(iiiii dont have an image for her that wouldnt epic page stretch, so just use my sig for reference?) A regular day, as always. Nothing to do, nothing to do. Kaless was BORED. she had no one to play around with, or run with, in fact she hadnt done so in such a long time, she almost completely forgot what it was like. Plopping down she huffed. "why cant i just find some one FUN? who's one like me?" she thought sadly. Rarely she had ever seen another of her kind walking around. They were all to afraid to leave anywhere predators found. Plus, the reason she wasnt in hiding, was the fact that she could run, and not just run, she could run FAST. she sighed again and got up of the ground, and started walking around again. Today wasn't a great day, but maybe it would get better? she rolled her eyes at the silly thought and walked onward and onward. her mind searching for someone, anyone, who was really not that scared of the world they lived in to be in hiding all day.
Thinking about what other things she could encounter instead of another waterbuck, she listed them off in her head. There were cheetahs, leopards, lions, hybrids, hares, doves and hawks, snakes, she could find anything, but she was most hopeful for a waterbuck like her.

Dume didn’t normally spend too much time away from his friend, but he supposed he needed to branch out once in a while. His lion companion had said it would be alright for him to go out on his own for a little while. Hell, he was pretty much encouraging it. Still, it felt a little weird. Being out on his own… was it really that different? Was he really ‘too guarded’? It wasn’t his fault that he liked one creature and didn’t feel like he needed anyone else in his life. He just wasn’t the type to have a bunch of friends. Smiling faintly, he noticed another waterbuck not too far from him. Slowly, he moved towards her, a little nervous about heading up and meeting someone new. “Uh, hi there,” he offered awkwardly, “I hope you don’t mind me interrupting you… if you were doing something..” Oh they was going to go well, he could tell.

Kaless popped her head up at the voice...was that the voice of....no, it couldnt be! "a waterbuck!" she shouted in her head. she had more common sense then that, seeing as this one was looking a bit awkward. "Hello, who are you? Im Kaless'Jua, but you can call me Kaless" she walked up to him and smiled lightly at him, seeing clearly well that he seemed a little shy, but he seemed nice enough.
Ok, to be completely honest, she was probably more nervous then him.
she had NEVER remembered meeting another like her, besides glimpses of a 'father' since she really never knew him. But what wasnt to be nervous about? males could be gentle giants, and then they could be vicious beasts! she was a little worried, but she wouldnt let it get the best of her, especially when she was acting like the confident one here.

Dume frowned, watching the other get closer to him. It was only when she spoke that he realized she was a female, which only managed to make him much more embarrassed. Like he knew how to talk to females! He didn’t know how to talk to anyone. It was bad enough it being another waterbuck, and now worse being a female. Were the fates conspiring against him or something? He should have known she was a girl- she didn’t have horns like he did. “Um, Dume,” he said awkwardly, “you can call me Dume. And it’s nice to meet you, Kaless. Are… are you on your own out here?” He had to ask- he thought it was weird whenever he saw someone weak without a lion to protect them. His friend kept him nice and safe. And so far, it wasn’t some trick just to eat him.

"well yes, i am alone, but i sure can run, and there are lots of friendly lions out there now" and since she had met so many, it had to be true.
Ok, clearly this was going to be awkward.
she kicked the dirt around her hooves, and looked around. she really wasnt sure about this one, and clearly he wasnt sure about her. to be honest, he looked, even a little scared. did he think this was a trick? "so, are you alone?" she wondered, because alot of her kind were, so it wasnt obvious he wasnt, but she thought it would add something to the conversation.

"Me? no, I'm not alone," Dume smiled slightly. He was feeling more relaxed now that it seemed she wasn't helpless. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, and how to take care of herself.
He was glad- he would have been very worried about her otherwise.
"I have a lovely friend who helps make sure I stay out of trouble. He's a lion and he is very friendly! A real hero. But it's nice to get out on my own every once in a while, too, you know? I mean... it's scary, but I kind of like being here with someone like me."

Kaless smiled at Dume."I like being here with someone like me too. I have never really met many other waterbucks, so its nice to see one, and not meet predators all the time, though some can be nice." She nodded her head with that statement, because she knew it to be true. She had met a hybrid, he was very nice, and she met a semi-friendly lioness before, so not all predators would kill her without a second thought.
