Hypnos had run and run until she had long past the energy signal that Zippeite released, allowing her to finally breathe and feel safe. She had no idea where she was but that didn't seem as important as being there in one piece. She shook fiercely as her body slumped against the ground with a small regard for what it was: Grass, thankfully. Adrenaline began to wear off, the pain in her face coming back as a constant reminder. It stung, it really stung. She didn't even know what had hit her but it was like being whipped. In the face.
A small peace of mind, Hypnos' tears finally pooled out of her eyes like a fountain. Her tiny voice wailed, her hands rubbing her eyes as her bunny plushie and net hung swung lightly in her arms as she did so. She didn't like fighting, nor had she done anything deserving of being hit yet it still happened. The child didn't understand why someone would just attack someone else like that when there was no reasonable cause to. There wasn't much time for in depth thoughts here though because all Hypnos was comprehending was the pain and how her heart ached over everything that happened.

Zia had been walking home when she heard the wailing. There was a brief moment where she stopped and debated ignoring it, but a glance in the culprit's direction made her groan and look up to the sky as of wondering why stupid things like this always seemed to pop up when she just wanted to go to bed.
Because even though she was open about how inconvenient it was, ignoring it was not an option.
She briskly walked over and crouched down next to Hypnos, setting her shoulder bag down on the ground and lightly touching her hair to let her know she was there. "Hey. What happened?" She did, at least, sound concerned.

The touch of Zia's hand an her familiar voice caused Hypnos to look up at her, revealing the dark brushing across her face. His weapon had cracked her hard enough to immediately damage the surround tissue and begin swelling her face. Seing Zia here in this state reminded the child just how wrong she'd been. Although Zia had attacked hey with intent it was malice, Zippeitr had been the malicious one.
"I'm sorry," she said with a sniffle. "I was... Trying to stand like you showed me and... A boy showed up... And..." she began wailing again.

Zia cringed at the bruising. For someone who acted tough, she still visibly reacted to injuries like she could feel them herself. She did take mental note of this boy who caused them, though, and while she had freely warned Hypnos of bad people who do bad things for no good reason, she still wondered what kind of jackass hits little girls in the face.
She heaved a long sigh before she sat down on the grass and pulled Hypnos into a hug.
"Sorry for what?" She asked, trying her best to sound gentle. "It's not your fault someone hit you."

The hug was exactly hat Zia had intended it to be, causing the child's wailling to soften down into sniffles until she wiped the corner of her eyes free of tears.
"You tried to prevent this. I was a bad student..."

At this point Zia was in full on mommy mode, or, she would argue, cat to senshi mode. She squished the chibi senshi in a brief squeeze before she went about playing with her hair in thought.
"Well. Yeah." Hypnos was a terrible student, in her opinion. "But hey, if you don't wanna fight then you don't wanna fight." Some people weren't fighters. Zia readily accepted this, even if with some annoyance. But hey, if no one needed guarding then what good were guardians?
"So. What do you want to do about it?"

Hypnos' heart sunk even further when Zia agreed with her. Sure, you shouldn't say something was so if you were expecting people to say otherwise but she was just a child. Luckily, Zia hadn't left it simply at that. A small smile fell on the child's face. She didn't want anyone to be hurt so she didn't want to fight but she also didn't want to be hurt.
"Is there a way to protect myself without fighting?"

Zia pursed her lips in thought and glanced up while she pondered for a bit. "Physical fighting? I dunno. I know a few blocks I can show you, maybe fix up that stance I was trying to show you?" She offered but remembered the last time they tried this. "I'm probably going to push you over a few times again, but how else are you gonna know it's working, right? There's lots of ways to react in a fist fight, you don't need to be on the offensive to avoid hurting your pretty little face."
She hadn't meant it in a condescending tone, Hypnos did have a pretty face!
"I don't know if that's what you mean, though. I'm not really good at talking my way out of s**t." Actually, she was excellent at the opposite, but she wasn't about to teach Hypnos that.

Hypnos slowly found her way to her feet, her mind shifting around as she tried to determine if she could do this. She didn't want to get hit again, at least not if she could help it so she took a deep breath and nodded her head. She could do it, she would try her best not to cry. The logic was sound, and it made it all the more easier to convince Hypnos into this game again.
"Okay, please show me!" She said, her blue eyes watching Zia. She wasn't blinking, worried she'd miss a very important detail.

"Now?" Zia cringed and looked around, vividly recalling how judgmental her brother had been when he caught her sparring with someone half her size. But hey, if Hypnos had the spirit, she wasn't going to say no.
"Okay!" Zia jumped up to her feet and took off her sweater, loosing up her arms. "See if you can imitate this?" This time she moved a little slower, trying to be more aware of her younger audience. She made a motion that was sort of a cheat to get arms and shoulders in a proper position. "I know it feels silly, but eventually you'll just be able to naturally take this position," She tried to be reassuring.
"Legs like this, and try to stay loose. It's not good to be a brick unless you're huge and can take some serious punches. What you want to do is kind of redirect a hit and move out of the way at the same time."

Yes, now. Children are so bad at finding the right time and place for things and it wasn't like she could go home looking like this so she had some time to kill. She was a bit more into it this time, perhaps because she was quite aware of the stinging in her face that haunted her. It made it easier to ignore the fact that her arms and legs felt weird when her face stung, that's for sure.
"How's this?" She questioned, trying to imitate her the best she could.

"Hmmm..." Zia walked around to stand behind her, rubbing her shoulders and making her sway a bit, just to make sure she was getting ready to move and not just stand there and take it this time.
"Okay. Yeah, that looks good," She bounced back around to face Hypnos. "So, kind of push my fist away and bounce off to the other side, kay? That's the motion we're going for. Push and move." And that was all the warning Hypnos was going to get before Zia actually moved to punch her. It was, at least, a very slow one.

This was definitely a lot better than last time! Hypnos had a warning, which made her squeak a little less full of shock and wonder when the fist came at her. She thought direly upon what Zia had told her to do. What was it? What was it? OH GOLLY. Her mind was betraying her but thankfully it wasn't as fast as it had been before. It gave her enough time to remember what she was suppose to do, pulling her hands up to meet her fist and push it away.
"A-ah," she huffed, rubbing her hands a bit. "How was that?"

Okay Zia might've humored her by flopping dramatically like Hypnos had the super strength to knock her off balance. She flopped back to an upright stance and laughed. "Good. In theory. Try to move to the side a little more to put more distance between you and the fist, but you've got the idea."
She moved her shoulders a bit and stood in a clearly on the offense, ready to punch position. "Okay, kid, I'm gonna come at you a little faster now, get ready." And she allowed a few seconds of prep before she moved to hit her a little faster now.

Hypnos beamed like she'd just gotten a gold star when Zia flopped dramatically. She felt accomplished, not beaten, and that gave her new hope to keep going. It was definitely a better tactic than simply pushing her around like a ragdoll expecting her to fight. It was nice to hear compliments of what she'd done, even if they were only in theory.
"Okay," she replied with a hint of nervousness and a small hint of confidence. Whether she could do it or not, she was confident that she could try. The warning had been better this time, but the punch had been a lot faster. She squealed when her arms went out to protect herself, trying to push them away. That had been successful but trying to move to the side had caused her to slip with her slippers and stumble.
She didn't fall, but she felt awfully embarrassed.
