Well his morning had been an interesting one, he'd left home seeking quiet and some time to think but instead he'd bump into a rather strange lioness, who didn't seem at all comfortable with having met him. He wondered briefly why exactly she had chosen to confront him, but it wasn't too big a deal. He'd been social, something his mate was constantly on his hide to do. So he supposed it was a win-win situation.

But now he was all alone again, at least for the moment. Taking his luck into consideration he was likely to find someone else to take up his time, any second now..

To say the least, Vodnitvar was infuriated but not at the new visitor he had. He was more mad at himself for allowing such a lion to sneak up on him. And even more mad for not realizing that the lion was .. flying?!

Vodnitvar took a double take, before attempting to come to his senses. Was this a god? He'd heard of them in passing, but never had he met one face to face. Now here he was, with perhaps one of the most cheerful out there?

"Me?"

Looking around, it was obvious the lion was talking to him.

"Well to be honest, I sort of don't know what you mean. You aren't some dirty minded lions are you?" Eyeing the god with a skeptical look, he tried to hold in a smirk. He wasn't trying very hard mind you, but he was still trying.

"It was a joke, by the way..."

Sitting on his haunches he looked up at the hovering lion curiously...

"So what did you have in mind?"

He was trying really hard not to just walk away from this male, he was so strange. Though he supposed it wasn't a bad strange, it was a good kind. Hell if this god had run into anyone else, they would love his over eager personality, but Vodnitvar wasn't like that. He had a low patience level, and he was just about there. Voddy's ears perked a bit as the god turned his attention to the rat burrowing in and out of his mane. OK ... now he was really strange.

Eyeing the male once more, Vodnitvar scoffed at his remark. "You're talking to the wrong lion buddy, as you can see my sense of humor isn't that great. I'm not much of a laugher either. Shrugging his shoulders lightly, he spoke up once more.

"What's your story anyway? You fly in out of nowhere and just start laughing - then ask me to laugh? Happy about something?"

Well that was pretty obvious.

Of course at some point in his life Voddy had been an overly joyous lion. He had everything he ever needed in his life, he was on the top of his game, but now? Now he was a sore excuse for what he once was, but he was getting back to his old self. If only with the help of his loving mate.

"Its not that I can't laugh!" Pausing at his own words, he tried to think of exactly how to pass on the idea without offending him. "I just don't have reason to. Unless you want a fake laugh? I guess I could try to give you one of those..."

Vodnitvar winces at Iiro's words. Whether he realized it or not, he'd hit a sore spot. Often times he wished he wasn't mortal, because if he weren't, he would never have been injured in the first place. His life had been a cruel down spiral, and he regretted most of it. Thankfully, a certain lioness was beginning to turn things around for him.

"Well I guess that explains the laughter. Are you just naturally this way, I mean happy go lucky? Don't you ever consider that some lions could be dangerous?!" Glaring the male down, it took him a moment to realize what he'd said. Chances are the male didn't care if he came upon a bad lion, he was a god afterall. Its not like much could really hurt him.

Voddy supposed he could understand where the male was coming from. If he lived for laughter, then of course he would act the way he did. But that didn't mean it wasn't sickeningly annoying.

"I think you're just as nuts as they rest of them. But ... in a good way." Vodnitvar offered a small smile. It was a true one, but small none the less. Big smiles weren't his thing anymore, sure he smiled but to smile as large as this god? He couldn't remember the last time he'd ever done such a thing.

"My story?

Well my name is Straw Dog, I come from a very .... different pack of lions." He shrugged slightly at his own words, sure that those particular choice in words wasn't hurting anyone. "I was just out for some fresh air, and some time to think. No big deal, I don't have a really interesting story like you ... i'm just ... another lion." Shrugging off his own words he looked up to the male once more.

"Wait what's your name anyway? Gods have names right?"

"Iiro huh? That's an interesting name.." The entire time he spoke, he was biting his tongue. Trying to be careful not to snap at the god for his big mouth.

"So looks like you've got quite a bit of energy in you, huh!?" Truthfully he was jealous that the god was able to such energetic things. He'd give just about anything to still be able to do that, but what was done was done. He sighed heavily, his frown beginning to show once more, but then he took a glance at the sky. The winds had been picking up for a while, but now he could see why. There was a storm coming, and coming quick.

Trying not to rude or disrepectful, he dipped his head in consideration to Iiro. "I don't mean to offend you, but I think I should be heading back. With this weather the way it is, my mate is sure to have a fit if I don't return soon." Look up from his small bow, he offered the male a bigger smile. Just to show his respect for an encounter which hadn't been nearly as bad as he expected. "Thank you for the pick me up Iiro. I think it was just what I was out here looking for."
