December being the festive season nearly slipped Otto's mind. Last year he only remembered because of Julie's handiwork. But with that mystic little woman gone, there was only white walls and odd jobs.

Besides, he was too busy moving his belongings into his new room on the second floor.

An apartment all to himself. The boy was all a flutter inside, and grumpy as always on the outside. In his arms was a giant pile of clothing. He had no means of transporting any of his things aside from kicking them down the hall and up the stairs.

He didn't ask for help. He never liked asking for help. He'd do this by himself.

It wasn’t rocket science that, while moving, Otto would have run into someone eventually. The person he would run into wasn’t new either, and curls bounced as Molly went wide eyed at the sight of the freshly promoted Death Hunter. “Otto!” She cried happily, and bounded her way over to the moving teen, where upon approach, she clasped her hands together and beamed brightly at him.

“Oh? You got promoted too?” She asked, looking at his new coat and well…the way he was moving things. “Congratulations! That’s so wonderful! I’m so happy and proud of you!” Her smile was face splitting. “Do you still have more to move? Do you need help?”

So much for peace and quiet. Otto sighed quietly as Molly bounded over to him. His clothes were shifted around into a more comfortable hold as she approached. "Thanks.." Otto murmured, his tone bashful but his expression stern as ever.

He wasn't sue how to handle her enthusiasm. But, this was the first congrats he'd heard so far.

"Um.. sure. I still got some blankets n stuff back there." Otto replied. His new room came furnished; he simply needed his belongings and personal touches in it. All that was left behind was bedding, a hoard of pillows, and... well that was it. He had very little in the way of belongings.

Well, Molly was just so happy for Otto she couldn’t help but clap her hands and then hug him tightly for a moment before letting him go. “Alright!” Before he could say anymore, Molly had run off into his room to get the rest of his stuff. She came jogging back out with the blankets, and even a large pile of pillows. She didn’t care if he wanted them or not, she brought them.

Her brows were also furrowed in thought, and she seemed to be deliberating something intensely before she came to a decision. “Oh, Otto! As soon as we’re finished moving your stuff…I have something for you! It was supposed to be for Christmas buuuuuut…well…it can be an early Christmas present and a congratulations gift!”

Hugs from Molly were rather special. While his clothing filled arms blocked most of it, the squishy huntress was a comfy person to have hug you.

And yes, Molly. The pillows were vital. They would all be brought to the new room.

"For me?" Otto replied, walking toward the stairs, his gaze trained on the strawberry blonde. "Sorry.. I'd have gotten ya somethin' too but we ain't had shore leave in ages.." He lamented in a low murmur. A couple of hats in his ball of clothes tried to escape, but Otto shifted to keep everything contained.

Molly fell into step with the teen, looking over at him from the pile of things in her arms. She beamed at him from between some pillows. “Yes! For you!” She echoed.

“Oh gosh, Otto, don’t worry about it! It’s alright, I promise! I don’t need anything anyways!” She assured. “I’ll go get it as soon as I put these things down! Luckily I had bought it the last time I was on leave…and I’m really glad I did, since we’ve been on lock down for so long.” She paused, her brows furrowing. “Is it alright if I go get it after I put the stuff down?”

What Molly explained had Otto feeling humbled. She'd gotten him something while on leave so long ago. On her own time, with no special occasion as an excuse. She spotted something she believed would suit him, and spent her own money to get it for him. Humbled indeed.

"Knock yerself out.." Otto replied, dragging himself up the steps in heavy and blunt strides, no hint of grace. He was a man on a mission. Besides, the weight of his cargo made it difficult to be his usual light-footed self, leaping up two steps at a time. Just cause he could.

Down the empty hallway of the second floor he went, until he reached his door, 220. With a bit of shimmying he kicked the door open, which had been left ajar for ease. And belod, the room was revealed. Most of his things were already inside, though nothing had been put into a designated place as of yet. In true Otto fashion, his clothes were dumped on the floor. Likely they would remain until Molly or likely Sasha barged in and complained.

“Okay!” Molly replied. She followed Otto up the stairs and to his room, and upon seeing it, she couldn’t help but…frown briefly. All his clothes…on the floor…he was going to out those away…right? Molly was flexing her wishful thinking. Maybe it was all on the floor because he was in the process of moving…yes…

She shuffled in after Otto, and then moved to carefully place the items on his bed. “Your room looks nice!” She complimented. “Oh! I’ll be right back, alright?” Molly was then quick to scamper off. She went downstairs to her room and looked through her closet until she found two wrapped objects. She picked them up, and then came back upstairs. She paused outside of Otto’s door, waiting as she poked her head in.

“…Is it alright if I come in?” She asked, despite being in not even a few minutes prior.

"Uh... yeah?" Otto said with a brow raised high. Not much had changed, other than the pillows had been piled on the area rug, the blankets were half hazardly strewn about the bed, and his nicer clothes that he'd gotten from Eva were hung in the open closet.

He looked at the presents in her arms, and gave her a curious stare. "Uh.. I get two?" More than one present? Geez, girls just seemed to like doting on Otto.

Molly stepped in, smiling. “Well…yeah! Um…is that a problem? If you want more though, I can make something else for you!” She smiled widely, and then held out one of the presents to him, the smaller of the two. “Merry early Christmas and congratulations on your promotion!” In that present, Otto would find…

A pack of socks.

For real. A pack of socks. Just a plain ol’ pack of socks.

Once he was done with that, she then handed him the second present, bright eyed and her smile was so wide and excited it almost made a ‘C’ shape. Inside the second present…was a pair of shoes. Shoes that weren’t slip ons.

"N-no.. just surprised.." Not that he minded getting more. He took the offered gift, unceremoniously ripping the wrapping like a child at Christmas. The tearing noises were one of the best parts.

Socks.

Otto looked disappointed. Very. "But I don't.. wear socks.." He murmured. Sure, he might be offending Molly and her gracious gift. But... socks. He felt like she didn't know him well at all. That or she was hinting at something.

He took the second present with some eagerness, hoping maybe the socks were some kind of teaser. Unless it was underwear. Yeah.. yeah he could see her buying him underwear. Hell, he'd caught Eva buying him some too, the last time they'd gone on leave.

However, his eyes lit up as he opened the next gift. "Dude... these are so cool." He exclaimed in surprise.

“Is it a good surprise?” Molly asked hopefully, and then watched as Otto started to unwrap. “Oh, I know…but you will!” She replied cheerfully, and all was revealed once Otto opened up the second gift. Hearing his awed reaction to it though was rather nice, and had Molly feeling rather hopeful that she had done a good job.

Really?” She asked, clasping her hands together as she peered at Otto with barely concealed hopefulness and excitement.

"Yeah.. not somethin' I'd usually wear... but they're kickass kicks."

The teen preferred slip ons for their ease of wear. However, for missions, high ankle shoes might be a better idea. Besides, socks would come in handy if he went to the antarctic again. No more frost bite.

Otto hesitated a moment. He wanted to thank Molly for her continued kindness, but he wasn't feeling that a simple thank you would cut it. With some awkward fidgeting and a lot of staring at the ground, the teen took a step forward and offered a hug.

"Th-...thanks.."
