Twuroth had made his way carefully around the savanna. Things seemed to be going rather normal that he could see. The birds stayed hidden in the trees on this hot day, not that there were trees anywhere close to him. He could see them in the distance, but that was about it. He flicked his tail as he moved silently. He was trying to avoid being seen, he didn't like being stuck in conversation. The last time he was someone mistook him for his brother...
The stories he had heard recently... It irritated him. He wasn't going to stand for it. He frowned as the thoughts flickered back into his head. No, he wouldn't let that get to him. He took a deep breath and let it out before a smile came upon his face. He was going to forget anything he heard of his brother. He was not, after all, his brother.
He'd make sure that creatures wouldn't mistake him fro his brother, he just didn't know how. He didn't look like him, in Twuroth's opinion, but with someone who was scared of the other leopard, it was easy to mistake for someone else. Especially when you were related. "Things will be different..."

Nyota was by the river, trying to avoid the hot day, as usual. being bright orange might be nice for some, but the sun liked to make itself absorb into her fur. She decided to hop in for a bit of a swim, sure the current was always stronger then it looked, but so was she, Nyota was always sure she would be able to get out of a sticky situation. it was perfect, seeing as she always knew the right spot to hop in so she wouldn't be swept away from the rouge lands into someones pride, and seriously get the tar beat out of her, she really didnt need or want that. as she shook the thought from her head, she paddle along the river, enjoying the coolness it gave her, even though it was one hot day. little did she know, she was heading in the direction of where the current got to its strongest, where even some of the strongest of felines had trouble paddling away from it, she wasn't paying attention, as the current started to sweep her away, she snapped up from the haze she was in and turned her body around, trying s hard as she could to paddle back to a safer spot...

Twuroth heard some loud splashes close by, of course he didn't really thing too much of it at first. Though, the more he heard it, the more he wanted a bit of a drink. He moved his slender muscular body toward the river that happened to be much closer than he had originally thought. He wasn't the best at keeping awareness on the land around him when deep in thought. It was troubling at times, as his brother could sneak up on him quite easily that way, but with word from birds, he knew he was no where close to here.
As he got closer to the water, he saw a lioness in the water. Strange as that was, he just kinda stood there for a moment watching her. He hadn't ever seen a feline enter into water before. Not like that anyways. Maybe she fell in? He wasn't sure. His daze kept him from doing anything but just staring for the moment though. He wasn't sure if she needed help, or if he could help.
He was a strong swimmer, though, he just didn't particularly like water. He moved a little closer finally, getting a better look at the situation at hand. "need a little help?" he finally asked. He wasn't going to jump into the water if she didn't. That'd be just silly.

Only then, when she head the voice, did she realize she had gotten into more trouble then she thought. Her mind was buzzing with thoughts "oh jeez...what am i gonna do now?! this must be really strange for him to see, a lioness in water, i dont even like water that much, but its nice and cooling on a hot day!" Thoughts like this buzzed in her mind for minutes before replying. "oh...ermm, yeah, it seems i got my self into a sticky situation" but before she could try and get a little closer to shore, current swept her away again, and gave a roar in anger. she was strong, but not strong enough for the river. she would be so glad when someone saved her....
But she had to try and help herself! she paddled hard nad fast to try and fight the current, trying to get to shore, or at least a not so strong point to catch her breath. but it was no use. she was getting tired, and breathless. she felt she could just close her eyes and fade away...but she couldn't. in order to have herself saved, she had to keep her mind strong. "just keep your head above water, you'll be fine..." she thought to herself. but would everything be fine? she hoped so...

He pondered the thought for a moment. He'd never helped someone get out of such a situation, but there was always a bound for a first in every little thing. He looked around the edges of the water, and it seemed the only solution was actually getting a little wet himself. He couldn't allow her to drown, he'd never forgive himself for that. He sighed. It was no other choice, he'd have to go for a small dip. Who knew? It could be quite enjoyable?
Not likely... He padded down towards the water, eyed the tree that could possibly be another potential rescue option, but decided against it. If he was going to do it, he had to do it right. He flicked his tail, and dipped a paw into the water to test it. It wasn't going to be very easy, but he could do this. His muscles could hold both of them he was more than sure. "Just... Stay there." He said as if she was going to go anywhere.
His ears flicked back, and he took a deep breath and let it out... This was not how he wanted to spend his day, but that was hardly something he could think about now.

Lady Kiya HOLY. Sorry this tag took forever on my part, looking back on it i never put it in active RPs...so yeah, i was scrolling through plot thread pages and found it again xD Nyota tried her best not to let the current sweep her away, she had to stay strong but she felt that any moment now she could just let go and....But she wouldnt let herself go, he had come this far to save her, she had to do the best she could to stay awake, and not let the shock of this situation get the best of her. She huffed a little, and put all her strength to her paws. She paddled closer to the leopard who was trying to save her, why not at least try and make the rescue mission a little easier? Ok, this was really tough, and Nyota felt she was about to pass out, this was the first time she ever felt this way, she had no idea a current could suck the energy out of you within the blink of an eye. Nyota sighed a little but she could do this.

Twuroth didn't even think twice about it as he plunged into the water. It was colder than he expected, but that didn't change his choice. He couldn't just let her die, not when he had seen her. It would haunt him the rest of his life. He made his way towards her as fast as he could. He could see that she was slipping. It looked as if he'd have to pull her to safety with little to no help.
He reached her and swam under her, trying to get his body to hold up her body. His head came up next to her. "Grab on" he told her. Hopefully it wasn't too late that she'd have a little energy to help him get her back to land. His muscles could only take so much for so long. He was sure he'd get her there regardless, it'd just take more effort than he originally thought it would have took him.Bloo Starr I should apologize, not you!

Nyota tried to keep herself awake, she tried with all her might! She had to help him, if she didn't, they could both die. She tried to think, where was that banking spot....? She remembered! She shouted to him "Go to your left, and there shouldbe an spot easy to climb onto!" Her eyelids were half closed, and she was ery exhausted, but she could do this, she wouldn't let herself give way to the current. She couldn't, if she did, what would happen to this kind male? She didn't even want to think about it. She kept trying to help him face the current, trying with the rest of her energy to make her strong paws paddle through the water.

He followed her instructions to the left, and spotted the area she was talking about. He put all his muscle and strength into every bit of it he could. It took a bit, but he had managed to get them both over to that spot. The tick now was getting out of the water. The moment he got in, he had regretted it, but he couldn't have let her die. No, he had to think of a way to get her up there. Her being tired, and him slowly becoming as tired as she was. "Okay, Lift up, I'll push you up." The water wasn't as deep there, and he could put his feet into the wall of the muddy river.Bloo Starr Apologize on taking forever
