Here there be dungeons. This topic will contain information on how dungeons run as well as a list of dungeons we'll have available for play.
Information: Pokemon can enter dungeons for fun or to gain items and EXP, even without completing quests or missions. This is the only place where Pokemon of different guilds are allowed to team up and travel together.
Rules:
ღYou may enter a dungeon solo, or go in with a team of up to four other members. ღYou may only complete a dungeon once a week. ღEach dungeon has a specific number of rooms. Check the posts below for more information! ღYou may not delete your post once it has been made. If you forgot to roll, make another post and roll there. ღYou must count any items or EXP gained during the adventure. Do not count on anyone else to do so. ღOnce you've completed the dungeon, you may post your EXP tallies in your journal in order to add the levels gained for your Pokemon. You will not gain any points you've earned from an exploration until you complete the dungeon!

So how do dungeons work? To start, create a topic in the dungeons forum. You can call it whatever you want, but be sure to have the name of the dungeon you're entering in the title somewhere, like this:[Caterpie's Forest] Title Hereor[CF] TIME FOR ADVENTURE.
In your first post, mention who is entering the dungeon and paste in thedungeon map codelocated below the description. You can enter a dungeon solo or take a team of up to four Pokemon.
After that's set up, one person willroll a 10-sided dieto determine which room the group ends up in. Your next post will be used to react to whatever you rolled.
Say you roll a 5:
ღIf the map lists an item (ex: Cheri Berry) next to the number 5, your Pokemon will obtain that item. You can use the item in the dungeon (currently only for RP purposes), or you can keep the item for future use. ღIf the map says 'empty', they go on to the next room without consequence. ღIf there's a Pokemon name, that means you've run into a battle!
For battles, use your next post to generate a number between 1 and 2: if youroll 1, your Pokemon loses, but if youroll 2, you win!Don't worry if you lose; the EXP payouts for winning are higher, but you still gain EXP from losing, and you can continue to explore the dungeon.Wins gain 50 EXP, while losses still earn 30 EXP. Fighting evolved Pokemon such as Butterfree will give an additional boost to EXP, win or lose.Only the Pokemon who fought the enemy will get EXP from the battle.
After you've finished 'reacting' to the room you rolled, your next post will roll for another room. When working in teams, your team members take turns rolling for rooms. The amount of rooms to explore in a dungeon depends on how many team members you have: one person gets 10 rooms, two people get 20, three people 30, and four people 40. Keep in mind that these are the total amount of rooms -- each person in the team will roll for 10 rooms individually. Here is an example of how it works. The rules have been edited since this example was posted to allow for rolling a 10-sided die instead of generating a number!
Once each person has rolled for 10 rooms, the dungeon is complete! Tally up your items and EXP. Every100 EXP equals a level!Happiness points are gained at the same rate as EXP unless stated otherwise. In addition to the EXP points you gain from battle, you also automatically gain one level when you complete a dungeon!

Da-da-DAAAA! You found the Dungeon Map! So far, these are the dungeons your Pokemon can explore:
Caterpie's Forest Beginner Rank, Levels 1 - 10 Home to Bug and Grass Types Just west of Armonia lies a small but flourishing forest. In the sun, it glimmers with colors; red, yellow, blue, and multitudes of green. Though it's labeled as a dungeon, if only for the mysterious moss covered stairs that appear to lead explorers deeper into sun-flooded groves, most Armonians don't think of Caterpie's Forest as particularly dangerous. Guild leaders send their new recruits here for practice. While most of the wild Pokemon who have taken up residence in the forest are peaceful, the Bug types can be quite territorial...
For this dungeon, you will roll for10 roomsusinga 10-sided die.

Mt. Ferros Intermediate Rank, Levels 1 - 20 Home to Rock, Ground, and Fire Types Forming a border around the west and south sides of Armonia is a long mountain range known as Mt. Ferros. In truth, Mt. Ferros is a dormant volcano, known for its fertile red soil. It's also a primary source of ore for Armonia. Although it's been many years since the last eruption, that doesn't mean the inside of the volcano is any less dangerous -- Mt. Ferros is full of long, intricate caverns, with a temperature so hot that only Fire, Rock, and Ground Pokemon can navigate it without help. Other Pokemon must obtain aVial of Waterto withstand the heat for more than a few minutes. In an effort to encourage treasure hunters to bring in items for the Gracidea Trading Association, Kasimira has a special promotion going on at her shop, offering Vials of Water for free.

Retired Dungeons These dungeons are currently unavailable:
Snorta's Themepark Beginner Rank, Levels 1 - 10 Home to Ice and Water Types Snorta is Armonia's mascot for Arceusmus. With a great big smile and jolly red hat, Snorta delivers presents to all the good girls and boys in town... when he's actually awake, that is. He's still a Snorlax, after all, and he needs his rest. And food. Lots and lots of food.
After a particularly unfortunate incident with the Gracidea Trading Association's chimney, Snorta decided that going from house to house was much too likely to cause harm to both his belly and his wallet. He used the last of his money to build Snorta's Themepark. Here, Armonians come to pick up their presents and enjoy plenty of rides and food (if Snorta hasn't gotten to it first). The themepark is only open during winter, and it advertises itself as a magical wonderland -- it is quite wonderful, if you don't pay attention to the taped together billboards and the rather precarious footing of the rollercoaster.
Special Effects: It's snowing! All the items in this dungeon are found in giftboxes.
