 The area underneath Kurai Mountain, made of caves formed by magma flows. The magma isn't the only thing to look out for though, and the deepest passages are impassable.

 Hayato walks through the caverns with no concern for the magma, or any beasts that may hide here It has been ten years since father vanished...how could one with such power disappear without a trace...as he walks, a magma dwelling beast lunges at Hayato straight out of the molten rock without even blinking he swings two fingers several times and simultaneously his energy lash is projected and cuts several times through the feral creature that was foolish enough to attack him "Hmmph...ignorant beast...incapable of even knowing when something is more powerful than it was..."

"That was cool and all mister, but I can do way better than that," says a small voice from behind Hayato that had snuck up on him. It turns out to be the little girl from the forest. She's staring up at him innocently with wide eyes and with her hands folded behind her back. "You aren't that strong."

Hayato turns around to face the girl and looks at her with a distant and unconcerned expression.
"I was not killing it to be impressive, I did so because it was a beast that was going to attack me until it or me died, and it was too weak to actually kill me"
he knew before he turned around that she wasn't just a little girl like she seemed to be, her presence, her aura, they were dark, not unlike a demon, but not the same, and rather dense, meaning she was suppressing a massive amount of energy to try to appear weaker than she was to one who couldn't tell the difference between energy reducing and energy being held back, even so, her energy was tempered in a way that suggested being much, much older that she appeared also
"I don't care if you claim to be stronger than me, I am not an ignorant fool to attack one who calls me weak, but for one who acts so self-assured, you call one of the highest level beings of this island, a demon lord weak?"

The girl giggles loudly and stares at Hayato proudly, trying to get him to guess who she was on his own. "And who do you know of that could possibly be stronger than even a MIGHTY demon lord, hmm?" she prods, a bit sarcastically. "Surely there isn't anyone like that..."

Hayato looks at the girl with a still unconcerned expression. "among things, another demon lord can be stronger than one, but I do not believe you to be one"
he contemplates what she is intending him to guess and sighs when he comes to a potential answer. "even if you are Resshinu...I don't see why you would bother being here in this place at this moment"

The girl smirks evilly, no longer hiding behind the innocence of youth, but not yet revealing her true form either. "Maybe because this is HER mountain and she was BORED? She DOES get around, you know. And she keeps tabs on all of her children..."

Hayato decides to ignore that she just spoke in third person as if she wasn't Resshinu. "I see...not that keeping tabs on me would be something that would seem like it would break the boredom of one such as yourself." honestly...it didn't make sense, why would the goddess Resshinu be watching him as he wandered around a volcanic cavern, she is somewhat immature in comparison to her counterpart [Aerona], so why watch something rather tedious and dull as wandering

Resshinu continues the charade, even though it's quite obvious that Hayato knows the truth already. "A goddess could watch more than one thing at once, so it's not like she would ONLY be watching YOU, you dumby narcissist," she teases, but then suddenly becomes sullen and looks at the ground. "And maybe she was offended that you trespassed so regardlessly and she wanted to teach you a lesson in respect..."

Hayato looks at her, trying to figure out if she was serious or not...he knew no matter how long he could last against her, he was incapable of actually defeating Resshinu.
"Is that so...?" he wouldn't flee if she attacked or something, he did not say much however as he waited to determine her intentions.

Resshinu smiles at him now, both entertained and annoyed by his aloof attitude. She pulls a black dagger with red-tinted edges and a skull atop the guard from somewhere beneath her dress and twirls it in her hand absent-mindedly. "Hayato, is it? When was the last time you saw that wonderful brother of yours, hmm?"

Hayato felt a bit annoyed by Resshinu asking about his brother... "I do not recall...that weakling disgrace is of little concern to me" to him, Saito was just a misuse of his father's heritage, a disgrace to the bloodline of a mighty demon lord

Resshinu flashes a fanged grin, her form slowly reverting to that of her normal appearance. "And yet, he's interesting, when he actually DOES anything, that is... Although you might have guessed that I only mentioned him to annoy you." She circles behind Hayato, twirling the dagger in her hand and smirking even more. "And in return for overlooking your... Indiscretion... I'll be calling you for a favor sometime. I hope that's not a problem~."
Before Hayato can respond, Resshinu points the dagger at him and says one more line. "Now begone, and do not return unless you are summoned." He instantly finds himself on the surface in the woods somewhere south of the volcano, Resshinu's giggle echoing distantly for only him to hear.

Maintaining his typical demeanor through the end of the encounter, he seems unfazed when he is teleported out from the volcanic caverns, he sighs and looks around. "now what to do..." he simply begins walking for now, he isn't sure where he is going he is just wandering for now
