Has anyone here other than me read this book, either in it's original French version or in a translated version?
If so, what did you think of it? What did you think of the guy (can't remember his name, anyway it was the main character)? Do you agree with his laisse faire sort of attitude?
I personally liked the book quite a bit, though I found it odd. The guy's point of view on life was also quite interesting, but I'm not so sure that I agree with it. I'm not religious (contrary to what my username might lead you to believe ninja ), but his ideas seemed a bit extreme. Like when he yelled at the guy that it doesn't matter when/how you die but that we are all condemned in the end, I was starting to wonder if he had been dropped on his head as an infant... gonk

But you're smart. >.< rofl Except for the fact that my mathematics skills are at about fourth-grade level. xd I just can't do math. It's like there's an invisible wall between me and the answer.
