Sophie had found a spare room; one that she believed had been empty for quite some time. It wasn't far from the undead dorms and she believed it would make the perfect location for the club she was considering starting. So perfect, in fact, that she was already nestled into a corner, knitting away as she ran over a few ideas. Around her was a sketch book, various pencils and a few crumpled pieces of paper. It was because of those pieces of paper that the undead ghoul was knitting - quite furiously, actually. She couldn't seem to find any inspiration as of late and it was.. really putting a damper on her spirits.

Which was the reason behind the Sewing Club. It was something Sophie had considered. Having like minded creeple around might get her creative juices flowing. The only problem was she had absolutely no idea how to start it and was wracked with nervous and worries that it would fail and she'd be the laughing stock of the school. Her knitting needles clacked together furiously and Sophie cursed as she realised she missed a stitch. She threw the needles at the wall with a little scream.

Wandering down the school halls and attempting to get a better feel for things, the demon was glad to find a hallway that wasn't as crowded where he could begin to relax. Being around people made him edgy, and it only made him yearn to touch people more, which would equal Bad Things if he did.

Of course, Bad Things were naturally good to a Gancanagh, but he tried to fight who he was, who his father was trying to mold him into. Here he could be himself with no one at home watching or judging, and here he could actually make friends --

His footsteps halted as he heard a small scream, and he walked to the room he heard it from. Sitting down was a ghoul he didn't recognize, and glancing around told him the evident source of her frustrations.

Bending down to pick up the needles, Marosa glanced over them to make sure they weren't broken before walking over to drop them gently in her lap.

"Are ye alrigh', lassie?" He couldn't help but ask, seeing this ghoul in such obvious distress.

Sophie simply stared as the boil walked into the room, bent down to pick up her needles and dropped them in her lip. Eyes as big as saucers, she didn't even feel them land or their wait after. All she knew was that she was alone. With someone she didn't know. Were it not for the wall at her back, she might have scrambled away. She stayed silent for a few moments, hands finding the needles that the boil had returned and fiddling with them as if they were something she'd never seen before - as if they were the most interesting thing in the room. More interesting than her.

And then her mother's voice popped into her head. 'Make lots of friends, Sophie. I want to hear all about them!'

A sigh escaped parted lips and the ghoul pressed a hand to her forehead, eyes closing as she massaged it gently. No matter what, she couldn't let her mother down. She was just too.. She knew what buttons to press to make Sophie feel incredibly guilty. So the ghoul looked up at the boil and gave a soft smile. "Sorry," she started, voice a little hoarse and soft causing her to clear her throat before continuing. "Just frustrated."

"Quite understandable." Marosa nodded, indicating the spot next to her. "May oi sit?" The fey gave her a wan smile, glancing to the knitting needles as his wings flittered. "Oi've allus wanted ta learn, just ne'er had the time."

Hoping she wouldn't mind, he sat down, spotting a crumpled piece of paper in front of him. He reached for it, curiosity piqued. "Aye... wot's dis?"

Sophie didn't object to the boil sitting. She gave a small nod. It wasn't her dorm so she couldn't really say no, could she? The ghoul did, however, shift awkwardly in her position against the wall. Just because she was willing to try and make a friend didn't mean she had to feel comfortable about it right away. She wasn't ready to give the boil her life story but she was at least willing to make idle conversation. At the mention of knitting, the ghoul perked up. "It's easy once you get the hang of it. A bit fiddly, but worth it."

She looked at the piece of paper and crinkled her nose in distaste. It was a design for a dress and while it may look expertly designed and drawn to an untrained eye, to Sophie it was incomplete and lacking something. It was horrid and she was ashamed the boil had laid his eyes upon it. "That," she started with a sigh. "Is three days work for nothing." Once more, her hand reached up and pressed itself to her forehead, rubbing it softly. She found herself doing this quite often lately; an unconscious reaction to frustration. "It's supposed to be a dress but it's horrid."

"Awe, it's naught tae horrid." Marosa murmured, smoothing the page out on the ground. "Aye, right here, could add a few o'dose flowers, roight 'cross teh neck down ta teh chest." His finger traced over the drawing, indicating where she could make the change. "If ye want. S'a nice design, and oi dinnae tink ye should give up on 'er. Good clothing takes a'while." Smiling, the fey held the drawing out to her to take.

"Moi name's Marosa. Mebbe oi could help, if'n yer interested. Oi tink yer talented."

Sophie watched as he pointed out the parts on the drawing he thought could use fixing. She tapped her chin thoughtfully and pictured it in her mind. It could work. It wasn't her usual taste, but it was still lovely. She pulled a pencil from behind her ear and sketched out the flowers onto the design, a mixture of roses and tiny orchids. She'd decide on colouration later when she had more resources at her disposal.

"Thank you," she said, giving a smile to the boil and a little blush. "My name's Sophie." She paused for a moment. "I think that was the only thing that was really bothering me.." Another pause, this time a little more meaningful. "Well.. Actually," the ghoul's eyes scanned the room they were in and she shrunk back a little. "I was thinking of starting a sewing club," she explained in a half whisper. "But I'm a little.. shy."

Kanth
Sorry this is so late. ;-; Stupid Christmas.

"Ye could stay shy, and still run yer club, aye?" Marosa replied cheerfully, pointing at the drawing again. "Ye dinnae need tae be any'un else but yerself." His head fell on his chest as he took in a breath, knowing full well that he couldn't take his own advice. What a hypocrite.

"If yer ever stuck again, jes look around. Deer's beuty everywhere, and in anythin'." He couldn't help but grin. "Oi'm not really good at dis. But I kin see beuty where et's s'posed ta be." He pointedly looked at her, then back at the paper. "Der's inner beuty, too. Oi tink ye has it." He tapped the paper again.

Her head tilted slightly. Well, she supposed she could stay the same and have her club, too. Truly, fashion and sewing were the only things she wasn't shy about. She could talk for days on end. Or at least, sometimes she could. There were rare cases where Sophie found herself mumbling and fumbling more than actually articulating sentences. This conversation was somewhere in between. And she wasn't entirely sure how well she'd go with an entire club full of students. But there was only one way to find out, wasn't there?

"You're right," she said suddenly, returning back to reality after a trip into her own thoughts. "I suppose it wouldn't be so bad, would it?" A small smile crossed her lips. "Thank you. If there's ever anything you need; tailoring, mending or even an outfit made up I'm your ghoul."

"Aye. Oi'll keep tat in moind." He smiled, glancing around the room again. "Was tis where ye were tinkin' of?" The faerie stood up, wings fluttering behind him as he looked around the room, his expression stoic but kind. "Eet's rat'her roomy, metinks." Reaching up, Marosa tucked a strand of hair behind his ear, turning once again to Sophie.

"If'n ye need any more advice, oi kin try tae help. Oi'm naut verrah good at it, tae be honest." He shrugged, grinning sheepishly. "Oi jes speak from teh hart, is'all."

Sophie gave a brief nod. "I think this is pretty perfect for what I had in mind. Hopefully I'm allowed to use it." Pushing herself up off the ground, she took the needles and her wool in her hand and stretched. She felt refreshed and relieved. Perhaps it wasn't such a terrible idea after all.

"Advice from the heart seems to be the best kind. You really helped me. Thanks." She couldn't stop smiling. Things were beginning to fall into place. Or at least they seemed to be.

"Oi wish ye luck," The faerie stated, fluttering his wings as he glanced to the door. "Oi'm verrah sorreh, but oi should prolly check me room." Inclining his head to her, he gave a wave to her as he started to head towards the door.

"Look me up anytime ye need help, aye?"
