Kadryn headed out into the chilly winter wind. Today she was going hunting for a Kiandri! Last time she'd meet one she'd gotten lucky. Now she felt strong enough to challenge one on! Deciding against flying in the winter sea winds, she took a ship to Eowyn. The trip there was very bumpy. Winter storms were arriving and Kadryn knew that she'd have only a few hours to hunt before she'd need to be back at the ship in time to get home before the storms. Not that she minded storms, but drowning at sea or getting hit with lightning wasn't her idea of fun.
Once they'd landed, she headed out into the desert, but not too far away from the beach. Finding her way back after getting lost in the desert would be tough and Kadryn didn't want to chance it. Since the winds wiped away her tracks, she felt it would be safer to stay withing hearing range of the ocean. And so she did so, but it seemed no Kiandri was near the beach.. maybe they didn't like the winter winds and had hidden more inland away from the cold?
After an hour of fruitless searching, Kadryn decided to head back. Today just wasn't her day. Almost back at the ship, she saw an Ayrala dragon dancing in the winds over the sea. She wanted a Kiandri, but an Ayrala would be just fine. Kadryn smiled, fighting an air dragon in a winter storm... Her mother would be so worried if she knew!

The battle was brief. The Ayrala never saw her coming; it was too engrossed in dancing on the temperamental winter storm winds. Kadryn's fast and merciless blow connected to its head, stunning it and leaving it open to her bloodthirsty mace.

Kadryn's trip back to Serenia was rough. The winter storms had arrived. And while she hadn't found a Kiandri, at least she wasn't going home empty hadned.
