A dreary day it was. The sky was dark and small droplets of rain fell every now and then. It wasn't really a good walking day for Phantasm, but he didn't mind the rain nor the dreary weather like most others would. He was a strange one. Though his adult life now is a million times more different then it was when he was only a colt. He was larger of course, but his mutations only grew more and more stranger. His club like tail swayed behind him as he walked through the open field and most times he didn't mind it. It created fear in many so they wouldn't bother him, but it always got stuck. Whether it be a bush, the trunk of a tree, or even vines, it got stuck at least once a day. It was a hassle, but he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Then came the other two delightful beings in his life. Specter and Wraith were his new found friends that he couldn't part with even if he wanted to. They pretty much live in his neck and treat it like it's their home. It was something different and they were his friends now, which he was lucky to have. Mainly because he didn't have to be that lonely anymore. Even though they didn't talk, their actions were good enough and this made him more perceptive to reading others based on movement.
As the rain continued to fall down, he looked up at the dark sky and let out a deep sigh. "Do you both know what I can do today?" He asked aloud and before long the two ghost like creatures seeped out of his gaping neckline. Specter floated around his head a few times before moving a few feet away as if telling him to continue to explore. Wraith on the other hand kept disappearing and reappearing trying to spook him, but it wasn't working. When he felt defeated he followed after Specter. This was a daily occurrence for the young stallion. "I guess exploring it is then.." He muttered lightly under his breath as he walked in between the two spirits. They were both completely different and each had their own personality, but they were there for him. It didn't seem like anyone else was at the moment other then his adoptive family.
He only hoped this day would lead to something worthwhile.

The rain had always fascinated Kaya. The little foal just didn't understand where it came from. Her father had told her it meant that the sky was crying. Was the sky depressed? It had been crying a lot lately and she was growing concerned for it. She waddled over to a puddle and blinked at it, seeing her reflection in it's depths. Her odd red eyes swirled around as she took in her appearance. She knew she was different. Maybe not as different as her sister with her odd mass of squiggly tentacles, but she knew she was different. Her scaly, reptilian tail swayed behind her as she wandered from puddle to puddle, just looking at herself and humming, enjoying the rain.
By the time Zhutkaya looked up from the ground, she noticed her surroundings had changed. She had definitely ventured farther than her usual playing area within her father's sights. He must have been too busy with the other two to notice she had disappeared. The thought made a twinge of jealousy and loneliness well up inside of her. Well this wasn't good... Raindrops dripped onto her face as she stared up at the sky. Daddy was going to be so mad at her, but he'd notice she was gone soon. Hopefully, soon.

Swishing his club of a tail behind himself, the small colt wandered further and further which felt like forever. His stubby feet weren’t the best to walk with and his steps were very small. He probably shouldn’t have ventured too far away from his parents let alone his family. He didn’t want to get into any kind of trouble, but a part of him just wanted to see what was out there. He wanted to explore and see the world in front of his eyes. That was until he heard the footsteps of another close by. He didn’t know if he should feel scared or intrigued by this. If it were someone he could talk to he would be happy since he had no friends and his siblings pretty much did their own thing. If it was a monster, then he was in serious trouble. His little legs couldn’t take him that far and his tail made it hard for him to run very fast. “Hello?” He called out in a sheepish voice as he followed the sound of the footsteps.
This wasn’t a very good idea, but he was curious. So curious that he was willing to possibly get hurt just so that he could meet someone else. “I’m not an evil monster or anything..” He said even though he felt like one. The gash in his neck and the flail tail really made him question himself many times. x Yuki Bear x I know it's been ages since I tagged this. Let me know if you want to continue it or toss it.
