 Melody looked out the frosted windows at the TLN shop and watched the snowflakes fall down. They're lovely... she thought to herself as she shipped on her hot chocolate with marshmellows. She'd been sitting at this window for a couple hours now, starring at and thinking at nothing in particular. But something had been bothering her. It was the holiday season so everyone was out and about with friends and family. Laughing, singing, hugging, and being merry. And here, Melody sat by herself, feeling lonely. She closed her eyes for a moment holding back a tear. Was there no one out there for her? No one to bring in some holiday cheer. If only... If only...

The store bell chimed alerting the workers that they had yet another customer. The little coffee shop was already busy from being popular than the added chill and snow made it just that much better for the warmth and treats inside. Despoina shook of some of the snow that clung to her fur before heading to the counter to place her order. She let out a sigh as she tried to spy a place to sit once she got her drink but most tables where full of friends and families or were less full but had couples.

Melody sighed out, fogging up the window a bit more and used her horn to carefully draw a heart into the fogged up area. She giggled at her silliness and turned her head as another walked into the shop, the small bell alerting her. She was quite stunning in golds, aquas, a docked tail and with a small unicorn horn. The girl ordered her drink and then looked around, obviously looking for a seat. Her eyes were a deep purple and Melody couldn't help but getting caught in them. So deep... She shook her head and then smiled in case the other looked her way. She moved over a bit so that there was another seat next to the window.

As her eyes scanned the room and spotted an open chair at a table by the window and a pink krin. She wasn't a normal Krin she had a unicorn horn just like her and deep golden eyes. Despiona ended up staring and then blushed when she realized it. She slowly made her way over with a blush still on her cheeks and her drink at hand. She cleared her throat and spoke softly "Excuse me miss but would you mind if I sat by you. There doesn't seem to be room anywhere else."

Melody continued smiling as she caught the others eyes and flagged her over. As the girl approached it appeared her cheeks were quite rosy, probably because of the cold weather outside. "Oh no! Please do." Melody scooted over a bit more so that there was room at the window sitting area for the other one. "My name is Melody." She offers a hoof to shake.

Despoina gave a greatfull smile and took a seat next to the other female while setting her drink on the table. "Nice to meet you Melody, I'm Despoina and thank you for letting me sit with you."

She nodded her head at the other. "No problem at all." She looked around the room before speaking next. "This time of year there aren't many seats for single noodles." Looking back at the other she gestured towards her horn. "Nor are there many other noodles with horns like yours."

Des glanced around as Melody gestured. "Yeah couples and families seem to jump out of the wood work which is nice to see people still believe and care for one another but for a single noodle it hits close to the heart," She blushed as Melody talked about her horn "Yes it does make me unique but your horn is so much prettier and elegant."

Melody glanced up at her own horn and smiled. "I guess." She didn't get many compliments nowadays. "So what brought you in here anyway?"

"No its true. It is a lot better than my stubby horn." she glanced back out the window with another blush. "It was getting pretty chill out and I thought some nice warm coco could warm me up and maybe make me forget about things alil"

Melody laughed at the girl, she was quite silly. "But all horns are magical." She smiled at her, even the littlest ones. She began reaching out towards the other girls horn, as if caught in a trance, but then quickly snapped out and pulled back blushing lightly. With a small cough and nod she said, "yes, this coco really hits the spot." She looked up, smiling but still blushing.

Des glanced up at her little horn and than Melody's long one. They did sort of have a magical quality about them and this made her smile that hers was like the others. "This shop is getting even more popular as the seasons pass from summer to winter. Who knows how long it will be till others will travel for miles just to have some."

Melody nodded at that thought. "Soon we're going to have to go be 'hipsters' and find the new coolest coffee shops around." She smiled at the word, it was totally silly and ridiculous but she'd been hearing it around more and more. Now, she'd finally gotten to use it.

Des thought about it. "True but than it would get very crowded again. Oh I have an idea but I'm not sure if you are up to it. Which is fine and all seeing as we just meet but....." Her voice trailed off. She was excited about what she thought up but was afraid she would be told her idea was stupid.
