So Hi there! I got an invitation to the guild and I'm really glad you guys want me around. It seems like a super fun guild! heart

My pseudonym is Mary. It's my policy not to use my real name on anything online, except on facebook. I like video games (mostly rpgs like Persona 3 and Kingdom Hearts), writing, coding html/css and buying art (which is the primary reason I joined Gaia in the first place).

I recently got hired as a writer over at Gaian Informer Magazine. I'm actually working on an article about Blackjack for the next issue. I LOVE gaia games like Tiles and Blackjack. My computer can't handle zOMG though, which makes me sad. crying

Heh. Anyway, I'm working on a bunch of projects but I poke around Gaia on and off all day as I take breaks. Right now, I'm about to work on a code for a Gaia Profile (because CSS is fascinating to me), so if you want, hit me up for chat. You can reply here or I'm almost always on Google Talk under xmarygreenmanx. As you can see, I'm pretty consistant with my usernames. XD

Have you posted in the Birthday thread yet or checked out the Welcome thread?

I, too, am consistent with usernames. Almost every site I use involves Irako of the Desert in the username somehow. Sometimes it's Irako no Sabaku, having been originally inspired by my pre-teen obsession with Gaara that I'm mostly over now.

What are your profile designs like?

I haven't checked out the Birthday or Welcome thread yet. I probably will in a bit! I'm working on a Sailor Moon profile now. As for other designs, I like sleek and simple. Crowded Profiles give me headaches.

I'm satisfied with the ones Gaia provides, really. I don't spend a lot of time looking at people's profiles unless I'm looking at their wishlist in order to gift them something, so I've never developed an aesthetic preference.

It looks like you do a good job, though. Is it hard?

Only if you try to do it without an image map. I've always been a language buff, so HTML is like my fourth language. CSS sort of ties into that. It's neat. When you get it to work, it's kind of like getting that perfect sentence when you're writing a story.
