Carnelian had long since recovered from his broken nose given to him unceremoniously by one Sailor Serpentarius. Now he was perched atop one of Destiny City's highest buildings, thinking himself safe from harm for now. He was meditating. Should he ask Euclase to marry him? Where were they headed in the Negaverse? What were their common goals? He knew more than anything in his life that she was the be all and end all of his existence. Wherever Euclase went, Carnelian would follow. It was as predictable as the changing of the seasons and the corrupted senshi took much comfort in that fact. She was always by his side as he was always by hers. Stability. Carnelian smiled. The wind had died down and he felt secure atop her perch. He could see across the vast expanse of Destiny City. He felt good about his work in Destiny City. Perhaps he'd explained enough of his position to one or two senshi to make them see the damage they were causing. Carnelian was never a fighter but nonetheless had much to prove to his Negaverse brothers and sisters. One day he would. But onto other things. Perhaps he'd propose to Euclase down in Negaspace with a nice full audience of officers in tow...

The month of December had been brief, thus far, but it had already been rather eventful for the proud Senshi of Tigers. Despite the approaching holidays and good cheer, it seemed that the Negaverse had once again stepped up their game, as she had been experiencing a LOT of encounters with them as of late. Whether it be their dastardly youma roaming the streets and causing a mess, or their overly combative lieutenants that were taking cheap shots at her, to even their crazed Corrupted trying to talk 'sense' into her, Tsui found herself growing exhausted with their presence. For awhile, she had pushed herself to investigate the Dark Mirror Court and had welcomed the chance to add variety to her life as a Sailor senshi, but now she was growing just as angry and frustrated with the Negaverse as she was with the Court! Tsui was still eager to suit up and take to her patrols, as always, but today, she wasn't quite sure she was eager to run across any members of the other faction. No, she'd certainly approach them and address them if the situation called for it, but she wouldn't be responsible for the possible bloodbath that would ensue if the case happened. 'Maybe if Sutai was patrolling with me I'd be in a better mood...' Tsui thought to herself as she was reaching the midpoint of her usual patrol route, but she knew that it couldn't be the case. Her beloved (such a strange word to her but still making her feel all giddy inside) was busy at home, and Tsui didn't want to be a bother. Besides, she didn't want Sutai to see her bad mood and think it's her fault. As much as she loved her, she simply couldn't share the same hopes for purification as she did. 'There's just no helping some people. Some are too far gone.'It was around that time that Tsui picked up a familiar, tingling sensation in the back of her head, and she looked in the direction where it was coming from. She knew what it was, though she wasn't sure WHO it was. It immediately brought up the last Corrupted Senshi she had faced off with and even now she could feel a headache coming on. "Oh, please be you... I need a good punching bag today." Tsui moved in that direction, knowing she should have probably avoided it but also knowing that she could never ignore a Chaos energy signature and forgive herself later. She was silently hoping it was Euclase again; that Senshi drove her nuts, and she was more than eager to smack her around for a few rounds. And if not? Perhaps a new face... though she had little hopes in leaving this encounter without exchanging a few blows, as well as their names.

Carnelian was blissfully lost in thought when he felt something at the back of his mind sparked. His skin started to crawl and his bright green eyes snapped open. Someone... Order. Stronger than I am. That sickening feeling of dread welled up in his stomach. His starseed was dulled, floating in a black expanse in his exposed chest. It was dulled by the dampening magics of Chaos. The purification of darkness shielding him from the burning rays of Order. In Chaos, he was saved. But in Chaos, he was a target. The corrupted senshi braced himself for the rapidly approaching signal. He had no way of knowing who it was - whether they meant him harm or not. Instead of going to the signal, Carnelian opted to let the signal come to him. Staying in his seated position with one knee raised, his coat furling in the cool wind. His long braid, a signature of his corruption as much as the holes in his head and chest, was bright like a flare against the deep blue of night. Carnelian only hoped he'd see Euclase again or that he could find the strength in himself to flee when he saw the opportunity. Carnelian was a lover, not ever a fighter. Who was approaching and what did they want?

Tsui had drawn close to the aura but she did not see anyone or anything immediately, and the way she lurked around the alleyways could only be compared to that of a tiger on the prowl. She inspected every shadow and possible hiding place, but there when she couldn't find the source, there was only one possible explanation. 'So you're hiding on top of one of the buildings! Clever... but which one?'She looked back and forth between the two and picked the taller one. It made perfect sense, if someone wanted a place to hide, and Tsui, never the one to be afraid of heights, found a way up and began her ascent. She jumped from one railing to the other, all the while thinking to herself who it was that would hide themselves up on such a tall building. Perhaps it was someone who simply wanted to be left alone? But that didn't settle well with the building climber Senshi; in this war, no one on the Chaos side would simply power up and proceed to do nothing... So, finally, she had reached that last jump, and in truth, she was surprised to find that the aura had not simply left or moved. Which only made her suspicious now. Whoever it was up there had ample enough time to leave, and yet, he or she stayed. The thought of an immediate attack made her weary- after all, they could sense her as well. 'Could be an ambush... I better go in prepared for a fight, then.'Fights were what Tsui felt that she did best in this war, and if whoever it was wanted a fight, she'd gladly give it to them. So, she made the last jump, reaching over the edge with ease and immediately charging in the direction of the aura, without once looking ahead at who she was attacking until she was literally upon him. She stumbled with the name at first, but it didn't stop her from swinging at him. "Carnelian!?"

The signal was approaching fast.
Too fast. The best Carnelian could do was brace for impact and try to seem as outwardly nonchalant as possible. Truth be told, he was rather afraid of White Moon signatures. The knights didn't bother him too much and more often than not, left him to his own devices. Carnelian preferred to patrol with his girlfriend but she was busy that night with work. They shouldered their burden and duty to the Negaverse together. Sometimes one took more than the other due to civilian constraints. However, it was always fair and agreed upon. What wasn't fair was turning around to see nothing but white-on-black with a fist attached to it rocketing right at his face. Carnelian couldn't move fast enough to avoid the hit but managed to back up enough to have Tsui's fist avoid his face. Instead, she planted a good hit into his collar bone and sent the corrupted rolling away from her, slamming his back into the lip of the rooftop. The wind was knocked out of him momentarily and he wheezed, helpless and prone on the ground. Bright green eyes blinked up at her. "...wh... what was..." Cough, cough. "...what was that... for...?"

Tsui was grateful to get some kind of blow in, considering her last few assaults left her either swinging and missing or at the end of such a blow herself, and she fought down an sense of guilt that she might have normally felt to see the other Senshi slam into the lip of the rooftop. The blow left a stinging sensation in her fist and knuckles, but it didn't bother the battle-hardened Senshi of Tigers in the least, giving them a crack and flex as she approached the Corrupted Senshi. "You have a lot of nerve asking what that was for," Tsui said with a sneer, not immediately approaching him yet as she remembered all too well what had happened the last time they faced off. Her head was still ringing from Euclase's assault, and she wasn't prepared to feel the same muscle spasms like before, especially now since she knew she had gained some more muscles in her legs thanks to her rigorous nightly patrols. "If I remember correctly, YOU were the one that attacked first the last time we met, and all we were doing was having a nice, friendly chat." She dared to venture further, slamming her knuckles into her open palm and letting him know that he had made a terrible mistake in their last encounter. "And not only did you attack me, but you ran away as well, before I even had the chance to return the favor! So, I think it's about time I paid you back for that little stunt... fair IS fair." Tsui never really thought about the event until her recent encounter with Euclase and seeing him again, now, only reignited that same shame she had felt that night. This time, she was determined to get her revenge...

Carnelian could do nothing more than lay there as Tsui approached. Her signal was stronger than when they'd met the first time. She'd grown while he had not. Slow and steady was supposed to win the race, wasn't it? Regardless, he felt like a sitting duck, prey laid prone for a very bloodthirsty predator. Coughing, he tried to at least verbally defend himself. "As I recall..." he started, using his hands and forearms to lift himself to a sitting position. His chest heaved and his dulled starseed sparkled faintly in the hole in which it rested. "...I gave you ample warning..." Carnelian placed a hand on the building's lip behind him in an effort to use it as a crutch to stand. "...I didn't want to fight you. I don't... I'm not a fighter. That's why I left." His knees shook but he was finally able to stand. He'd never been hit quite that hard. Serpentarius was the same level as he was, but Tsui? Tsui outranked him. "But you..." Eyes narrowed. He knew he'd be hit again for this. "You attacked without warning. I was doing nothing but minding my own business and watching the city. I did not attack you... how is that fair?"

Super Sailor Tsui never cared for ranks; why should she, when her opponents did not seem to allow that to get in the way. Especially as of late, when Negaverse lieutenants and basic ranked Senshi of the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Court were constantly defying these so called ranks and getting the drop on her? No, Tsui didn't care what her power standing was compared to her enemy; a target's a target, right? Yes, Tsui liked to keep matters simple. The less time spent thinking, the less chance she had to feel that same crushing, crippling confusion that threatened to consume her at every chance. No, Tsui felt she had everything figured out, and she wasn't going to allow a cowardly Corrupted senshi tell her otherwise! As he was trying to stand up, she took another swing at him, and her shout was harsh, venomous and loud, like the beast of her sphere. "How was it fair when your Negaverse ambushed and slaughtered countless senshi that night, huh?! How was THAT fair?!" She aimed straight for the cheek, not wanting to knock him off the building. No, that'd give him a chance to escape, and Tsui wasn't going to allow him to escape this time! This time, the tiger was going to dig her claws in deep and refuse him any chance of escape!

Carnelian's eyes narrowed. Yes, he did recall Tsui being there. The whole reason Carnelian even went along with it was because Euclase was so adamant about it. The higher-ups initiated the order and he had no choice but to follow. So many Chaos people involved, so much bloodshed. The corrupted senshi, both of them, couldn't and didn't kill anyone, so why was Tsui blaming them? "Why are you picking on me of all people?" he spat. He knew he couldn't take her so maybe he could disarm her with words? Then repeat the process in their first encounter - hit her with his attack and book it to a safer area and be done with it. "You do realize that I don't have the power to slaughter anyone, right? Euclase can't do it either. We were forced to go." Her booming voice made him cringe. "If you want revenge, if you want what's fair, then find someone higher up. Find a general. Better yet, find the General King who issued the order. Wouldn't that be more fair?!"

"Oh, yes, throw the blame on someone else- THAT'S real noble of you!" Tsui snapped right back, neither buying his excuse, and if she did, she simply couldn't find it in her heart to forgive him. What did she care if he didn't personally kill a few Senshi? He was still there; he was still of the guilty party, and Tsui was more than eager to remind him of this. "You clump ME in with what the White Moon Court did -so- many years ago, right? So why can't I do the same? Why can't I just throw all of you traitorous senshi in a group and treat you all the same? Why, because I'm White Moon?" What did Tsui care of his willingness? The phrase 'do not kill the messenger' was foreign to her now, and everything from that eventful day, from the petty arguments that broke out prior to the ambush and the bloodshed that followed immediately after the first set of smoke bombs had appeared. All of it came rushing right back, and with everything that had happened recently, all of the attacks and insults, the attempts on her life and her starseed... she felt as though she COULD take on the General King, and that only served to make her throw another punch at the Corrupted Senshi. "Maybe I -will- take it up with him... but first, I need to get stronger. A whole lot stronger... and you're going to help me!" She shouted, curling her fist and going straight for the face, hoping to knock him flat so that she could pounce onto him and just beat him down. No, she had no intention of killing him, but beating him senseless? That the Tiger was willing to do!

"I thought you White Mooners were better than that?" he growled back. "Traitors? For all you know, you're the traitors. We were welcomed by the Earth and by the truth." The next thing Carnelian saw was a fist coming straight at his face - something he couldn't get away from. Tsui was too fast, too strong. Her fist connected squarely with his jaw and cheek and sent him tumbling down onto the lip of the building, the momentum and sheer force of the blow sent him backwards. Wind whipped at his eyes and throbbing face and when he realized what was happening, Carnelian managed to right himself and land on the railing of a fire escape about three floors down from his perch at the top. Now to make his escape? "If you want to get stronger, why don't you pick on someone your own rank?" he spat, looking up at the roof where Tsui laid in wait. "Or do you get your jollies beating down people weaker than you, huh?!"

Every word that came out of Carnelian's mouth was only fuel for the fire, and never before had Tsui felt such anger swelling in her own chest, constricting and painful but unable to be quelled. Not even the sight of him being slammed into the lip offered her any relief. "You are siding with the Negaverse... you're siding with the ones ruled by chaos, control youma, MONSTERS... and you call us the traitors?" And what was his reasoning? "You don't know the truth... I don't know the truth... so stop lying and pretending you know the truth. You're just a pawn... a pawn who knows absolutely nothing!" When he had the nerve claim this was how she enjoyed herself, that caused the world to flash red with anger, and seeing him trying to escape again made her scream. She followed after him, leaping down onto the fire escape on the one above him actually trying to stomp on his fingers to force him to go crashing down. "Pick on someone my own rank? When I watched Benitoite rip out starseeds from my comrades? Friends who were no stronger than me? And eat them... like they were candy?" Tsui shouted fiercely, stomping and moving to give chase, not caring for putting herself in danger and only focusing on Carnelian, her target and prey. "I... I am nothing like the monsters running the Negaverse! I don't kill others mercilessly then eat their souls... no... I'll just beat you until you are BEGGING for death!"

The corrupted senshi barely escaped having his fingers crushed but without that grip on the railing, he plummeted another few stories and landed with a crash on a small balcony used for entertaining corporate parties. Huge concrete planters stood guard on either side of an enormous, ornate glass door. It was locked, of course, but Carnelian needed a way out. He couldn't survive a fall straight down, he wasn't powerful enough to teleport and he couldn't risk powering down in front of an enemy. He had to keep running. The fall took the wind out of him and he lay on his stomach, one arm propping himself up. He almost felt some of the droplets of leftover rain leaking into the hole in his chest. He always thought it was a way to expose his starseed to the lovely elements of the Earth as a way to purify it. Looking up, he saw the tiger drop down to pursue him. He had to figure out a plan. Quickly. "How can you claim to do what is right, in the name of justice, if you don't know the truth?" he pried, asking truthfully. There was no animosity in his voice now. Only pain. Carefully, he pulled himself to a sitting position, coughing up bits of blood and cheek flesh. He was winded. "...because beating someone within an inch of their life, until the light nearly fades from their eyes and they beg you with all their hear to spare them..." Carnelian stood, wobbling slightly. "...because that is justice? Is that what you want? You want to see me near the edge of death? For what, Tsui?" The young man stopped, bending over and coughing up another thick clot of blood. His jaw was bleeding and aching heavily, crimson flowing over his cheek like a waterfall. "...will that satisfy you? Will that quench your need for bloodshed?" He opened his arms, chest heaving. He just stared at her.

Normally, Tsui would have taken the time to gloat and maybe even mock him for his fall, but there was nothing even remotely worth celebrating for the tiger. The Senshi made her way down, using her gymnastic skills to their fullest to prevent herself from falling to her own death. But she came awfully close, her fingers too shaky from the rage and how her own heart seemed eager to simply beat right out of her chest, and only when she was certain that she'd make it, she jumped from the staircase and onto the same balcony as Carnelian. The sound of her own boots hitting the pavement and the grunt that followed shortly after did nothing to block out his words, and Tsui swore that she could feel steam shooting from her ears at this point. As comical as the thought was, she couldn't laugh. Nor would she. Carnelian kept digging his grave deeper, and deeper, and Tsui simply... could not control herself. "There... is no justice. None that -I've- seen..." Tsui growled, drawing closer and closer and confident that he had no where to go. She didn't see the well lit room behind him, nor the people inside, blissfully unaware of the Senshi fight that was occurring just outside of their party. All Tsui saw were Carnelian, and the perfectly large target that was the hole in his chest, and white aura began to dance in her wrists and hands. "I've seen my comrades get mauled by youma, their starseeds ripped out, or... or worse. Get pushed through a damn mirror, or their starseeds corrupted. And yet... we're just suppose to accept that? Because doing anything to stop that is... is going to make us the bad guys?" Oh, how she wanted to just... strike at his exposed chest, again and again, until the pain stopped, and yet, she wasn't sure what was holding her back. Was it the fear in his eyes, or the way he opened his arms to her, as if to welcome her strike? Well, she's gladly give him one! "In this war, there is no justice... so why pretend? Just... just fight me, dammit! THIS IS A WAR!" With that, she charged forward, screaming at the top of her lungs as she did so. "STRIKING TIGER FLURRY*!" ----- Super Sailor Scout Attack: Striking Tiger Flurry. SailorTsui’s Tiger Fist Strike’s power is enhanced significantly, as not only is her blow knocks the enemy back, but it also stuns them if she is able to make it connect, leaving them open for attack. This attack still requires her to be in close range combat, much like the first attack, but she puts more ‘umph’ behind her blows to physically stun the enemy, in hopes of preventing an immediate retaliation. Her time spent honing her powers has allowed her to aim at particular body parts, giving her the time to aim for an arm or leg to strike to immobilize that part of their body for 5 seconds, though at the cost of her having a more likely chance to miss. If she connects, she can knock the enemy back with a chance to stun.
*Knocks enemies back 4 feet *Chance to physically stun enemy for 5 seconds *Can attack twice turns per battle

Carnelian wasn't ready for the impact and even bracing himself did little to stop it. The blunt force of Tsui's attack sent him sailing backwards and into -- and then through -- the glass doors behind him. Inside was a corporate party filled to the brim with people rubbing elbows with the elite of their accounting firm. Glass shattered and shards flew like a snowstorm over people nearby and the floor. Carnelian's stunned body hit the ground and slid forward, blood from his mouth and face spattering about. Screams broke out as people fled towards the exits. General chaos and panic was all around them. "What's going on!?" "Is this a raid?" "BURGLARS!" "It's the terrorists!" "Someone call the police!"More screaming and panic as people stepping over or around Carnelian, obstructing the tiger's view of her prey. The corrupted senshi looked up to see swimming visions of legs and dresses and the hems of pants. Classy shoes, stilettos... everywhere. Crawling to his knees, he took the opportunity to weave in and out of the crowd. The panic caused many people not to notice him at all, not to notice the glass in his hair or the blood on his face. If there was anything Carnelian was good at, it was blending in. Take this victory and stew on it, senshi. he thought ruefully, the crowd swelling and pushing him near the exit. One look over his shoulder showed him several of the larger and younger men trying to corral Tsui into a corner with chairs and wine bottles used as bludgeons. They didn't attack her but Carnelian couldn't make out what they were yelling over the screams. As soon as he was pushed out into the plush carpeted hallway, he darted for the bathroom to dab at his wounds and power down. He had to escape. He had to make it out alive.
