Well the last week happened to suck.
Bazzite couldn't find it in him to patrol with his usual vim and vigor. He'd lost his edge, his mojo, so to speak. Instead he wandered from place to place in a daze, dragging his feet behind him like a lost and lonely child on his way home from school. Great sighs were frequent and before he really knew what he was doing, the captain found himself back at the park. In a fit of weakness, he flopped onto the ground and rolled over, seeking solace.
He frowned up at the stars. None a' you told me about the whole starseed thing..., he thought, eyes narrowing. It's like... like their souls or somethin' cuz... cuz when I started to pull the seed outta that girl's chest she just... she started to die...
...and it wasn't right, you know?
Bazzite sighed again. What he wouldn't give for a hug.

There would be absolutely no avoiding the park. Ever. She would go back to it any and every time possible. And tonight would be no exception. Aurora bounded from tree branch to tree branch, trying her hand at keeping her balance while trying to figure out which tree branches worked best under her weight. One of these leaps the branch she'd land on would crack and break and she'd fall on her butt, but so far things were looking up! Maybe magical girls never had to worry about that stuff. Another leap and bound, and she felt that telltale Chaos signature ahead of her. It was on the same level. Which... could mean anything, really. Since powering up people felt.. different. Weaker or only slightly stronger or on the same level as her. It was weird. Feeling an aura didn't make her stop. She didn't want to stop. It felt good to just jump around like this. But when she got closer and saw who the aura belonged to? Well. That made all the difference. She leapt from the branch and hopped quickly over. Quick like a ninja, or as fast she could make it. "Bazzi!" And there she was. She stood at his head, trying to catch her breath as she loomed over him. In his way of the stars. "Uhm, what's wrong?"

Aurora's pink visage burst into his vision like a bouquet of flowers and Bazzite blinked out of his stupor for a moment. Then he realized that she too was a senshi and he was plunged right back in it. "Hi 'Rora..." he wheezed, a sad little frown settling on his features. "...I found out a bad thing, 'Rora. Real bad. Super bad." With a sigh, the captain rolled over and flopped on his belly like a dog who had disappointed his master. He huffed, sending his snow blue hair furling. "Beni an' the other officers said starseeds are real important so we should grab 'em whenever we can. So I found a senshi and jumped her and tried grabbin' the seed but..." The captain rolled to face Aurora, someone he considered a friend. "'Rora, she like... got all ashy... an' looked like she was dyin'. So I kinda... freaked out and she beat the tar outta me..." He mumbled the last bit but it wasn't due to embarrassment. He just didn't want Aurora to be ashamed of him for trying to take a senshi starseed. Even if the White Moon and Dark Mirror were completely opposite, they were both still senshi.

Aurora knelt beside Bazzite as he spoke. It'd be no good to just loom over him like the big pink doom machine. Her dear friend sounded upset and she needed to be more on the same eye level as him, ready to give him a hug or squeeze his hand as needed. Once he was finished, something dark flitted over Aurora's face. An angry frown that lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to show she was upset. Perhaps even scarily so. "She hurt you?" That was the first thing that popped into her mind. Not the starseeds, not the fact that they were linked to their souls. But just that her dear friend Bazzite was hurt. But then the realization came that this was about something more. Something that she didn't know. Negaverse agents.. took starseeds? She'd guessed from her conversation with Zia that a starseed was linked to the soul somehow, and now Bazzite only confirmed it. The thought that the Negaverse took souls was.. terrifying. And Bazzite was terrified along with her. Poor Bazzi was upset and she needed to comfort him. She sighed and wrapped her arms around his shoulders in a hug, rested her chin on his head.

Bazzite nodded numbly and gladly accepted Aurora's warm embrace. He felt terrible. He didn't want to think about how he'd nearly killed Pandora. They'd stopped to help him after he'd finally regained consciousness. The captain sighed and laid there for a few moments trying to lose himself in the pink and the lace of Aurora. "Yeah but... I mean, I don't blame her..." he explained, closing his eyes. "...I mean I... I didn't know but I kinda just assumed. I thought that since like... several other officers had these seeds that... the senshi would like, sleep it off and they'd grow another one, good as new and all that." The captain sniffed. He'd seen corrupted senshi with their starseeds floating in their chest but... Bazzite simply never put two and two together. In his haste to make his General proud, he'd nearly killed someone. But he could benefit the Negaverse without killing, couldn't he? "...'rora, do you have a starseed too?"

"Other officers have them too...?" Again this was all news to her. Never had she dreamed that it was even a possibility, that they .. her friends.. her boyfriend.. would rip out the thing that constituted as a soul. It made her shiver just thinking about it. Had Maripo or Beni done that at all? And if not, were they actually expected to? "Uhm.. yeah. I do. It's kinda different than the White Moon senshi seeds though." Actually she hadn't thought about that either. At least, not since that lady had that little talk with her. Who WAS that lady anyway? How did she know so much? Aurora's hug tightened on her friend as all of these things came crashing down on her mind.

Aurora had a starseed too? Bazzite shuddered, frowning into her hair. He felt her grip tighten and the Captain sighed, nodding inwardly. "'Rora?" he asked, hesitating. He didn't know how this would affect his position in the Negaverse, but that at that time, he didn't really care. "I... I don't want to take anyone's starseed. Not ever." started the boy, nuzzling himself into Aurora's long pink hair. "So I won't. I promise I won't. I... don't wanna do that to somebody. I don't know why other officers have starseeds and I'm not sure I wanna know. I just know I don't want one." Bazzite finished with a sigh and closed his eyes.

Lucifer Force Annnd... Bazzi's a youma now. Noice! I hope that you'd like to continue this RP, even if it's old. xD It's one of Aurora's biiiiig revelations. "Yeah? You promise? Cuz like, that would.. losing my soul... anyone losing their soul.. would really...." Aurora paused, searching for the word that would best describe how she felt. "Uh, suck. For lack of a better word, y'know?" Another pause followed, pregnant as all she learned just stirred in her heart and soul, before she just let out a tiny whimper and hugged him again. "What if they hurt you if you didn't take 'em though? Whatever you do, promise me you'll be super duper careful, okay? Please?"

Ryndilee In honor of fulfilling 'Rora's requirements, the show will go on! Bazzite shrugged, swallowing the lump in his throat. "I... I dunno if they'd do somethin' to me. I mean, I've seen other officers that don't have starseeds with 'em but I dunno if that means they've got the seed hidden or they used it or... I just dunno..." Thinking about it too hard made his head hurt and the Captain frowned again. If he thought about it at length, he'd get depressed. And Bazzite didn't do depression. "I'll be super duper careful, 'Rora. I promise. I'll make you proud'a me." vowed the boy, pulling back from his pink haired companion with a soft smile. "I know we can do great things, I just don't think we need to take starseeds to do it, you know? We can still win without messin' with people's souls..."

"Ahahaha. I'm sure," she answered. Like her friend, she didn't really do depression either. But lately it'd just been a constant. This never-ending whirl of confusion and woe and all those other bad things that she didn't want to think about. Uggggh this was all way too overcomplicated. Why did things have to be so complicated all the time? She scooched back a bit so that she could hop to her feet. If she wanted to cheer Bazzite up, she HAD to be cheerful and enthusiastic and all that herself! The senshi of romance took a break and beamed down at him, grinning with ear to ear. "You know what, I'm already proud of you! And I'm sure we'll find a way to win without doing all that starseed junk! You know why? Cuz you're mofo BAZZI, and you're the best ninja I know!" OPTIMISM BEAAAAAAM. "You just be careful and do what you gotta do! No sweat! And if you fail, don't sweat either! No sweating allowed!.. or something."

Bazzite sniffed and rubbed his face with the back of his sleeve, standing up with Aurora. He tried to smile as best he could through the sadness. "Mofo? Haha, I dunno about that, 'Rora. Most'a the Negaverse thinks I'm a dumbass but... if you think I'm the best ninja then... then I'll keep trying my hardest! I don't wanna let you down!" YEAH. NINJA POSE! The little ninja blinked mid-ridiculous-pose (that he probably learned from Street Fighter or something silly) when sweating was suddenly forbidden. Now that posed a problem - usually mofos and ninjas sweat equally, so what happened if he was both a mofo and a ninja? Would that equal double the sweat?! What kind of antiperspirant would prevent double sweat? What antiperspirant did Bruce Lee use?! Bazzite probably looked like he was having a meltdown trying to figure this Extremely Important Thing out. "I... I... I dunno if I can do that, 'Rora! I already use Degree and I still sweat a little bit so what happens if I sweat now WILL I BLOW UP?!" Meltdown commencing.

"Hmmm." Aurora had to think about that. And she had to think hard. Her fingers stroked her chin as she thought. And hey, we don't really see those fingers and hands too often in the romance senshi's sleeves of void. "WELL OKAY. If you gotta sweat a little, then that's fine. But no, no, I meant.. uhm.. Ahaha.. If you, like, I dunno." She paused, thinking it over again. Why did putting sentences together have to be so hard sometimes? "If you can, just don't worry about it so much! Things work out in the end! "By the way," she added, her face turning into a little scowl, "you're not a dumbass. Not by a longshot. You're one of the best people I know!" The girl crossed her arms. "So don't you forget that. Everrrrrrr."

Bazzite managed to cease the Total Meltdown Countdown thanks to Aurora's intervention. He was mere seconds away from collapsing into a snow blue pile of nervous goo. Shuttering, he rubbed the back of his head and bowed slightly to his pink-haired friend. "Hey, thanks 'Rora. I appreciate it. I don't get too many compliments cuz most people think I'm just some big dork but... thanks. For believin' in me." The Captain chuckled nervously, a fresh and healthy blush creeping across the bridge of his nose. "Umm.. um... Do you uh... need a lift home? I can teleport now, 'Rora! I can take you uh... well... anywhere I've already been, really!" Bazzite looked down at his feet and kicked at the dirt. "...I guess that wasn't as useful as I was thinkin' it sounded! In my head, anyway..."

"Ahahaha, actually, if you want you can come over to my place! We could watch movies or play video games and THEN the next time you need to teleport me home or want to come over, WHAM!! ninja alert." The senshi of romance nodded. "Yep, that sounds like the best idea ever. There is also ice cream in the freezer that we must partake of. I hear that when girls get dumped by their boyfriends or when they do stupid things, movies and tubs of ice cream are the best. Uh, not that you got dumped by your boyfriend or whatever, but I'm sure it's good medicine. "I insist."
