Another day passed, and the sun was making its slow descent to the horizon while releasing shadowy forms in its wake. The mountains stretched from their bases and trees seemed to grow longer, all by the illusion of their shadows reaching out with the promise of nightfall. It was a lovely sight, for those not afraid of the upcoming dark. And for one mare, she welcomed the cover of night much more than the light of day, if only so she could wlak around more freely. A time when others slept, unable to glimpse her appearance. And a moment where she could travel without pausing to hear whispers of other Soquili as they murmured about her strange visage.

With a deep sigh to calm her thoughts, Halimaw peered out from behind the tree branches. She had waited all day within the deep forest, avoiding company with a stealth akin to that of Unicorns. If only she were as talented and glimmering as that breed....

Golden eyes turned towards the mountains as the last beam of daylight vanished, and the sky was now a blend of blues and purples. The stars winked, and she replied to their beckoning as she trotted smoothly onto the open meadows. Now was her time to venture out into the world.
