The sun was just starting to set over the distant waterline, casting a reddish orange glow over the ever lapping waves surrounding Sidekick Academy. You were off minding your own business, doing whatever you normally do during your spare time in the evenings; be that studying, grabbing a bite to eat, hanging out with some friends or running around campus. However, your leisure time was abruptly interrupted as the Academy's warning sirens began blaring to a near deafening level! You had never actually heard the security system go off, although you were well versed in what to do in case of an emergency. While most students immediately retreated to their dorm rooms or began to file into the auditorium like you were always instructed to in case of this sort of situation, you and a few other like-minded individuals headed off in the exact opposite direction. After all, what were heroes, (or heroes in training...) for? Determined to find out what was going on for yourselves without waiting around with everyone else like sheep, you unite and your small group stops momentarily to consider the best course of action. Where do you and your companions decide to head off to next?
1) Everything looks completely chaotic- it doesn't seem likely to you that anyone knows what's going on. You figure it would be a waste of time to depend on anything other than your own pair of eyes, opting to search around campus for the source of the disturbance yourself. If you could find somewhere high and get to a better vantage point, maybe you could scope out whatever was going on.
2) It made the most sense to head on over to Sidekick Academy's headquarters and try to see if there was any official explanation there. After all, if anyone knew what was going on, it would be the Founders and the full fledged heroes, right? If you worked quickly, perhaps you could arrive there before any other students, getting a one up on them and potentially impressing your mentors...!
3) You spot one of the Academy's teachers, Doppelgang, speaking to a group of students in a frenzy. Waving his arms around wildly as he spoke, it seemed like the kids surrounding him were focused intensely on his words. You suggest heading over to see if the shape shifter had any useful information, seeing as he's the only adult anyone can seem to find at the moment.
Feel free to rp your characters meeting and grouping up however you see fit, but don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 14th, roughly around this time. Have your votes in by then~ Remember to make your character's choice clear and in bold, using the number listed above somewhere in your post! If you do not, your vote won't be counted.

Around the holiday season, Rainbow was seized with a sudden fervor that caused things like all night baking sessions, Christmas sweater knitting marathons, and a tendency to break into hysterics over the latest decorating crisis, but even in this somewhat shaky state of mind, she was still able to make time for the important things, like studying with her best (only) friend besides Nyancat. Every evening, despite the fact that she was frantically knitting reindeers onto socks in the meantime, she tried to help boost Jack's grade point average, which was a task that was daunting enough without the added stress of holiday hysteria, but she needed somebody to help her eat all the gingerbread, and while Nyancat just puked it up later, Jack was an easy victim. She had already forced three sweaters and a bundt cake on him.
The stress of the holidays and trying to get Jack to study was pressing, but however did not stop Rainbow from leaping to action once the first alarms began wailing over campus, dropping her knitting so suddenly that it caused Nyancat to yowl. "Alarm!" she yelped, grabbing first Jack, and second nyancat. "Bring your book and we can study in the auditorium. Just because the school may be in danger, doesn't mean we should shirk, especially so close to finals! The possibility that we may be killed shouldn't dampen our enthusiasm, because there's also the chance that we might not be killed, especially if we follow protocol. Plus my ethics of vigilantism book says that you shouldn't bring weapons to a situation which may not call for them, but bringing ordinary items which can be weaponized can potentially avoid an awkward situation." She consulted a mental checklist and then dashed off, coming back in a moment with a small first aid kit. "Of course, being prepared in other ways is also important, especially for heroes with more passive powers, such as myself, who tend to function as more of a 'support' figure for a superhero team." The air quotes around 'support' were included.
She hesitated for a moment, seized with sudden internal conflict, and glanced at the unreasonably large pile of gingerbread cookies on the table. "Do you think that maybe they'll want gingerbread in the auditorium? I still have four more batches to give away." For someone who had hardly any social life to speak of, Rainbow was vastly overprepared for the holiday season.

Jack, meanwhile, had celebrated two Cran Christmases previously. The winter festivities here were vastly different from Upper Sewit, which was predictable enough, but he'd reasoned he knew what was coming this year-- bright lights, really terrible music, and a jolly obese man on posters. He was right on the spot, for the most part, though he didn't expect to be immobile from eating too much.
He was slouching lethargically on the couch when the alarm sounded. Jack groaned audibly when Rainbow immediately dropped her things and paced into action, as any effort to stand up at the moment would probably convince his body that retching was, in fact, a good idea, even better than staring blankly at the sprawled out homework rested on his lap. As a result, instead of doing anything remotely useful, Jack covered his ears with his beanie and stared innocently at the girl piping sentences around him, which only illicited in him shoving his work onto the couch.
"Bring your book and we can study in the auditorium."
Jack smeared a hand across his face. "God, no."
"...doesn't mean we should shirk, especially so close to finals! The possibility that we may be killed..."
"Ergh." He latched onto the edge of the couch and practically dragged himself off of it. Jack slouched tiredly and picked up one book (out of the three), stared at the cover, then threw it back onto the couch.
"... that we might not be killed, especially if we follow protocol..."
Jack sat on the floor.
"...situation which may not call for them, but bringing ordinary items which can be weaponized..."
"Weapons. Right," Jack pulled out his deck of cards, and was able to summon magic in a flash-- he'd absorbed that much from Intro Magic. It was a tad unfortunate that the regalia transported his previous clothing somewhere into the ether for later, though, as he was awfully susceptible to the cold, something that Rainbow's sweater did fairly well at fending off. Jack shivered a bit.
"...Do you think that maybe they'll want gingerbread in the auditorium? I still have four more batches to give away."
"Maybe... not," he stood up, "Hey. Look, Rainbow, there's going to be awful lag going to the auditorium. I don't want to listen to school poetics like we did with the genderblend thing, yeah?"
He nodded his head over to the back door, "C'mon."

"Genderbend, Jack," corrected Rainbow primly. "A genderblend would be more of a wake up as a man AND a woman thing. See, this is why you have to pay attention! If you fall behind in modern English classes, you might cause a lack of communication and possibly endanger your team!" The genderbend thing brought up mortifying memories however, so she blushed and bit her lip. It was easier to pick at Jack's grammar than think about it.
"Well, I'm sure that our peers'll assemble in an orderly fashion, I mean, there is a protocol for this sort of crisis." Jack's disinterest was clear even to her though, and the thought that he might slip off by himself worried her. Jack was her study partner and all, but he wasn't terribly conscientious even with her around to provide a shining example of scholarly fortitude. In fact, she sometimes worried that he might even be a delinquent.
With this in mind, she supposed it was her civic duty to babysit him. "Well, I suppose-" she started reluctantly, fussing with her first aid kit, "I suppose that it would be more ambitious of us to take the initiative and enquire about the nature of the problem directly."
Now she was picking up speed, and her rationalizations came quicker. "I mean, I have you here, but if someone else who has passive powers and hasn't had my combat training gets caught alone with whatever caused the alarm, they could need saving! And if we look for the teachers while we're at it, we'll still be following authority..."
Once she got started it was exceedingly easy to convince herself that she wasn't just afraid that Jack would get bored and leave her by herself. "Okay, let's go! Just let me change into my costume." She took her civilian clothes off and folded them neatly, stowing them under the table. Unlike Jack, Rainbow's outfit was nonmagical, but her Grandpa had taught her to wear it under her clothes at all times.
And then he had made her stand in freezing water so she would be prepared to wear it anywhere.

"H-hey-- It was an honest mistake! I don't even understand the difference, I mean, you didn't feel any less a girl when you were a boy, right? I sure didn't. So they're almost the same thing! Or close enough." Jack remained a bit pouty but agreed in earnest while Rainbow analyzed his, well, alternative plan. "Good idea, right? Right. And knowing the queer folk here, we won't be the only ones headin' away from the auditorium." He was starting to get a bit excited about the ordeal, and he flashed a cocksure grin at Rainbow before rushing to the exit. Sparing one glance over his shoulder to see if Rainbow was following with, Jack noticed that she was busy sorting out of her civilian get-up, and immediately looked away.
She has a costume underneath that, you miserable excuse of a scamp.

There wasn't a particular amount of holiday cheer in the dorm room belonging to one "Rhea Mathews." The first winter season away from her family--away from Ronth in general--had the girl in a bit of shell shock. Such as she referred to it. She refused to acknowledge it as homesickness. There'd already been a few nights she'd spent in very one-sided logical arguments with her cards, pointing out how one required a home to have homesickness. That place most certainly did not qualify. Victor blowing up cards near the neighbors' decorations, or trashing local tree displays had never been her idea of fun. Her mother and father were always overbooked in their shows at the casino. Christmas Day had only ever found her sipping coffee and watching the news to see how seemingly everyone else celebrated the holiday. Regardless of how much she missed her mother's perfume or Senior's cigar scent...
A few knickknacks sat around her desk to add a heavy dose of conflict to her mood. Stuffed snowmen, miniature Christmas books, even a plastic Christmas tree that light up with the help of batteries. She didn't trust having even a vaguely living one in her room. But she'd taken them on a whim in an outing to the mainland a week or so prior. Simple props as she undertook a half-baked project: explaining the holidays to Violet. One book in particular was arranged in front of her, positioned over her class notes she should likely be studying with. Recipes stared back at her from the pages. They might as well have been alien hieroglyphs for all the good they were doing her. Cooking to the Bekket family had consisted of throwing things together and hoping for minor food poisoning at the best, pestering Senior to make something actually edible, or just... eating out.
Dahlia wasn't even sure what that difference was between a teaspoon and a tablespoon. Spoons were spoons. What did it matter which one was used to measure salt for cookies?
What were the chances Vi had any cooking skills viable with Earth food? Likely still better than the human was. This thought settled in her that she'd have to try and... make... some sort of food object as a test run. Actual shopping might be involved though, and that was such a bore. But if whatever she tried to make came out alright, then least then she could have that to share with Vi next ti--
The alarm had her jumping almost to her feet. The acrobat was at least able to grab hold of the arms of the chair to keep herself from tumbling back down. Or onto the floor, as her semi-awkward position was liable to dump her. Pushing herself both out from under the desk that had trapped her legs, and pushing back on the chair that had caught her feet, she clamped her hands over her ears for a moment.
This place had an alarm system? While that made sense, there was a difference between half-heartedly listening to the directions during classes and actually hearing the thing going off.
The cook book was left forgotten sprawled across her desk, shaking hands quickly tugging on her costume and discard the lounge attire she'd had on. She'd been here for a few months now, and she'd never heard the alarms go off. Depositing her deck of cards into a pocket of her jacket, and making sure the mask was as secure as it could get--she even took a moment to apply the spade marking on her face, if only to give herself the routine to try and calm down a little. Her pulse was erratic. A mantra of "Nothing exploded, it's alright; nothing exploded, it's alright; nothing exploded, it's alright" was looping in her skull.
It didn't help much. In an attempt to distract herself, she picked up the plastic Christmas tree from her desk. The top of the tree fell off with a pop as she picked it up, the bottom (the trunk and a few bottom "branches") falling to the desk in a clatter. A bright white light sat in the center of the trunk, and it was then she realized the colored lights across the tree were simply thin colored plastic that allowed the light through. Grumbling at how cheap things were around Cran--this would never happen to something made in Ronth--she turned off the light in the tree trunk and pocketed the two pieces. She could show them to Vi later if she figured out how to put them back together...
Swallowing, rubbing at her shaking hands, Black Jack made her way through the halls. Passing only a few other students returning to their rooms, she searched for a particular head of green hair. When none was located, she continued down to the first floor. At least, she was pretty sure Vi wouldn't be in her dorm at this time of day. Surely she would have heard the alien knocking at her door if she had been... wouldn't she? Where would the other girl head? With her curiosity... perhaps to get answers? Find one of the adults? The heroes?
It was the only idea she could come up with, and as her boots hit the last few steps before hitting the ground floor, she glanced to where the various empty rooms--study rooms? She wasn't entirely sure, she never exactly used them--were. Should she search around more for Vi, or just... head... hm. She couldn't exactly get into the Watchtower, could she?
"I think I know a shortcut to headquarters from here, so follow closely."
Black Jack's position near the exit of the building, arms crossed while she tapped a gloved finger against her chin, had placed her in closer proximity to a few other students than she'd bothered to pay attention to. While the conversation the two were having was unknown to her, the bright red and gold costume of one had certainly caught her eye. Both for how nice it looked, and how familiar...
"...Oh, it's you again." Perhaps the only name she'd actually remember so easily, if only due to her own alias. "Not Red-or-Gold-Jack." Her dark painted lips might have had a bit of a teasing smiling to them. Even if her eyes were a little wide for a moment. Was she shocked to see her-- er. Him. Him. Right. The genderswap. Still. It wasn't like she'd anticipated another run in... aha. Her eyes remained focused on him, if only to keep from a literal one from happening again.
"Heading back to your dorm then?" Other students she'd seen had been. Evidence to how whatever he'd actually said to his companion hadn't even crossed the "eavesdropper's" ears.
(( Dahlia's going with option 2~ Also, in case it isn't clear, her "flashlight" is the broken Christmas tree o3o;;b Works just like one, just felt like being goofy with it xD; ))

Jaxson being rather new to the school, did the one thing he liked best, go figure out where all the ladies were at. With his hands in his pockets, he was walking down the hallway when the alarm went off. It was ear splitting pain, like nails to a chalkboard. His first reaction was to destroy the damn system nearby. Boy was he tempted to, but he didn't.No his attention was caught by voices not to far away from him.
Two sounded much like females voices actually. Score, maybe it was three girls looking for a guy to protect them. The very thought made a smile form across his lips.
Rounding the corner, towards the exit of the building he stops when he does indeed spy what looks to be two females and a male maybe? Looking him over, he only frowns when he doesn't see what he was looking for to indicate this one was female. Yup, he was indeed male. Well damn his luck, why couldn't it be three ladies? Oh well, two was better then one. And beside he only needed to pay attention to the ladies right? Without another thought, he makes his way towards the group as he gives them a nod "Yo, can I join you peeps?" he gives a smile to both of the ladies, then a nods to the male once more. Had he actually heard they were heading back, well this would make things much for easier right? Might as well tag along with them, but the view would be nice.
"You all heading back to the dorms as well from what I heard?" pulling a hand from his pocket, he rubs at the back of his neck for a moment before stuffing it once more into the pocket of his pants.
((Jaxson agrees with the group and going with number 2.))

By the time you managed to reach Sidekick Academy's headquarters, there was already quite a crowd of students gathered around the entrance. The buzz of their confused, frightened and otherwise excited conversation was almost loud enough to drown out the alarm still wailing throughout the school grounds. Before long a very familiar face popped out from behind the sliding door, red billowing cape trailing behind his impressive figure. The Captain, main man of the Founders and every little boy's favourite hero, stepped outside and lifted a large hand to calm the crowd of students he stood before. It didn't do much help, considering the siren continued to screech in the background, but the children obeyed nonetheless. "You really all should have gone back to your dorm rooms or the auditorium," he began, rubbing the back of his head lightly. In the windows behind him, you could see many of the Academy's staff members scampering around, a few in an obviously heated debate. "I know you all just want to help, but we can't risk putting any students in danger, y'know? So I'm just going to have to repeat that you get yourselves somewhere safe." He paused for a moment, struggling with the several dozens of wide, expectant eyes locked on him. "Don't worry, this is all just one big misunderstanding- remember the crash last year with the alien students from Nova Academy? It seems like our messages finally reached their home planets, but a tad fractured... It'll be dealt with in no time!" Flashing one of his famous toothy grins and a thumbs up, the Captain bid a brief farewell, once more instructing everyone to get indoors before slipping back into Sidekick Academy's HQ.
1) You were not going to just pack up and quit so easily, even if one of the Founders had told you to. You really, really wanted to help. You were ready! You could do this! It was your time to shine, to prove yourself- you were a hero, after all! The crowd before SA's headquarters slowly dispersed, leaving only you and your comrades. You tell your friends that you want to march right on over to the sliding glass door, then proceed to knock and bang on it until someone answers and lets you help out. Might not have been the most graceful of tactics, but you were positive there was something you could do to help out.
2) A misunderstanding, huh? Well, you were confident enough that you could handle that much. You suggest to your friends that you disobey your superiors and sneak off campus, instead opting to locate the aliens and explain the situation in person. Who else better than a bright eyed young student that attended school with their alien offspring? It didn't seem like the adults were doing anything proactive anyway, so you might as well take matters into your own hands!
3) The man has spoken! Capt told you to get indoors, so you were going to get indoors- you couldn't ignore a direct order from the bossman. You suggest that your group heads over to the auditorium- it was on the opposite side of campus, and you weren't exactly feeling up to walking it alone. The school grounds were eerily empty, as most students were already safely tucked away indoors. Hopefully soon you would be too...
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 17th, roughly around this time. "...Oh, it's you again."
It was so close to freedom from the study rooms for Jack when he heard another voice from behind him. It was, well, too succinct to be anything Rainbow had said (hm), so he turned around partway for curiosity, uncertain who was addressing who. The blaring alarm wailing above them still made it difficult to identify anyone he knew from just a voice, anyways.
Identifying Black Jack came easier than was expected, really, but that mask and spade mark made things considerably simple. He relaxed a bit, as being unable to identify her voice was fairly reasonble.
"Black Jack. Hi," he glanced at Rainbow once before letting slip the rest of their plan, "No, actually, we're not. To be frank, going to the auditorium sounds like a blithering waste of time, so Rainbow and I are heading to Headquarters. For answers. So if you're interested, stick close, I know a shortcut--"
"Yo, can I join you peeps?"
Jack bit his lip and swung the door open fully out of patience, though he spared a glance at the pink-haired youth with an eagerless frown.
"You all heading back to the dorms as well from what I heard?"
"If all of you are so keen on eavesdropping, do it well," Jack stepped through the threshold, now, "We're going to headquarters for answers. Or, you know, the cab's on its way to the dorms, too. Follow if you want to."
- - -
The cab of four did not, in fact, pass by the dorms, as Jack was somewhat lost on his way to Headquarters, not that he'd tell any of the other three. He reasoned that familiar landmarks and reaching them was in fact not being lost at all, and for the umpteenth time he reassured himself that they were, in fact, going in the right direction, and that maybe he miscalculated the time to get there to be fifteen minutes, not, well, five.
His own mental map of the Academy was more than intriciate at this point, though the scurrying of students here and there made it easy to get lost and redirected by the fray. By the fourteenth minute of the quartet's venture, though, Jack was finally able to straighten his back and walk with more confidence, as he was with utmost certainty that Headquarters would be right around the corner.
"There! It's headquarters!"
Jack eagerly poked his head out from the hallway, and his enthusiasm was immediately glossed over by something similar to disappointment. There was an ocean of other students there waiting before them, which showed that this idea wasn't as novel as he'd thought. He sighed.
"Crowded beyond reckoning already," he looked back at the group, "Well, into the fray we go. Shoulders to shoulders; we're goin' for front seating, yeah?"
When push came to shove, Jack was wiry enough to shove through the crowd with relative ease, and was apathetic enough about the situation to feel completely guiltless for it. He only stopped trying to squeeze in through the crowd when Cap arrived at the very front of Headquarter doors. Jack was staring nearly agape until the man started to attempt an explanation, which left room for a lot of sour discontentment.
He was only at the middle of crowd, by now, and he looked back to see if Rainbow, Black Jack, and the pink-haired boy were behind him. In all fairness, Jack was only squeezed between the middle of the crowd while Cap started talking, "Captain? I'm not sure how many of us were here for the, uh, Nova Academy whatsit, but that was a sore way to explain things-- hey!"
Jack chased after Cap's red cape like a scampering mouse, only to be met by the gleaming glass entrance of headquarters. He pounded his fists against it once.
"That was piss-awful!"

"Look at all these rulebreakers!" Rainbow said indignantly as they approached headquarters, briefly forgetting that they were breaking the rules themselves. "Protocol is there for a reason!" She didn't have long to be indignant though, as Jack began to push his way through the crowd, and it was all she could do to hold onto his hand to keep herself from losing him. She reached out instinctively behind her to grab one of the other two rookies who had followed them over, hoping quietly to herself that it wasn't the frightening looking girl who grabbed on. Jack might act like a delinquent, but she definitely looked like one!
At Cap's announcement, Rainbow felt ashamed that she had gone along with Jack. If it was a diplomatic misunderstanding, it was best to get everyone out of harm's way after all, and they should really go to the auditorium. Whatever alien dialect the Nova Academy students spoke, neither she nor Jack would be likely to be able to translate. Her grandpa didn't believe in foreigners and Jack was barely learning to master Modern English, for heaven's sake.
"Come on Jack, he's right, we really can't he- HEY!" He was off again, trailing Rainbow behind him as she tried to dig in her heels and drag him to a halt. "Jack, he doesn't owe us an explanation!" Unfortunately, Jack was still bigger than her, and so even though she had combat training, she still wasn't much use.
"Ooh! If we get detention for this, I'll-- I'll--!!"
"I'll be super mad at you!!"

What your whole 'bang on the door' tactic lacked in, well, tact, it made up for in effectiveness. While nobody responded to your knocking for a good thirty seconds or so, it was difficult for the Academy staff to ignore your constant barraging through the transparent glass. Soon another familiar face- well, facemask- stepped through the sliding doors, arms crossed over his chest in an disapproving manner. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Binary hissed, eyes narrowing on each of the students before him. "Didn't Capt tell you to go back to your rooms?" Your group takes a moment to briefly explain that you'd like to contribute, in which Binary scoffs at in response. "Think you're tough little rookies then, huh?" He falls silent for a moment, and you expect the worst... "I'll tell you what. We're trying to find the alien commander- a real big bugger, cams caught him somewhere on the front lines. Sent some guys lookin' already, but no one's managed to find him yet. Wanna give it a shot?"
1) You tell Binary yes a thousand times- you're the kids for the job! This was the chance you were looking for. Twitching for action, you get what little info Binary had left and vote to dash off into the jungle where the sloth-like alien was last seen. Besides, it's not like he'd hurt a bunch of kids- right?
2) You accept, albeit a hesitantly. It seemed like a bit of a daunting task, didn't it? Still, you didn't want to disappoint Binary! You motion that instead of running off into the jungle, you stay safely by the Academy walls and see if the commander shows up.
3) You're not so sure about this anymore. Their commander? Really? That seemed like maybe too big of a fish to fry... You wither down in front of the Founder, decline politely and apologize, then retreat. You'd find some other way to help!
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 20th, roughly around 3am. Black Jack had given Jack and Rainbow--oh so that was her? Okay. She should be able to remember the name, but she'd at least have the face now--some instant points for their plan. It was... akin to her own, though admittingly with a bit more solid direction. She barely had the chance to open her mouth to confirm she'd accompany them when another boy walked in. The pink hair and... pink tattoos?
Oh god.
Dahlia's blood ran cold for a moment. His name escaped her, perhaps for the better, but the face, the tattoos... He was from Ronth. She'd encountered him under a different alias while her family had been conducting one of their various cons. Dark-haired and without contacts, it occurred to her she likely was without any form of... alterations back then. Only a name and likely a sheepish persona separated her. Keeping her eyes trained away from the brightly colored youth she sent a silent prayer his memory was as lazy as his language.
It went without saying, least at that point, she followed the other two to the Headquarters. Even if she had to give Jack a few uneasy looks in their trek. How well did he really know the route? At least he got them there. "Is the front really necessary?" Her question was more of a groaning whisper, either unheard or flatly ignored when it seemed a domino effect was set off.
Jack walked on into the crowd, Rainbow--...what had she just said about rulebreakers and protocol? Oh god no not one of those types...--grabbed a hold of... well. Black Jack. Who was about as pleased with that as likely the brunette might be herself. She'd balked at the grasp around her wrist, but the tug forward dragged her right on into the crowd. At that point, the press of bodies around her set the girl into a small panic, free hand grabbing hold of Rainbow's forearm in a more reflexive means to hold to something even vaguely familiar.
In retrospect, it was likely on through luck she didn't grab onto the pink-haired boy.
That likely wouldn't have ended well.
"This is completely unnecessary! We could hear fine from out there--" Her hissing complaint was stuck in her throat when the hero in red emerged, even if his attempted speech caused her to bristle a little. More aliens? Like Violet? What messages to their home planets?
Could Violet... could Violet be... leaving?
The icy sensation through Dahlia's chest forced her eyes shut, throat tight as she swallowed. Rainbow likely experienced a tight squeeze around her arm before Black Jack released her entirely, pulling her arm away from the other girl. She wanted to find Vi. She had to find Vi.
Jack and Rainbow heading towards the glass door was fine by her. She wanted answers to where these aliens were. Of course, it seemed nothing would be without its minor distractions...
"There's an alarm going off and you're worried about detention?" Black Jack couldn't begin to hide the dumbfounded expression on her face, staring agape at Rainbow. Detention. This girl was worried about detention? "Do you realize how absurd that sounds?"
Pressing her hand briefly to her forehead, a glare peered out as Binary came to... more or less scold them. "...if he'd given us proper explanations, we likely wouldn't need to be here," she grumbled. Her mood was in slight fluctuation. Prickly, uneasy, nervous... the growing hostility was coupled with how she clutched her arm around her middle. And had been since first hearing about the "messages to home." Just find Vi. There had to be a misunderstanding somewhere. Would the alien really just leave without saying anything..?
What Binary said came in as second-hand static through her brain. Until he said the 'a' word. Then he had her full attention for the moment. Find a commander, huh?
Find him, find Vi. Dahlia had her goal, and had her means to obtain her goal so far as she could see. Deal.
"Where is he?" She wouldn't speak for the others, but her voice was raised and clipped. "What information do you have on him?" Really, she didn't care what the other three were going to do. Help wasn't required here.
(( Dahlia's going with a version of option one. ))

By the god, Jaxson hope these people weren't really worried about detention. Shaking his head, he listens to the man who seem to have all the answers before he glance backwards towards the girl in black. She was nice looking, but seem familiar for a brief moment to him. Turning his dark pink eyes away from her, he stuffs his hands into his pockets just has he heard something about the front line.
Wait aliens.....front line?
What the hell did he just walk himself into?
At the girl in black words, Jaxson couldn't believe what he was about to say. This was a girl, going out into a dangerous place, s**t he couldn't allow her to go alone. If she got hurt, or taken, he would be made at himself for not defending a lady.
"Is there anything you could tell us, on how to even get close to this guy, if we find him?"
((Jaxson is following Dollie and going with one.))

Binary lets out a small chortle at your teams enthusiasm, although you're unsure if it's a good thing or not. He proceeds to recall what little information he had, whipping out a high tech looking tablet and pulling up a map of the school grounds. Gesturing and pointing at the locations the security cameras had picked up the monolithic alien leader at, he informed you that those spottings were around twenty minutes ago. He isn't of much help past that- the Founder obviously had other things on his mind, and bluntly excused himself before returning inside. Well, now what?
1) Heading in the direction of the last location he was seen, the northwest part of the jungle, made the most sense to you. It was some time ago, but hopefully your paths would cross.
2) Suggest heading to the northern wall of the Academy. He was obviously going south, presumably to the school- so if you waited around he'd be sure to show up, right?
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 25th, roughly around 4am. Have your votes in by then~ Remember to make your character's choice clear and in bold, using the number listed above somewhere in your post! If you do not, your vote won't be counted.
