Alright. I know it's not a lot of people in the RP per say but I wanted to lighten you on the RP and what it was going to be.
The first incarnation of the RP was going to be a Fanfic where various people from around the world would obtain the aspect of said character (Reimu user gains yin-yang balls and bow. Marisa gets the hat and so on) and a tournament is held with these players. They fight in various locations kind of like a G-gundam style where each Representative of the colonies went down to earth to fight in places like China and america. The players have a small hit box for the bullets to hit in the games and three times your out.
I ditched that idea and reworked it into something more unique. Male counterparts of the famous characters live in the real world and act pretty much like the female versions. Yukari overhears a group of three kids (Reimu, Marisa and Alice males) and invites them into Gensokyo is a very sly way with boundaries. Later, it is known that the people find the characters and a game is afoot.
The male and female versions MUST WORK TOGETHER in order to take the other team down. If one is weak, the other will fall flat too
This would cause problems with Reimu and her partner as time goes on. The story would finally end when they resolve it and Reimu waits till the guy leaves before whispering see ya as if she had a friend but lost it (No love of course)
That was then scrapped and worked on a THIRD project. This is the birth of Nahumar Area per say. Nahumar was originally called Poialen (Poison Alien) and started to take over Yukari's body when she let her guard down for but a moment. A person from the outside world is transported to the shrine where not only Reimu and Marisa are, but Maribel who explain that the recent change of Yukari's action has changed the rules of the card game a great deal. It soon failed and i tossed it away AGAIN!
Finally we come to the last ditch effort to write the failed fic.
This is where I was going to implement it more like a card game. A company named 'Yakumo Inc' produces the hot new game 'Spell Card Duel'. The players have to submit a secret form for the right to actually play the game. After Reimu's friends beg her to play as well, she sends it in and the next day she is presented with the rules, her deck, a special 'Item' (The Red Bow) and a special card. This card is called 'Summer Gate of Gensokyo'.
Later in the 'series', Reimu finds out that there are four gate cards and one key card. The seasons make the door and the key is only given to those who present the four door cards to the head of Yakumo Industries for a prize known as "Phantasm"
Thus she duels players in tournaments and such while taking the three cards overtime from three characters.
This is where we come today with the RP.
The changes are as follow:
The Gate Cards are the same, but hidden in the players's cards.
A health system
The goal is not a prize but to find out what 'Gensokyo' is.

I forgot the other incarnation of it but it did not include any TCG traits.
It's where the characters could unlock a Phantasm mode of themselves.
It's basically either an alternate form (In the case of Yuugi, she would have a larger horn, grow longer teeth and demon eyes.)
Or alternative colors (Reimu would have black and white attire as her very aura changes to that of grey like tone. Plus, longer hair)
Some other examples of alt forms were...
Cirno: More human sized adult with more wings and even an icicle staff.
Aya: Her shoes studs are longer, she wields two fans with blades and she has a slightly longer nose and ears (Think of some old animes where the males had those very pointed noses.)
Satori: Her body becomes white and her outfit reflects a more open heart aspect. Her sister is the opposite with a closed heart.
Marisa: My favorite out of them all.
Marisa looses her hat. Her entire body shifts to an older state. And her outfit looks closer to that of a longer skirt and more mage like.
And so on.
The youkai look more beast like while the human like characters get new digs.

So what's the endgame plan for the School? Given the number of players we have, I seriously doubt we'd be able to meet the kinds of expectations listed here, even if we all were to take on our maximum of 3 Main characters. sweatdrop (Not that I'd particularly want that to happen: If we were all to use 3 Mains, and counting the characters we're already using, that'd give us a grand total of 27 characters in play. That....would get very, very hectic and quickly lose its fun value xD)
I take it, judging by your intro, that Reimu is supposed to play a vital part in opening the way to Gensokyo?

Oh no, the list here and the whole idea of the RP currently is not going or planned to be very very long. Just long enough to provide a story.
The way we are going is fine and I do not want to spoil endings or what will happen in the end. As long as it plays out with some filler time (Doing normal things) and the cards, it should be fine on it's own.
All this I posted was just what led to the RP and how much of a fail the fic I was writing became.
