Weekend night. Allie was probably out by now, and if she wasn't she could fend for herself. He'd left cash for a pizza and a movie on the kitchen table and left her a note telling her she was his favorite pink princess. Because it was true. If he had the chance to get to know her senshi quasi-cousin Serenade better, though, she'd probably make a close second. Adorableness ran in the family -- the non-adoptive part of the family, that was.

There was no special reason why Perry was out this evening. The simple fact of that matter was that, sometimes a man needed a drink. And this was one of those nights. He figured it wouldn't make for a particularly interesting story. Others might argue otherwise.

He nursed a Boulevard in his hand (domestic was s**t), while easing his way into a conversation being mostly dominated by a well-to-do looking redhead: "Yeah, I'm -- s**t, I think I'm a Libra? But I dunno, I don't really buy into the whole zodiac stuff. S'fun to think about, at least."

Well to do, Seraphina definitely looked the part. Despite only going out for a drink, something she hadn't had time for lately with the Christmas holidays galloping full speed toward her, she still dressed to impress. She wore knee high boots with leggings and a belted tunic shirt that hung of her shoulders, hair hanging a bout her face in slightly teases waves. Lately she spent most of her time at work, shopping, or seeing what Noah was up to but tonight she was out alone and happily chatting at the bar.

"Not really into the zodiac, huh? Well, I can understand that, not many people put stake in it anymore, but it fun. I mean horoscopes don't usually come true, but it is amusing when they do. I like it and knowing my lucky number for the day is a bit of a weakness." She laughed lightly, a flirty laugh, but she really couldn't help it. That was just how she was.

She took a sip of her mai tai and looked over to Perry, "what are you into then?"

Bellatrix Spendel wasn’t one to eavesdrop, and hell, she wasn’t good at it either…in fact, she was often one of those people who would just stare at the people she was trying to eavesdrop on when she was younger…and it seemed as if that was the way she acted when she was…well…rather intoxicated as well.

It had started out with a nice trip to the bar and a nice Tequila Sunrise…well, as the saying goes…One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, floor…alas, the floor had not yet happened…but what had happened was a very drunk woman who was dead set on watching the two conversing.

She hadn’t meant to get involved, she hadn’t meant to do anything really, hadn’t meant to come out drinking either! But when that poor redheaded woman started to get all flirty with that sucmbag of a man…well.

No. She couldn’t stand for this!

The woman stumbled off of her barstool and walked the few paces over to the other two. “D’you wanna know what he’s inta’?” She said, trying to focus her gaze on the male and glare at him. Right now it wasn’t working so well. “He’s a no goofool. And…” Bellatrix paused, swaying just the slightest bit. “And Sex. Always sex.”

The woman took a seat then, still staring intently at Perry.

It was always sex, after all. That was a man’s answer to everything.

"Hey, not gonna judge ya there," he remarked, getting a swig in as his conversational companion for the evening explained herself. As per the usual, he was not dressed to impress himself. Unless plaid and jeans and a jacket for the cold were impressive. Took all sorts to fill up a place like this -- it was rather nondenominational, so to speak. "I'm into, uh. You mean like, mystical stuff or just normal stuff? Because I--"

Then he was interrupted quite rudely, by a strange woman who was already quite drunk.

Perry's expression adopted a small, puzzled frown. Well. In all honesty, he would be lying if he said he had never been given this accusation by a woman before. The issue here was that the one addressing him now was a total stranger, and thus her outburst had arrived completely unprovoked.

"Lady, I'm pretty sure you got me confused for someone else," he said candidly, reaching out for another barstool and pulling it over to her. "And I also think it would be a good idea for you to sit down. Now, as I was sayin'..." and he turned his attention to Seraphina once more, "I got my things I believe in. But more importantly, I'm a camping and fishing kinda guy."

Phina was about to answer with a simple normal, not at all wanting to really hear about anything mystical. Destiny City was mystical enough on it own without talking about mystical stuff that could possible be real in some shape or form. She'd been attacked twice now and debriefed on the city's nightlife, so normal, she like to stick with the normal.

She raised an eyebrow at the very drunken woman that interrupted the conversation and it took quite a bit for her not to start laughing, because really the intrusion was rather funny, even more so when it seemed the guy didn't even know the woman.

Phina wore an amused smirk as Perry continued on answering her previous question. She smiled and shook her head lightly at the woman, "I've never been much for fishing. Not so keen on impaling worms or fish with hook, but I like to camp. Its fun to just get away from time to time. Still movie going and traveling is more my thing."

She looked over to the drunken woman, "what about you then? What sort of things do you like to do?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2012 8:22 pm

Bellatrix opened her mouth to give a snappy drunken retort to Perry as he called her lady and seemed…well, rather brisk with her! She did not deserve briskness. Not at all. But…then he started talking about fishing and camping, and the redhead talked about killing worms with hooks…and well…

Drunken minds didn’t take things that were this mundane well at all.
When she was addressed however, the woman did her best to sit up a little straighter, and put her chin in her hand, fully intending to rest her elbow on the bar…but missing by a good few inches, nearly falling off the stool as her arm slipped down.

“Whoops!” She let out a half giggle and twisted around, looking back to Seraphina and nodding. “Ya’see…I like m’ job…and m’daugher…but I donlike guys who tink they can jus’ take me to court for cus…custo…”

A very confused look came over Bellatrix’s face as she struggled to put the two parts of the word together, and she finally shook her head. “p***s’s are th’devil…thas all…”

She rested her head on the bar, thankfully not missing completely this time and gave a mournful sigh, before sitting bolt upright once more, this time really falling off the stool, landing spectacularly on the floor. So the saying was true after all…pity the numbers were a little off…it had taken her at least six or seven shots to get her to the floor.

“Also I like rocks. Clim…bing them. Isn’t climb a funny word? I think it’s th’ best.”

If Perry could hear Seraphina's thoughts about mystical things and not wanting to talk about them, he would be agreeing wholeheartedly. For him, it was a topic he had a chronically difficult time escaping. His daughter was a senshi. It was dinner table talk. And really, one of the reasons he'd decided to spend an evening out for himself was to see if he could track down a normal conversation.

"Heyy, amen to that," he was saying with a grin. "Travel's my lifeblood, you wouldn't even know..."

Phina seemed like a cool customer, something Perry could appreciate. She didn't falter a bit when their new acquaintance all but fell into the conversation. When she ended up literally falling, however, it was a bit of a shock. This chick must either have already been here for quite awhile, or had arrived quite determined to drink her troubles away. It didn't seem to be working well.

In spite of being accused of harboring crotch demons, Perry leaned down and offered a hand. "Okay, maybe you need a... better chair. You said you have a daughter?"

It was an olive branch.

One that could backfire terribly.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2012 9:03 pm

"Yes, it is quite a rush to visit some place new ...," she said before the drunken woman started giving her drunken response.

Phina found herself trying harder and harder to contain her growing amusement. She hadn't expected to have a conversation that was interjected by drunkenness, but it was currently happening and she really wanted to laugh. Thank heavens, she was on her first drink and therefore still found it inappropriate to do so.

She frowned slightly hearing the custody thing and shook her head slightly. She definitely wasn't drunk enough for that conversation. She couldn't help the snicker that escaped at the p***s comment, she definitely had to beg to differ, but she wasn't about to go announcing that at the current moment.

When Bella fell off the stool she was on her feet to help her up, but let Perry instead and going to swap out chairs. She let out a small groan at the question at Perry asked and tried to circumvent it with, "or how about your job? What do you do? You said you like it."

Phina didn't really feel the rode of a drunken custody battle rant, though it was entirely possible the woman would go the route of motherly babble.

Bellatrix spent a good few moments on the floor, blinking up at Perry before taking his hand and letting him help her onto the chair that Phina was nice enough to bring for her. She slumped against the bar once more and just sighed.

She let both of the questions just sort of bounce off of her for a moment before finally turning to look at the two again. “I have a job and a daughter…I said that I though.” The woman hesitated, then looked at Perry and Phina, giving them slightly crosseyed glares.

“Are you two tryin’ to trick me inta buying somethin’? ‘Cause ‘m not interested…so leave me alone.”

This was some sort of trick! These two were sent her by her stupid a*****e of an ex’s lawyers, that was it. Yeah. Yeah!

“Leave me alone.” She repeated again, sliding off the seat and managing to take a few steps before walking into a table and landing on the floor once more. She stared at the slightly…disgusting surface for a long moment before looking back up at the other two still on chairs. “….’m really drunk…”

Crisis averted. They had successfully been able to avoid weathering one hell of a conversational storm. Or, at least, the woman had been calmed down from outright spewing nonsense -- and so far there were no signs that she was going to start spewing anything else anytime soon. Now she was simply... muttering nonsense. And falling on the floor again.

If it wasn't one thing, it was another. There went a relaxing evening. Perry supposed he could just leave the lady to wallow in whatever misery she was in, but then he'd end up unable to avoid wondering whatever happened to her afterward. Or even if she got home safe, for chrissakes.

He shook his head, and with his free hand, rubbed at his face. "Yeah, I noticed." And he sauntered over to help her up again. "Don't think the floor's a good place to stick around, though. I ain't got nothing to sell you, so why don't you come back and sit down a while?"

Hopefully Phina wouldn't mind staying roped into this situation until they could figure something out.

Phina frowned at the woman's response and turned watching her leave only to see her end up on the floor once more. Perry went to follow responding to her comment about being drunk, while Phina simply tried to refrain from rolling her eyes. She turned to the bar tender and waved him over.

"Please tell me you have some sort of bread, or cake or something, just a small bit. And some water," she said quickly and waited for the bartender to return with it. A slice of white bread and glass of water was handed to her and she tipped the man before moving back over to the pair.

She walked up right beside the pair and held out the water to Bella, "this first," she said wanting the woman to drink it. "Slow not all of it, just yet."

She didn't think it would be such a great idea to leave the woman in the state she was in. It was hard enough to get a coherent response out of her, she couldn't imagine how much trouble it was going to be to get her home.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 17, 2012 10:37 pm

Giving a very heavy, very dramatic sigh Bellatrix looked up at the two of them once more. Well. Things could always be worse.

She heard Phina say something about drinking the water and reached for the glass, missing a few times before finally catching it and taking a few small sips from it. Hm…it tasted pretty good after all of the booze…

“You’re right. Floor isn’t so great. Thanks.” She pulled herself to her feet once more, clutching to the water and taking a sip when she got back in her chair.

“I thin’ I should go home…” The woman looked into her glass of water and just sighed again, drinking a little more. “Yeah…I really should...Who’s gonna take me there? I’ll fall down ‘f I walk…”

She wasn’t normally like this, she really wasn’t and if Bellatrix had any say in the matter, she would not hav ended up in a situation like this for anything in the world. This was how a teenager should act, not a grown woman! She was a complete embarrassment.

What a relief. Phina was one hell of a cool customer, and a fellow concerned citizen to boot. Perry was definitely grateful that he had bumped into her, otherwise... well, otherwise, maybe he wouldn't have run into this lady in the first place. But that was beyond the point. The redhead was still turning out to be every bit as classy as he dressed.

He pulled a few long locks of hair behind his shoulder while waiting for the stranger to calm down and get some water in her. "Huh... so you came out here by yourself?" That brought a small frown to his face. By the looks of the state she was in, she really could have done well with someone to keep an eye on her. Now wasn't the time to lecture her on her responsibility, though. "Maybe you should stay put a little bit until you can stand up. Get you some fuel for the road, then we can get you a cab."

A little shrug and an apologetic look was offered to Phina. At least she was neutralized, right?
PostPosted: Tue Dec 18, 2012 6:35 pm

Phina waited patiently for the woman to get the water in her. She needed something to dilute the ridiculous amount of alcohol in her system. She agreed whole heartily when the woman said she should go home, "yes I think that would be most wise. I'm sure you do not truly wish to continue making a spectacle of yourself."

She looked to Perry as he spoke and quickly agreed again, "but yes he is right. I think you should sit for a while as well. We can keep you company and here eat this," she said handing Bella the bread, but looking to Perry again. She smiled and shrugged at the apologetic look.

"As for the cab. Well I don't really trust this city so much at night. I think I would much prefer to take her home. I don't mind really, so long as she promises fair warning if she is going to vomit. I'd like not to have vomit smell in the car tonight."

She looked to Bella, "I'm Seraphina Lace, by the way. You okay with me taking you home?"

The bread and water did help a bit to clear her head and with a heavy sigh, Bellatrix nodded. “Yeah I came out here alone…” Her eyes turned to land on Seraphina and she gave a slow nod. “Ser…Sera…Lace. Ok. I’m Bell…just Bell for right now...” She gave the briefest of smiles then rested her head on the table.

“A ride home would be nice…thanks.”

She really didn’t want to admit defeat, but the night had already been ruined several times over, and if she ended up getting attacked on the way home, well…she wouldn’t be in any shape to fight now would she?

Oh how she hoped she would never cross paths with these people again…even if there was a very slim chance she would remember them if she ever did cross their paths again.

She lifted her head off the table and murmured another word of thanks, before getting to her feet, gripping the table with one hand to keep from swaying.
