Zippy was one person he hadn't seen in a long time! With his recent promotion behind him, Bazzite wanted to find his long ago partner-in-awesome to check in and see how he was doing. Darting from rooftop to rooftop, the captain was on the lookout for a certain purple haired Jedi. Maybe Zippy had promoted too! THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME. A few hours had passed without any sign of the boy and Bazzite was getting rather annoyed. How hard can this be? Didn't Chaos have enough power to make some kind of Facebook thing where everybody knew where everybody else was? Dammit. Slipping off the side of the building he was laying on, Bazzi landed in an awning with a huff, using it like a hammock. "This is dumb."

Zippy had, in fact, not been promoted. Something of a sore point for him. But then again, with as little disrespect the angry little boy had for authority these days, it was probably good he was flying under the radar. Not that he saw it that way.
He was still patrolling. A few recent fights had his blood oiling, and he wanted to get in a few more. Maybe he'd just beat a civilian senseless for the hell of it.
And then he noticed a familiar aura. Except it wasn't all that familiar anymore. Like he forgot it and it was slowly coming back to him, and it was a lot stronger.
He stopped under an awning with a weird dip in it and frowned. "Bazzite?"

SIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHBazzite snapped out his depressing mood for a moment when another aura popped up on his radar... and began speaking. Curious, Bazzi flipped over in his awning-turned-hammock (grunting and flailing all the way. Hammocks were a b***h to get out of!) and peeked over the edge to see who it was. The discovery was shocking and incredibly... Awesome. "ZIPPY! DUDE! ZIPPY! How you doin' man?!" he cried, oozing and flailing and ultimately flopping out of the hammock like a dead fish, landing on the ground below like nothing had happened. The captain quickly tackled little Zippy into a bear hug, a giant smile on his face. "Zippy! My main dude, I haven't seen you in like forever! Good to see you! You're still badass as ever, huh? Huh?"

Zippeite watched the unfolding scene as Bazzite tried his hardest to get out of the hammock, but he made no move to help, or even looked concerned in the least. He was a spectator, watching with one raised brow and a frown.
His frown stayed right there as the stiff little boy was engulfed in the bear hug. He didn't hug back.
"You're a captain," He said flatly, like he wasn't especially happy about it. And he wasn't. Lucifer Force I am soooo sorry I missed this orz

Bazzite noticed the stiffness and gave Zippy an odd look. "....yeah, didn't happen too long ago. This little minty General-Queen lady found me an'... well it hurt real bad but I'm still gettin' used to it. Dunno why she picked me but..." The captain ended that thought with a shrug. Zippy didn't seem impressed and Bazzi didn't know why. The boy tilted his head. "Hey Zippy, I can help train you an' stuff! Maybe then the minty lady'll come by an'... wiggle her fingers 'n stuff at you and make you a captain too!" Sounded like a brilliant plan in Bazzi's mind.

"Minty Lady," Zippeite's voice was still flat, but he was trying to let this all sink in, and trying his best not to be a total ball of rage over it.
"Training." His brow furrowed as he thought about it. He did need training, as much as he hated admitting it. But Bazzite had been granted more power, so in his head, there was absolutely no reason he wouldn't be a candidate. If there was any fairness in the world, he could achieve this too.
"Okay," He tried to loosen up a little. "What do we do?"

Bazzi nodded again. "Yeah, I don't remember her name but she's real short and has minty hair. She's got the power to promote people which is totally awesome if you ask me, but anyway," The captain loosened his shoulders and dropped into a fighting stance, the balanced one that Aubrey had taught him weeks ago. "We'll spar! Beni helped me out with it when I was a lieutenant. It taught me stuff and I guess that's what the minty lady was lookin' for? I dunno." Bazzi gave a shrug. "It's worth a shot! Sure helped me out so..." The captain waved Zippy forward. "C'mon. Come at me, bro~" he said with a smile. Carneli Zippyyyyyyy *hugs babbin 5ever* ;;

"Hm. Sparring." Zippeite frowned. It wasn't really a familiar concept. Though maybe it should've been, considering his sports background. You hit people you didn't like, and that was pretty much the main rule in his mind when it came down to it.
He saw the learning potential in it, though, in spite of him trying to wrap his brain around it. It was sort of like play fighting, he reasoned. It was probably the only way he could reason to actually come at Bazzite. It was too hard not to think of them as Cas and Johnny, two dumbasses sneaking out for cheeseburgers or something.
"Okay," He put up his fists, trying not to look totally ignorant in fighting stances, and took a pathetic excuse for a swing at Bazzi.

The captain easily back up to dodge the punch and frowned. He waved his hands in the air and found this to be a perfect opportunity to teach Zippy what he'd learned since really putting his mind to training. He tapped Zippy on the shoulders and moved the lieutenant's arms and legs to mimic the fighting stance he'd learned from Aubrey. "If you keep your legs wide, like this," explained the captain, nudging one of Zippy's legs a little to the left with his foot. "then your center of balance is lower and it's harder to knock you over! Cool, huh? I learned if from this chick at the gym not too far from here. She's teachin' classes if you wanna go! She teaches you how to fall and not hurt yourself. Stuff like that." With a nod, Bazzi smiled. "Okay so I'ma push on you. See how easy it is to stay upright?" he asked, giving Zippy a good shove to prove how well the stance worked. Or at least, that's what his hope was.

If Zippeite could frown harder, he totally did when Bazzite started molding his stance. Just another little twinge reminding him he didn't know anything.
"Yeah, got it," He muttered, trying not to react too much when he pushed him. It worked, but he didn't know if that made him feel better or not.
He rolled his shoulders and tried to get more comfortable in the stance before he clenched his fists again. There was a lot of anger festering in him, and while it wasn't Bazzi's fault at all, the motions they were going through was like daring him to pop.
"So let's spar then," He said, taking a much more serious swing at him this time.

Bazzite wasn't prepared for Zippy's immediate swing and the lieutenant's fist clocked him square in the jaw. The captain spat out a little blood and gave Zippy a half-proud, half-utterly-embarrassed look. "Well dayum Zippy, jeezus. If it's gonna be like thaaaaat..." The captain rushed at his subordinate, aiming to shove and then trip him. Zippy was being mean!Zippy was never mean! What was up with this??

Zippeite found a sick sort of satisfaction in seeing the captain spit after he clocked him.
Of course, then he was being shoved and all that satisfaction was replaced with crippling feelings of inferiority.
With no fighting skills to speak of, but a violent need to react, Zippy mostly flailed and hoped he hit him and not fall over on his a** or something as his balance was thrown off.

Oh the flailing got ugly. Fast. Bazzite recognized and reciprocated Flail-Fu wholeheartedly. He didn't understand why his little buddy was being so angry but the captain had to do something to defend himself. One clock to the face had him bleeding enough as it was. Even if Zippy was truly angry at him, Bazzi couldn't bring himself to bust out the shuriken. Not only would it be entirely unfair, he could cause some serious damage to the lieutenant. So, Flail-Fu it was. "Zippy, dude, what gives?!" Bazzi tried to blunt his own blows against the purple-haired boy by balling his hands up in his jacket sleeves. "Why're you so pissy?!"

Zippy took more than a few blows, but it was just pouring fuel on an already very unstable fire. He bounced back, but fists were still up and clenched.
"What gives?!" He spat. "You were the one that wanted to spar and show off. This was your idea!"
Though Zippy clearly didn't understand the line which wasn't to be crossed. All he knew, at least from his perception, was that Bazzi had gotten rewarded. Bazzi had things better than him, just like always. Just like everyone. And then he came over here and shoved him and told him to come at him. And now he was mad?
The more he tried to reason it out, the further he twisted it instead, and it's only purpose mad him madder.
So he just ran at him to take another swing.

"Dude, I was just tryin' to help you get the minty lady's attention so she'll make you a captain too!" came the retort and Zippy swung at him again. Bazzi panicked and grabbed the boy and they went toppling into a pile on the ground. A slap-fight dogpile. Bazzi tried to hold the lieutenant down and see what he could do to get Zippy to cool off. "Dude! Chill! Chill pill time! I'll get you a burger or somethin'! Just calm down!" SLAP. "OW DUDE THAT HURTS!" SLAPSLAPslappityslapslapSLAPSLAP!
