Crystal was barely out of the bar doors when she heard a woman's shouting coming closer. "Have you seen my child? I can't find him anywhere!" "Oh no!" Crystal frowned. "Well, I haven't seen any children around today but...what does he...or she...look like?" "She has red hair and green eyes...her name is Lisa." Her shoulders slumped. "Can you please find her?" "Of course. Don't worry." With that, Crystal set off to look for the missing girl.

She turned right into an alleyway with a dumpster. "Hello?" she called out. "Lisa?"

She looked in, around, even under the dumpster, but to no avail. She turned and headed out of the alleyway. She passed a park. "Kids like parks..." she reasoned to herself. She hopped the fence and started looking around and in trees. "Lisa!"

Nearly 30 trees, not a single Lisa. "This is taking longer than I thought..." Crystal frowned. "How far could she have gone?" To her right, she caught sight of a pier. "Oh god..." Could the child swim? She deeply hoped so. She ran toward the pier, hoping that this would be another wrong turn.

She scanned the surface of the water. Nothing. "Well, young lady," called a voice to her right. "You look like you've lost something." She turned to see a man fishing on a small boat. "In a way..." she responded nervously. "Have you seen a little girl around, with red hair?" "Can't say I have...and I've been sittin' here for a good..." he looked up at the sun. "About five hours now." Crystal sighed with relief. If he hadn't seen her, then she probably hadn't drowned. At least not here. "Thank you!" She waved at him, then turned and went to continue her search. She saw bustling streets and shops in front of her. "That's a possibility." She quickened her pace to a jog. When she reached the nearest street, she shielded her eyes from the sun and surveyed the crowd.

There were plenty of children, but none that fit the description. Crystal wandered around, calling Lisa's name. Suddenly, she spotted a potential lead. A toy store! She ran to it and entered.

There, sitting on the floor near one of the shelves, was a small red-haired girl in a pale blue dress. "Lisa?" Crystal inquired. The girl looked up and smiled happily. "Hello!" "What are you doing here, child? Your mother's been horribly worried!" "I saw a dog, so I chased him down the street. Then there were lots of people, so I couldn't see him anymore, and I didn't know where Mommy was...but I saw a toy store, so I came in." Crystal couldn't help but grin. "Ok, but we have to go now. Your mommy is waiting." She stood excitedly, still clutching the doll. "Ok!" Crystal didn't have the heart to tell the girl to leave the doll. She glanced nervously around the store, but saw no sign of anyone else. They won't miss one little doll, she thought. They exited the toy store and headed back to the bar to set the poor mother's mind at ease.
"LISA!" the mother shrieked as they approached. She ran toward them, got on her knees and embraced her daughter. "Oh, honey, please don't run off like that again, I was worried sick!" She picked her up and stood. "Thank you so much, I don't know how I can repay you...what's your name?" "I'm Crystal." She smiled at the mother and daughter. "And it was no trouble at all." "Crystal..." the mother repeated, reaching into her purse. She pulled out a fistful of money and counted it. 1000 beli. "We don't have much, but at least take this." "Oh! That's not necessary..." " I insist." She dropped the money into Crystal's hand. "I need to get her home now...thank you again!"
