'll see if anything I see today gives me an idea." Candace smiled, turning to Otto when she heard more fussing from Molly.
Oh my god!
Were it not for Dakota Candace would have doubled over with laughter. "Lo-lookin' good, Otto! Oh god, Molly don't get sick okay, sweetie?" She was still grinning as Molly requested shoe shopping. Ohhhh! Yes, please. Her eyes practically lit with joy. "I'd love to!" Why the emphasis? How strange.
She then took one look at the wagon Dakota was saying they needed.
Candace blinked, stared, and then turned to Dakota. "No--damnit." Katniss was all for it. Of course he was. Poor Otto was going to have a time playing babysitter.
