The blue lioness made light footsteps through the dirt as she made her way from the dens to the watering hole. Coeur hadn't been awake but maybe an hour and her mouth felt dry, like she had never had a drink in her life. Her guard duty lately had been at sporadic hours, sometimes during the day and others at night. Despite still being a bit tired she was in a cheerful mood and ready for whatever today had in store for her. As she reached the edge of the watering hole her dark pink eyes scanned the area and she realized she was alone. Coeur let out a soft sigh before she dipped her mouth in the water and began to drink. The lioness drank until she couldn't possibly have another sip of water. Deciding she didn't want to head back to her den just yet she took a few steps back from the watering hole and laid down.
Since her arrival in the pride she had encountered many members, helped new comers start their journey by taking them to the King and Queen and in all honesty she felt fulfilled in her role. She could finally protect others and didn't have to think to hard about her actions or how she carried herself. However, when she returned to her den she found herself alone and it was something she enjoyed anymore. She wanted to return home and for there to be someone there waiting for her. In fact, she wouldn't mind waiting for someone else. A small smile crept onto her maw as she licked at her white paws. Who would have thought she would ever think about this type of thing.
