Her heart was beating, soft light seen in the dark that was slowly coming over the field, her paws making it as they brought her along, eyes wide, running and running... The thing behind her, was it there still? She hadn't known, she didn't want to look just run run run... As she was, she could not hide. Her odd light brought attention, leaving her exposed and easy to see, especially when she tripped, falling down a hill faster than the thing could run, light trailing after her, small orbs hovering where she had been. They stayed for a bit too, slowly winking out, leaving a light trail to where she lay near a river. Her head was hurting, her paws... her leg even, it was so sore. An ear was torn, she could feel it, a bush... There had been one behind her, having torn at her fur and skin, bringing her to be hurt as she was... "Help..." She was scared. And all Neone could hope for was someone to hear, her harmed body slowly righting as her dulled gaze looked for shelter. But that beast...that thing it was behind her. And she didn't have any idea what to do. "Help!" Louder this time. Someone... she prayed they would hear. She prayed and hoped. And it took a moment for her to get herself moving again. It wasn't a run, but the light colored Bijoux was moving, slowly making her way through the area. "Help! Please Someone!" Her leg was hurting too much though. She knew she would have to stop.

Syl gently padded to the river and took a quick, refreshing drink; a last stop before heading straight home. He had been out all day, exploring and enjoying the nice weather, sneaking in a short nap or two.
A short commotion caught his attention and he paused from drinking to look around. It was dark and quiet out now and that helped him to easily catch the strange little orbs that were gently emitting light fade out, and then heard a frantic voice. Not able to make out what the voice was saying, he carefully hurried towards it.
"Hello?"
"Help! Please Someone!"
Finally making out what the voice was saying, Syl quickened his pace. A bijoux surrounded in soft light quickly came into view.
"Hello? Are you okay?"

There was someone there! Her quickly beating heart felt a swell of relief as she limped toward him. "There...there is a monster chasing me..." Her leg hurt so bad... "I...I fell down a hill... My leg is hurt... Please help me..." Neone shivered, chest heaving for breath as she swallowed. "Please..." Her ear throbbed, her body ached, her leg and paws were burning...The female nearly passed out, but out of sheer will, her eyes stayed open, full of tears as well.

Syl blinked when he saw her limping and quickened his pace so she wouldn't have to further her injuries, silently wondering how she was still conscious. Her wounds looked bad. Being closer to her, he saw that her interesting little light orbs softly illuminated her fur, revealing a soft yellow with pretty, rainbow-colored swirls. The mention of a monster pulled him from his mental observation and made him blink.
"Monster?" Grey eyes flicked around in a feeble attempt to see into the darkness. "What does it look like?"
He glanced in the direction of his home. It was a little ways off, but it was the closest safe place he knew of..
"Do you think you can make it a short ways to my burrow?"

"I..I will try..." She swallowed, a growl was heard a ways off, the creature unable to find his prey for the time being. "It...it large... like...a canine...fangs..." She swallowed, moving to stand again. "Where...where is your home?"
With the dark setting in, her orbs were rather noticeable, showing off her figure in the night as she moved, a small path made out of her motions. Her tail hit the ground, dragging a bit to keep her even more balanced.

Syl slightly tensed at the distant growl. He greatly disliked that sound. They had to move, soon, if they were going to have any chance of not being caught.
"It's this way, in a field," he answered, raising a paw to point in the direction. "We should get going before our headstart runs out." He gently started leading her off.

"Thank you." She smiled slightly, following as fast as her hurt body would let her. "All others... they ran away. I had no help... I've been chased a long way from my home..." She stumbled, but didn't let the fall keep her down. "I...I will make this up to you."

He would've helped her when she stumbled, but she got up quicker than he could. "Oh! Oh, no, it's okay. You don't have to," he quickly replied, making sure their pace resumed its steady and slow rhythm.
"I'm Syl. What's your name?"

"I...am Neone..." She swallowed, leaning on him slightly as it got harder to move. "Are...are you sure?" Neone looked at him. "I mean... This...it puts you in danger..." And she was feeling to be a burden... "You...you're...really sure?"

Neone..
Syl automatically shifted his weight to support her, curious about her uncertain confusement to his refusal for her to return his favor. "Yes. Yes I'm sure." Very sure.
"It's nice to meet you, too, Neone. I wish the situation was a bit better, though, for you." He seemed to smile at her before looking at the area in front of them. "On a normal day at this pace we'd be.. five minutes away, but in this situation it might be almost fifteen."

"I... I can try and move faster." Something was heard further away behind them, the beast seeming too confused or blind to see the trail of fading lights. This was good. "I... It is...nice to meet you Syl... I would like to have met under better circumstances." She gave herself a strong push to move faster about then, getting to at least a normal speed for a walk as she limped. "I... I just... want to get to shelter currently... I'm sorry if I seem distant."

Syl refused to look behind him when he heard the beast, afraid that it'd slow them down. Every second was crucial until they were tucked safely in his burrow.
He liked that Neone was adamant, despite her many painful-looking injuries. It made this whole trip seem much shorter. Or was it her? "Oh! Oh, no, it's understandable. I'd be a bit distant, too, if I was in your place," he said, gently waving off her apology with his words.
After a couple minutes, the grey male perked up a bit. "Ah! We're here. After you."

"Thank you..." She swallowed before climbing down into the safety below, slowing only when the tunnel opened up, settling still once she felt she could rest. "S-safe..." For the first time in a while... It felt so good... The orbs of soft light shimmered, not fading near her as it seemed. Her tail twitched, a sigh passing from her. "Thank the meadow."

He liked her little light orbs. They seemed to know exactly the right amount of light to accent what was already there. Or maybe he was just over thinking them. Either way, Syl wasn't used to having company in his burrow, especially when they were still pretty after being injured. "Please make yourself comfortable. Would you like something to snack on?"

"A snack...sounds lovely..." She shivered, the creature that had been chasing her sounding a far off cry, perhaps having found another thing to chase or eat. Either way, it let them be safe. "You are very kind Syl..." She moved to lay on her uninjured side. "Ah...do you have any herbs?" Maybe something for the pain...
