Meet the Family

Mother-Vittoria Elysium ('Tori)
User Image
Vittoria is a somewhat selfish mare who is focused on her own desires and pleasures. Aquaintances tend to fall in one of two catagories: unimportant or sustenance, those who are willing to donate blood to help quench her thirst when she asks. Malphias is a stallion who she saved on a whim one day, and who falls in the second category.
She wasn't much of a mother to her first batch of foals, but she did love them in her own way. She is unlikely to be all that involved, and if she is, she will be more indifferent, unless they prove to be beautiful or somehow can be useful to her pursuits.

Father- Malphias
User Image
From the first moment he took breath, he was unwanted, unloved. He heard statements like those. They rang in his ears and were engraved on his heart.
Never knowing love, he does not know how to give it. When he was a young stallion, filled with self-loathing and anger, he left to look for a way to end it all. It was then he was captured by humans who used, abused, and mistreated him.
For a while, he put up with it, believing it to be no more than he deserved. Then he met her. An elegant dark lady who made him feel like perhaps he did have some value. It hit hard when he learned of her betrayal. Nearly destroying his soul.
Lesson learned, he hardened his heart. Nothing like that would ever happen to him again. He would find those of his past who made him who he was. He would have vengeance. And he owed it all to his Dark Lady. He now had more than a value. He had a purpose.
These foals were both a means to an end, a possible way for him to eventually get revenge, and a payment to Tori for all she had done for him.

Half-sister - Zion Nightshade
User Image

Half-brother - Elijah Nightshade
User Image

The Middle daughter (mine, no touchy)- Minaret Elysium (aka, Mina)
User Image
She will be raised mainly by Zion, and depending upon how she turns out, she will either be seen as a companion (equal) or as a servant

Mother's sister, aunt Malikaiah
User Image
Spending almost all her time on the fringes of azrein society, trying to remain outside the war and fighting -which she abhors. She lives a hedonistic lifestyle, even moreso than Tori. This is the first time she has heard of any nieces and nephews, not having been involved when Zi and Elijah were born. She would like to make up for this oversight by being involved with these foals.

The Prompts

1. Vittoria is a selfish and self-absorbed mare, Zion is a harsh and exacting female who is determined to make sure her siblings are raised to meet certain standards, Malphias is a stallion on a mission, driven to find revenge. As a foal, you are given a choice as to whom will raise you. Who do you choose?
2. There is darkness in your blood. The child of a bloodsucker and a stallion who is hell-bent on revenge, enough so that it twisted him to his very soul. What is your darkness? Do you fight it or embrace it?
3. Your mother is an elegant lady who is selfish and absorbed. Your sire is vengeful. Your sister believes she is the greatest thing and she is entitled to whatever she wishes. What are you like? Do take after your mother, your father, or are you your own being?
4. Create your own adventure.

Username: Reaokee
Name: Funesta Elysium (Elysium is the Greek word for the fields of paradise and Funesta means Tarnished. It felt right.)
Personality: Devoted
Alignment: Neutral
Possible Plot Ideas: Plot one: A servent’s wish is only to please.- Wanting to please her mother Funesta will foolishly head north as a foal and try to convince some ‘friends’ *Azrein, human it doesn’t matter* to come south to meet her mother, and stay for dinner.

Plot two: How could all I ever know be wrong?- I’d like for Funesta to met someone who challengers her beliefs and faith in her mother and family. I’m not certain if she will listen or just ignore them, but I want her to think.

Plot three: Love? What use is that?- Funesta needs to meet someone who loves her for her being herself. Now things could get tricky if her mother meets and disapproves or has other plans for Funesta. The mare might be forced to leave her mother or leave her love. If her mother approves then yay~

Plot four: The end. Forget not my life.- In the end I’d like Funesta to put everything she has into protecting and or serving who she is with *depends on plot three* She need not die *could but need not*, but giving her all may leave her burned out and empty. Still she wouldn’t regret it because she is devoted and lives for whom she is with.

Prompt: One, a bit of three and four-
The first memories swirling by were those of voices. A harsh one demanding to be heard, one coated in darkness, and the last. The last was the voice of an angel amidst the fog. Now standing with her sister and her brother Funesta was given a choice. It wasn’t really a choice though. She knew where she belonged and who she would follow willing and eagerly. Her sister was already lying down by their half sister’s hooves and her brother had yet to pick his place. Striding forward without hesitation Funesta made her choice. Her mother. Elegant and lovely Funesta had always been captivated with her mother and strived to earn her mother’s notice. Wanting so much to be as graceful and beautiful as her mother it was Funesta’s dream to make others stand in awe or her as she was in awe of her mother. The entitled attitude of her half-sister annoyed her and the desire for solely revenge was uninteresting.

Perhaps she would never earn her mother’s love but Funesta was certain she could be useful to her mother and perhaps make her mother smile. Yes she would do that, the only question was how? Her mother had little interest in things like flowers or pretty stones. Her mother craved blood. Food, to make her mother happy Funesta would have to bring her mother something sweet and more flavorful than anything else, blood. The only question now was where she could find the tastiest blood. Standing by waiting for her brother to choose Funesta started to plan how to get a treat for her mother. Perhaps in the mysterious north…. *lead into plot one*

Username: manga_artist303
Name: Atlas Elysium
Personality: Inflamed
Alignment: Evil
Possible Plot Ideas:
1: This burden I bear - Atlas learns more about his purpose according to his vengeful father and is trained to become a deliverer of his father's vengeance.

2: What's 'friendship'? Does it taste good? - Atlas meets other Azrien and has to figure out how to interact with them. In the process, maybe one of them teaches him about the foreign concept of 'having fun'.

3: You don't understand - Atlas has a heated argument with his father. It is at this time when Atlas's frustrations of being unloved--which he points out is why Malphais is seeking revenge--by the person who should have loved him most. This will lead to him leaving his father temporarily and possibly fighting against his role as his father's weapon of vengeance. Depending on how badly the argument goes, he may elect to leave his father permanently at a later date.

3b: You don't understand either - I think after the fallout with his father, he'll go north and see what his other family's like. He's equally (if not more) unsatisfied with his mother and half-sister, and in his disgust returns south again. His frustration may be tempered slightly by good relations with his full-blood siblings, depending on their personalities.

4: A place to call home - Atlas finds a Azrien or group of Azrien (possibly his friends made as a foal) that accepts him completely and he feels truly cares about him. Depending on plot 3, he may completely abandon his father in favor of this more loving environment or simply split his time between the two. If his father proves persuasive enough, however, he may leave his new home to return to his more vengeful life.

5: A whole new world - Atlas wanders north and meets a good-aligned Azrien (preferably a bonded one), which introduces him to a whole new perspective. Depending on how close he is to his father, he could shunt it completely, agree to disagree, or even begin to accept that way of thinking.

6: I wasn't trained for this! - I want to throw Atlas into a situation he's not used to, be it falling in love, babysitting, both, or something else. Something that will make his inability to interact effectively with others very obvious and require a lot of patience on both sides (which, for Atlas, would be extremely difficult). Atlas is likely to lash out and, for possibly the first time, he feels guilty about it and makes him feel even stranger.

Prompt: 2 (with bits of the others)

Atlas's darkness is an endless rage born from his loveless childhood as a tool for his father's vengeance and his endless days training to carry out that vengeance. His first instinct around others is to lash out when he's in anything other than a good mood, which makes it hard for him to interact with others. As he grows older, it becomes coupled with a venomous hatred of his uncaring family.

At first, his rage is simply a tool, a way for him to use his emotional turmoil to help him fight. He embraces it completely, because that's what his father has done and taught him to do. But as he starts interacting with Azrien besides his father, he realizes how crippling it is to him and as his admiration for his family plummets, his attempts to fight his dark rage increases. However, he doesn't fight his darkness completely; he lets his familial hatred grow unchecked and he succumbs to his rage during times of great frustration and pain.

How his relationships with his father and other Azrien develop will determine how well he can control his rage as an adult. As a colt, he will have little control over his rage and will lash out often. The more independent from his father (and his father's vengeance) he becomes, the more control he'll gain over his rage, as he will rely on it less often.

Username: Duke Edward Drake
Name: Sail
Personality: Oxidizing
Alignment: Evil
Possible Plot Ideas:

Some of the others in the six are thinking of converting Sail would try to convince them not too.

A trip with his father, learning his history and perhaps helping him with his vengeance, at least being someone that Mal can talk too.

He wants to support his father, who he feels has been wronged from the start.

Training from the six leaders, a venture into the good lands, trying to fit in to any of a few select herds for information. Potentially really liking the azrein there and becoming a little confused as to wether he is doing the right thing.

Prompt: Number and response.
2. Sail would embrace his darkness until proven wrong. Its in his blood, flowing through his veins. He idolizes his father and accepts that his mother was no angel and he sees nothing wrong with that. She was what she was and this means that he doesn't have pressure on him to be something that he is not. He may eventually be brought to see the light, whatever that is. He is comfortable in shadow with shifty azrein, he will be powerful and strong and nearly untouchable or so he believes. It seems impossible to him that someone would call him on his personality, his actions and his lifestyle, he minds his own and believes everyone else should leave him alone. Why fix something that is so obviously not broken. Snoopy azrein will be met with hostility, more so if they are male. Sail will see them as competition and try to trounce them out of his territory. As for his sisters they are precious and can probably get away with a lot around him. They are family and know him better then many would dare.

Username: Dark x Deception
Name: Agana Lux [Name for the most part means Blood Light]
Personality: Hostile
Alignment: Evil
Possible Plot Ideas:
Brutal Beginnings - Agana was taken away from her mother at a young age. And never knew her father. As she is grown in the company of her sister, she wonders if this is all that is meant to be of her life causing her to become resentful and bitter of her existence.

Dark Hunter - Part of Agana's family are vampires. Why isn't she? Agana feels as though she must learn more about the vampires - and possibly become one - to find her true place in a world that wants nothing to do with her. More of an attempt to figure herself out as she grows older.

Father O' Mine - Agana seeks out her father and brother in attempts to understand more about her mother. At this point she may or may not grow closer to her brother causing her to possibly break ties with her sister with whom she was raised at the time.

Blood is Thicker... - Agana attempts to find some sort of understanding with her siblings - both full and half blooded. From there, she debates on how to live knowing that her father is full of rage and vengeance and her mother is simply full of herself. She wants at least one of her siblings to confide in and feel at home with.

Lone Wolf - Agana attempts to go it alone if she can find no solace in her siblings. Here she can either find a good or neutral aligned azrein or herd that can attempt to change her perspective on life or strengthen it depending on the interaction.

What is this? - Agana is faced with a situation that causes her to re-think everything she's ever known - and it scares the s**t out of her. She will attempt to seek council with siblings if she has strong ties with them or go at it alone hoping her heart will lead her in the right direction.

Prompt: A combination of 2 and 3

All she remembered was emerging from her mother's womb cold and wet. She heard the snorting and mewling of her other siblings. She expected the comfort of the one who gave birth to her. It never came. Agana Lux was born to a mother that only loved herself and a father that could care less about her existence. Then there was another being that took her and her siblings - her half-sister Zion. Things with Zion were a little strange, but her sister and brother were there with her. That should could for something...right? But she realized that each of them needed to grow into their own. She refused to become her mother and damn sure didn't want to become her sister. But her father...her father was so twisted with his hate and revenge that he became something that she wasn't sure she could even fathom to become in fear of losing her mind in the process.

As she grew, Agana felt the harsh rule of her sister...and the welling darkness inside of her. There was something gnawing at her soul that begged to be let free. But what? She felt the voices of the ones that had wronged her father - including that of her mother's. Agana felt a burn within her to find the voices and eradicate them for good. These voices were urging her to spill the blood of the beings around her and drink from them. But they were her siblings. And they did not deserve the fate that the voices were begging her to bring forth. Agana was terribly thirsty...and thirst for something so impure that it shocked even her. She was trying to figure it all out and in the end she realized that she wanted - no needed - to search this dark hunger within her and find her 'cure' for the itch of thirst.

Would it be her salvation...or would it doom her soul?

If we're allowed to enter for the both of them, I'll give the two in my entry almost the same response, other than he/she, and other gender differences, but I shall respond with RPing Shar.

Username: xKOVAKtheWOLFx
Name: F :Shar (Mistress of the Night) M: Terrae Filius (Son of the Earth)
Personality: Cold
Alignment: Evil
Possible Plot Ideas:
      It's Called The Moon
Living in the shadows, Shar would be used to the words of her father, and would rarely hear the sounds of her mother. This is practically the only thing that she has to her mother - the moon - and she intends to make sure that her mother never fades away.
      Breaking the Core Inside
Shar would question her father about why he carries the necklace around him, especially since she believes that they were not to touch humans in the first place. She would want to know more about him and would eventually get him to break down. After this, she would ponder more about herself and seek for her mother.
      I Could Use You...
Shar is well,... sort of a wimp when coming to speaking to strangers, especially those older than her. She would find a companion, and would use him/her to find her mother.
What Is This Feeling Inside of Me?
Shar feels something for the one that she is travelling with and doesn't know what it is. Love? Confusion? What? All she knows is that it is distracting her and she feels clumsy and awkward around.
      Why Do You Have Fangs?
Shar and the friend would meet up with one of the vampires and learn more about Shar's history, where she would finally encounter her mother.
Prompt: 2: There is darkness in your blood. The child of a bloodsucker and a stallion who is hell-bent on revenge, enough so that it twisted him to his very soul. What is your darkness? Do you fight it or embrace it?
She had chosen the life of misery, but also the life of freedom. Here, she did not need to follow anyone's orders, just had to pretend that she did. Ears flickering, she snorted and walked away from all that was happening. She knew that she would return to her father soon after the one she was to call 'mother' and 'sister' left. Who were they to think that this would all go well? Why wouldn't they just die already? She smiled at the thought and then galloped off, laughing in amusement. Stumbling over a few stones, the filly did manage to get back up successfully and stared as her unwanted guests left. This was now her's. All her's. And whoever was ready to fight for it of course.
Shar knew. The only one she would listen to would be herself and her father, but he seemed to be a little out of it lately, so screw him. Looking at the horizon where her mother was travelling to, Shar closed her eyes and thought of regret. She knew that she needed her mother, and stared at the moon that was soon to come. This was the beginning of her story.

Username: b3horses
Name: Riagan Crtmir [Impulsive Hatred and Peace]
Personality: Impulsive
Alignment: Neutral
Possible Plot Ideas:
Should I stay or should I go?
Riagan is unsure of what to do. His heart is darkened by the clear indication that he is unloved. Should he stay, and keep being forced to be molded into a being that he is not, or should he leave and embark on a journey of self discovery?

Don't Stop Believing
As impulsive as his name suggests, Riagan leaves his family to travel the world. He may only be a foal, but fending for himself is better than becoming a tool of hatred, like his sister and father want, and it is certainly better than staying with an uncaring mother.

I am Cannibal
As Riagan grows older and stronger, a deep hunger settles into him. What is this feeling? This dark want to feed on those that he meets on his journeys. Why does he feel this way? Deciding he needs more research, Riagan, for the first time, sets out with the intention of meeting someone who can perhaps explain why he feels this way.

At Last
Riagan has grown into a brave, strong, and independant young male. But what happens when he meets his match in an equally unique individual. But when he reveals his background, and his blood lust, will he/she shy away and leave him brokenhearted? And if he/she leaves him, will he be forced to face the same demons as his sire, and battle the darkness that threatens to consume him?

Prompt: A bit of all of them, with a focus on 1.

Riagan doesn't remember his first breath, nor does he remember his first steps. But he does remember the dark angel that is his mother. He remembers her uncaring heart and her fascination with only herself. He remembers his father's cold and uncaring glances, hellbent on only his own goal of revenge to ease satisfaction into his heart. Most of all, he remembers the spark of his half-sister's eyes as she studied him and his sisters, judging who would become the best servant to her.

When he had first shed his blanket he was given a choice. Mother, Father, or Zion. Knowing that he had only those choices of being turned into someone he was not, a tool for revenge or a mere servant, he 'chose' to stay with his uncaring mother, but quickly left her side at the first opportunity, and disappeared from everywhere they would know as quickly as possible.

He did not want to be found. He did not want to be a servant or tool to the whims of others, and leaving was better than staying with a mare who barely acknowledged his existence. Riagan would rather carve out his own destiny, by himself, and discover who he was truly meant to be, without the influence of his parents' dark ambitions.

Username: Nyx Argyros
Name: Evangeline (from the Greek ev "good" and angelma "news/message")
Personality: Entitled
Alignment: Neutral
Possible Plot Ideas:
Kindred: Eve meets her aunt and finds a kindred spirit. She decides that she would like to get to know her better, maybe even travel with her instead of her parents or sister.

Mommy, Can I Keep Him?: Eve finds a shiny new plaything and would like to take him home with her.

Broken Toys: Eve breaks her new plaything. How will she deal with it when he doesn't want to play anymore?

Lead Me Not: Eve leads her siblings into temptation and they get into trouble. How will they get out of it, and who gets the blame?

Innocent: A rogue finds Eve and her siblings and thinks that they will be easy prey, but he may have bit off more than he can chew.

Prompt: A bit of a cross between 3 and 1
Her snobbish attitude may not allow her to see it for herself, but Evangeline takes rather strongly after her mother. Above all else, she adores that which can entertain her - especially if it involves people tripping over their own feet to meet her whims. Although she is not particularly bloodthirsty, she does have a sadistic streak and is not above watching someone suffer for her amusement. They should be honored, really, that she is paying them any attention at all. After all, they are obviously beneath her.

Of course, the similarities between Eve and her mother are what keep her from really liking her - as much as she is able to like anyone else, anyway. Though she might be willing to pick up a few tips from her mother, she finds the mare to be too self-absorbed. What good is she if she does not even pay attention to her own daughter? Eve has a similar problem with her father: she finds his single-minded thirst for vengeance to be boring and his devotion to her mother to be irritating. As for her sister, well, Zion spoils all the fun. But her Aunt Mali? Now there's a mare who knows how to have a good time. The very moment she gets the chance, Eve would simply love to go spend time with her dear auntie. Who better to show her the pleasure in life?
