The area outside the city, beyond the forested area, is covered in fields and crops with a few scattered farm houses. This area, as opposed to the rest of them, is generally peaceful because there's not all that much out here to destroy. The field's are flat, so it provides little cover but it also makes spotting zombies from a distance very easy. Most of the farm houses are abandoned, or mostly abandoned. There is the possibility to plant and harvest your own food here if you're able to defend your land.
