It was really too cold to be doing anything extremely productive. Lesath was standing against some building, zoning out once again. She really ought to have learned by now that zoning out when you were powered up could lead to things like broken wrists and the like…but it really didn’t matter.

She was an eternal too now, and there wasn’t much out there that was stronger than her, or at least she hoped this was the case. Regardless, if she was or wasn’t strong enough, it didn’t much matter now.

The Dark Mirror senshi let out a great yawn and absently tried to braid her hair as best she could. It still wasn’t as long as she would have liked it to be…but there wasn’t much she could do to make it grow faster…at least it was long enough to keep her neck warm…she really didn’t like the winter months when she was powered up. Sure, she was almost positive that some people had it worse with their skimpy outfits, at least she had her nice long boots…and sleeves and a collar to keep most of her back warm…but boy did her exposed skin freeze in the cold months.

The girl gave another sigh and glanced around. Maybe it was time to just call it a night and go home. She hadn’t been doing much, and she could be studying for her damn finals.

Ah well. She moved away from the wall and began making her way towards the nearest mirror.

Zia was still wondering what the ******** she was doing. A year, she went a whole year avoiding the DMC. Now, in a week she was hunting them down desperately, and she wasn't super happy with her findings so far. She couldn't say she was particularly impressed with any of them, and while one had reacted to that with violence, she wasn't looking to physically fight with them.

She wanted information. And they didn't have any.

And tonight she had another one in her sights who would hopefully prove to be more informed.

"HEY!" She called out at the top of her lungs, running to catch up when she saw Lesath go for the mirror before Zia could make a more graceful approach. "Senshi! Wait up!"

Once she made it there, she had to take a few minutes to lean on her knees and catch her breath. Running in the cold air stung in the general lung and throat area. "Hey... DMC right? I need... I got some questions."

Lesath hesitated. She hadn’t felt anyone nearby…so being addressed…well…this was something new. “Uh…what?” The blonde blinked, feeling quite stupid for a moment. What was a civilian doing asking her if she was part of the Dark Mirror Court? Wanting to ask her questions?

She turned to Zia and regarded her rather curiously. Normally she’d be pretty snarky or something…anything. But well. This was too much of a shock to really muster any cynicism.

“Hi…yeah…I’m a Dark Mirror Senshi…who are you?” She continued looking at the girl then shrugged. “And what kind of questions do you have for me…I guess. I mean. If you know what I am…Go ahead and ask.”

There wasn’t much harm in that after all…maybe this girl was a fan of the DMC…maybe she’d even want an autograph. Though…there wasn’t much that would make the DMC be very famous….but it was still a pretty cool thought now that it had crossed her mind. She gave a little smile.

Zia stood upright, still breathing kind of heavily, but she tried to curb it by clearing her throat. Oh god she was getting so sick of having to explain herself. Maybe she'd just gloss over the fact she was just a human and get right down to it.

"Hey. So." She tried to think of how to ask. She didn't know Sailor Orpheus' name, or his sphere. "Are you super familiar with your teammates? Because I'm looking for one. A guy. Kind of creepy, dark hair, glasses, sparkly blue overlay?"

It was the best she could do, and sadly, it was not yielding many results.

Lesath’s smile faded and another confused expression took its place. This girl was looking for someone else in the DMC? A guy? Well…what guys were there? There was Remarque…but he was a blonde…Virtus was a blonde too…

She moved a hand up, playing with her hair once again. Were there other guys in the group? There was that one guy…ah…what had his name been…the redhead…And the…

The blonde struggled to remember way way back…right after she had become a senshi. There had been…two more guys…right? Some purple dude…and…the redhead?

“Um…A guy, I know of a few guys…creepy? Well..I guess they can be creepy…maybe…Dark hair…um…” She made a face and sighed. Oh! Glasses? And a blue overlay?

“Did…does his outfit kind of look…strange? Like a uh…disco dancer or something like that?” What had been that guy’s name? She hadn’t seen him since that time in mirrorspace…though she hadn’t seen a few of those people since that time in mirror space…she hoped that they were okay…or at least still alive.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 06, 2012 6:42 pm

"Yes!" Zia jumped and pointed a bit theatrically the moment she uttered the word disco dancer. "Him! Who the ******** is that?"

She didn't really want to get into the whole reason she wanted to track him down so badly, because ewugh, not really something to share with someone who she was still kind of thinking of as an enemy, though her view on that front was softening as well.

Softening, not vanishing.

"Creep's been following me around, and I need to get a hold of his creepy face and punch it in." Well, that was as good of an excuse as any, and not entirely inaccurate if their next meeting went as bad as the first two.

Lesath jumped a bit at the outburst of excitement coming from Zia. Well then…At least she found the one she was looking for…but. s**t. What had his name been?

The blonde nodded, leaning against the nearest building and crossing her arms over her chest, making a terribly stupid looking face as she thought. What had he called himself?

“See, I haven’t seen Disco man since…oh God…over a year ago? Um…” His name…O something? Oswald? Octavian? Onomatopoeia? “I think his name started with an O…I remember an ‘O’ name somewhere in that meeting. Or…Orangutan?” She sighed, giving an apologetic grin. “Maybe it was ‘Or’something. And he was the senshi of…uh…something…” Lesath finished the sentence rather lamely, looking truly sorry that she couldn’t give a better answer. It had been so long ago.

“I hope you find him and get to punch him though, if he’s been following you. That a**.” It didn’t matter if this guy was a DMC…Girls had to stick together…besides. She had no ties to him…other than they were both on the same team. They had never met, after all. Not really.

"Ugh, 'O something', okay," Zia sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. It was at least more than she'd gotten out of the others, who more or less seemed surprised he even existed.

"Oh! Ha. Ha, he did more than follow me. I took him down the second time he showed up and the ******** pinned me on my back. With some serious creepy grin action going on. And bragged about how he'd been watching me with my boyfriend," From the look on her face, Zia had been hit with a wave of nausea she was trying to push very far away. "Took my pocket knife as a souvenir, I want it back."

She crossed her arms and gave Lesath the once over, partially to distract herself.

"How long have you been around? Honestly 'O something' is miles more than I've gotten out of a few of your comrades."

Lesath gave a very concerned look. “That’s…more than a little creepy. Like, that’s going into the territory of stalker…and like, serial killer or something. Maybe you should invest in a taser or something…” She struggled to remember the name a bit more, and made a mental note to let Remarque know about this. Maybe he remembered the guy’s name? Or maybe he had even seen the guy again…he did seem to get around and knew pretty much everyone.

“Well, I hope you get it back. Just be careful. I mean, he does have more power than you, no offense…and you don’t want to get hurt.”

The senshi stopped playing with her hair and sighed. “Well, who have you asked? Do you know their names? Maybe I could help you figure out why they don’t know anything. And I’ve been around since…last October, I think. Late last October sounds about right to me. And that’s the last time I saw the uh…O-man.”

"Oh yes, I know this," Zia said with a twitching hint of a nod. She was, of course, conveniently leaving out that she had nearly killed the guy before he managed to get up and pin her, but there was really no reason to let Lesath in on that little tidbit.

"He's just a basic," She rolled her shoulders and shrugged a bit as she shifted her arms to a crossed position across her chest. She was in a baggy hoodie herself, but just looking at Lesath's fuku made her feel the cold, man. "I can deal. I might just be human, but I've been dealing with this magical bullshit a lot longer than you've been awakened, kid," She said with a laugh. Especially when the senshi confirmed she was awakened at the Surrounding. That would explain it. Sailor Sparkle-Creep mentioned being zapped into space to get thrown through a mirror.

"You seem to have a pretty good handle on things," Zia wasn't exactly eager t regale her with her opinions on past DMC experiences. She didn't want this to turn sour with insults. She might've thought she was an abomination of nature, but Zia knew a resource when she saw one.

And one corner of her mouth twitched up in a crooked half smile, with just the weirdest hint of sympathy. "You deal with Ares much?"

Lesath nodded, seeming both surprised and slightly impressed that this girl had been dealing with this war for that long. And here she thought she had been involved for a long time…well. If there were civilians who had gotten involved and still lived…well. That really was an accomplishment if she ever saw one.

At the mention of Ares, Lesath shrugged. “I’ve seen her once or twice…I…” She shrugged again, looking a little guarded. She wasn’t sure how she felt about Ares…For being such a big deal…she wasn’t a very big part of anything. “I’m not so sure I really know what I think about her anymore, to be honest. There’s not much respect that you can continue to have for a leader who has been absent for ninety nine point nine percent of your powered life, you know. And I don’t know. I feel as though she’s more of a myth rather than a person. And I don’t really think she gives much of a damn about any of us…but…”

She shrugged. “I don’t know who else feels that way, and normally I keep those thoughts to myself, but…What’s it matter, right?”
PostPosted: Thu Dec 06, 2012 8:36 pm

"She doesn't," Zia stated with a firm seriousness when Lesath said she suspected Ares didn't give a damn. Her expression had sharply changed to one of fierce seriousness.

She could not ignore that door Lesath opened just a crack. "You're just dolls, to make her feel better. She doesn't care any more about you guys than she did her last team. Or the one before it."

She shook her head. "It matters. Ares turns on people on a dime. People who aren't useful to her end up dead. You should care. A lot. And get the ******** out." Her stomach twisted a bit, wondering if this was going to end up with more hands on her neck, but Lesath hinted at something, and Zia wanted to rip it out into the open if it was there.

Lesath didn’t say anything for a long moment, but rather stared at Zia. Finally she hesitated, choosing her words wisely. “You really seem like you know a lot about Ares. But…that’s not the important thing here, I don’t think. I’m not going to lie, I honestly think if there was a way, I might take it…or at least…I don’t know. I really don’t think I give much of a dam n what she thinks…and if she thinks she can kill me…well…”

She made another face, trying to decide what to say now. “I just don’t think she could take us all on, that’s all. She might be strong…but together, we’re stronger, right? If she decides we’re of no use to her…well. Then she’ll have to deal with the repercussions. Honestly, I just wish she would tell us what she wants from us. It gets old just taking energy without knowing why the hell we’re bothering to take it in the first place.”

The blonde scoffed. “I wasn’t made to be a minion, and she really has turned me into one…but I have to admit. I like what I am, but, part of me feels like I have nothing to do with her most of the time…”

She had been rambling, almost out of control, and by the end of her little speech, she wasn’t quite sure what the point of it had been. Not sure at all.

Zia's eyes narrowed and glanced in another direction. It was hard to make a connection with their situations, when you had to make sure Ares wasn't aware of whose starseed you were toting around in your chest cavity for fear of being lobotomized into a human vessel for her pet.

"We used to be friends. Me and Ares, before she decided she'd rather be an overruling tyrant," And she flashed a weak and wry sort of smile. "And she couldn't turn me into one of you guys. Wasn't born a senshi, nothing in me to turn." She had used this excuse to much she was starting to believe that was the real reason herself.

Though, the part about Ares not being able to take on her own court made Zia stare at her like she said the sky was bright pink. "She created you. Don't you know how senshi work? You were connected to something, something that gave you power, and Ares cut it off and put herself in that place. Not only can she kill you, she can obliterate you if she hears you say that." The second those words came out of her mouth, Zia felt like a moron. This was tolerate-your-enemy-until-you-can-wring-Orpheus'-neck time, not play peer counselor to someone she really didn't think she should be sympathizing with time.

Then again, counsel was kind of in the guardian cat job description.

She tried to turn off her brain so hard, because she wanted to explode with an endless fountain of information for Lesath. Options, woman! There were options! But she couldn't, not yet, especially if Lesath was being coy and simply drawing her out, which was always a fear ever present in the back of Zia's mind. Was she getting smarter, or was her paranoia just getting worse?

"...We should talk. Later. Not now. Is there some way I can find you later?" And in an attempt to at least bridge some familiarity, extracted one hand from her huddle to hold it out in an introductory gesture. She wanted this resource, she wanted Lesath to bite and be reeled in. "My name's Zee." It was one letter. She figured that much couldn't hurt.

Lesath hesitated, not liking what she was hearing, not one bit. Ares could obliterate her? Obliterate all of them if they rose against her? Well…That wasn’t a comforting thought at all…

A shiver moved through the Eternal senshi and she looked very uncomfortable. This would be something to discuss with Remarque at a later date…He would know how this worked, or he would be able to do something…maybe.

She blinked when the girl…Zee mentioned seeing her again. Well…yeah. They could figure something out. “I wouldn’t mind that. I’m Lesath. If you want to find me…I guess…I can come here like once a week or something. And if you want to talk, you could be here too?”

It was a stupid sort of plan, and it was one that could backfire if this girl decided she wanted to bring some Senshi to do some sort of damage…but…she hadn’t done anything so far but ask some questions and offer some advice, so it couldn’t really hurt to meet up again. “How about like…Saturdays at nine or something? I’ll be around here for ten minutes or so and if you’re here we can talk…if not, well I’ll go on my way?”
