(Sorry for the delay, guys. I posted without being aware of some things. Thanks, Dizzy! <3)

Anyone who claimed change came without blood lied. Keller never promised them - well, him - that it would come easy and with little loss to them and Kr'stof, being a pragmatic if dramatic man, never thought it would come to the extents it did. Flat on his back next to the lake, one arm thrown over his eyes and the other tapping a quick tattoo against the ground.

It'd been some time since the Revolution. Things changed, time passed, he no longer woke up each night remembering the faces of people he killed or J'nas and his voice ringing in Krissy's head. The silverrider and his dragon faded from Xenth's memory every so often, disappearing until Kr'stof had a nightmare. That came as a quiet comfort.

Didn't mean he wanted to take off his gloves and see the hands that stabbed at his former lover. He pouted and sat up, drew his legs up to his chest. The green rider tucked his nose into the crease between his two knees, dark eyes baleful on the water as he pouted.

Xenth paused from her splashing in the lake, hide glistening in the mid-day sun with water. You're being quite the idiot. She informed him with a derisive snort, her large eyes a cool blue. The dragon turned to the water and in a most dignified manner, belly flopped into it.

"I'm not being an idiot, precious. Do stop mocking me." the greenriders voice came muffled against his pants, dark eyes glancing up at her from over the curves of his knees. "I'm quite allowed to pout over being upset when committing a murder."

I could kill you with my mind, you know. Xenth snorted and shoved her head into the water, green frame wriggling. She stretched out, poked her head into the water with a burst of bubbles from her nose. Honestly it isn't as if he gave you much of a choice. Stop dwelling, think about things to come.

"I'm allowed to be sad as well, my sweet." Kr'stof mumbled. With his hands off the ground, he started tapping an idle rhythem on his shin instead. L'roh would've just smacked him on the back of the head and told him to move on or offered a shoulder to clutch at. She put up with his problems, even if he'd not been her favorite. He missed L'roh. He missed V'i. And he missed J'nas but J'nas came at him and - shaff. Ever since then, he was the oldest of the Bolts, with the girls and mild S'lar. He sort of wanted to drink, or scream, or go and steal some things from the Weyrs to try and make up for what they'd lost because of them and their chromatic disrespect.

Xenth reached out to the remaining Bolts, a sigh in her mental voice. He's moping by the lake, if anyone would like to keep him from having an epic diva meltdown.

Merrell and Amaranth weren't far when the call came from Xenth. They had been soaring through the clouds, keen on perfecting a double barrel roll. The adrenaline was good for the silvery green and her red-headed rider. It kept their minds off of other things. Like L'roh. And the man who had killed her, the same man that had just so happened to be Merrell's father. The man whose blood was now on Merrell's hands. The passionate greenrider was often on the verge of emotional breakdown, a side-effect from constantly living in a sort of manic state. Luckily for Merrell, she was currently feeling unusually stable thanks to the bolstering support and love from her dragon.

~ Merrellmine, Kr'stof is being Kr'stoffy. Xenth says we must come and cheer him up! ~

"Where are they?" Merrell asked as Ameranth wheeled about and headed towards the lake.

~ Near the water, mine! I would like a swim! Would you like a swim? ~ They were approaching the lake swiftly, Ameranth zooming down low so she could dip her claws into the water while they skimmed towards the sparkling green form of Xenth.

"I'd rather not get all wet." Merrell said, but unfortunately it was too late for her and she found herself flying through the air, thrown from Ameranth's back and falling the short, screeching distance into the water.

~ THAT will cheer him up, Mine! ~ Ameranth crowed as Merrell swam until she could stand and then walked out of the water and onto the beach, dripping and spitting like an angry cat.

"That was NOT FUNNY!" She shouted, stomping over to where Kr'stoff lay on the beach and flopping down next to him, dripping water everywhere.
