That's interesting.

I can easily tell the difference in pronunciation, than again I am not a southerner, but god do I love the south.

The south is the land of Paula Deen's delicious buttery diabetes and sunshine..... there's nothing not to love except for the crazy conservatives!

This business is really baffling on my end. I'm wired (as is everyone around me) to never detect the differences, and therefore until today I had no idea there was a difference.
Conversation with sister talking about TWEWY:

"So you kill these monsters called Noise and they drop pins that you use as weapons."
"Pens?"
"Yeah, pins. You get cool powers from them."
"Like..... does the ink has special powers?"
"Nononono, I'm talking about button pins, or flair pins!"
