Such a busy city she thought to herself as she stepped through the portal. Humans were industrious creatures, always frantically moving about for this or that reason. Building up and out, even when the foundations were so weak. The city was build on shattered things, things that were old and broken, useless. A vast system of the unknown lay just below the surface. None of that mattered to her however.
What mattered to Lan was the thing she had in her hand. The little ones, so ready for her fear, so ready to rip a human apart from the inside. A low hum, Lan had come alone. Perhaps not the wisest of choices, but it was her choice. She was going to push herself, se how far she could go. Perhaps it was foolish of her, but she wanted to do better, test her own limits. See how far she go on her own. A deep breath, the little viruses wre refined and ready. It was time to go to town.

It was the First thing she saw, Humans clustered in a group in the city center. Singing. Looking ‘festive’. Alive and happy, they came in all sorts of gaudy colors. No sense of style, no sense of pride. The humans looked horrific. Such blights upon the world- Disgusting. Vile. She hardly wanted to deal with them. But- her virus was perfectly suited to their glad tidings. Tidings of the end. Not the beginning of anything new and joyous. Not for mankind anyway. Smiling sweetly, she lifted her vial into the air and let her virus wash over them, FEAR infected them as she went so far as to hold the virus under the nose of the one who sand loudest. A wicked smile on her lips.
Humans were best silent in Lan’s opinion.

Going to one of the emergency missions that had been popping up on her phone, Tori had rushed off to the lighthouse to portal to the location. Tori knew that maybe she should have asked someone else to go with her but she wanted to test her own limits and to prove to herself that she was getting better at fighting and not failing like she felt like she was.
It felt a little strange to be back in New York City and she did hope that there would be no one around that would know her but then to where the portal had taken her was no where near her old haunts. Quietly walking on looking for any creature. It didn't take her long to spot the conquest pony that she had encountered before at the Haunted House. Eyes narrowed as she was going to take care of this filly and summoned her weapon and charged right for the pony.
Once close enough the Lifer chucked her ball and chain right at the horsemen and sorta hitting her mark. "It not nice to see you again Conquest filly," Tori said venomously since she really hated all ponies but Conquest most of all, but filly was Lan's new name that Tori had given her as it seamed so appropriate to her mind and to her weapon too.

The sudden attack from the weapon had Lan’s head snapping to the voice. “Ah yes, the huntress.” She hissed. Going through the humans Lan brushed her fear against them, and the reaction was quick, the humans tensing up, a sudden looked around before vacating the area.
“How odd it must be for you, to come and seek to save these insects. Look around you little huntress. They don’t care about you. They don’t care about anyone but themselves. There isn’t any community. Family- just filth. They serve only themselves. But we? We give them purpose.” As food, as FEAR.
“But even I can admit… This is a grand city isn’t it? Sadly it is built upon the weak, upon ruins. Decrepit and vile. You humans destroy all you touch, part of why I do so loath your kind.”
She pulled her vial out, holding it to the air, not minding where it went. “We seek to just destroy. “

Tori just glared at the horsewoman as that is all that they wanted to do wanted to do along with revenge. But it was a little odd to know that the other people didn't know what was truly happening, but then she really didn't care one bit what these people thought of her, it was sorta like how it had been for her before becoming a hunter. "They might not, but they also don't know the truth of what you kind does and they don't deserve that, so I will protect as long as I can from the likes of your kind," Tori answered not too nicely since she long to see this horseman put in her place as being permanently dead. One thing that the lifer did agree with the horsewoman was this was a grand city but that was something that she wasn't never going to say to any horseman.
Growling a bit when Tori saw that vial that the horseman was holding as that thing couldn't be any good. "Then I will just make sure to destroy you before that can happen or at least try my hardest," she answered raising her sword up charging right for the pony to stop what she was doing.
Swinging down hard with her blade in attempts to do as much damage as she could to the pony. "I die permanently you stupid Filly," she said with a little growl as even Aklin was growling in his hunters head wanting more Fear.

Lan laughed. She truly and deeply laughed. “Deserve it? Huntress, I was born to do this, I exist because they fear. They created us in a way. We are only fulfilling our roles. We will bring about the end they have written. The end they have created for themselves.” She winced as the weapon sunk into her but- “Relish this moment little hunter, relish it, because my task is not yet complete. I have my duty, my role to fulfill.” Wa wave of her hand, Lan was fine with dismissing Tori, after all, so long as he virus reached it’s destination… then all would be well. She could harvest the fear and bring glory back to her people. She had to just complete the task set our before her. A group of children, Lan let the cold wind carry the virus to them, it was almost too easy.
“Kneel little huntress, kneel and maybe one day we will show you mercy.” The only mercy Lan knew would be a quick and painless death, yet for a hunter… that seemed almost too much to hope for.

'Well then I will full fill my role in the destruction of all your kind. We stopped you once and we can do it again," Tori said as she knew how Fear worked but all creatures of Fear had to die permanently to keep her world safe from fears the people didn't know of. The anger in Tori started to rise even more as she saw the group of children as this type of stuff should never happen to children as she gripped her chain even harder in her anger as it make clanking sounds.
This time Tori kept her sword low to the ground. "I will never kneel to the likes of your kind. Even if you force my body to kneel my soul never will," Tori yelled as with what Lan said brought back the memories of being forced to do so with gravity and the sensation of bones breaking under that weight. "Why don't you kneel and maybe you could become a good weapon for us to use," Tori added as she started to charge and at the last second throwing her chain and ball right for Lan.

This time a snort. The huntress really thought that was her role? “You are lower than cattle. You stopped us… Once? Did you really? Our kind will never stop. So you best slay us all if you can but remember. We are born of fear, so long as humans fear the end of their world, we will exist. So- you will never stop us. Your duty, your role? Tis nothing more than a sham.” The last bits of her virus set free, Lan smiled. It would all come together. It would all end one day.
The chain and ball earned a light hiss of pain all the same. “Fun fact. Do you think when you die, your soul will be free? No, even your soul is a thing to be feared, a thing to be harvested. You are cattle girl.Act like it."

Tori just glared harder at Lan as she wasn't cattle at all and she really did hate to hear her called that. "I am not cattle, you are the vile creatures that only want to rule or what ever that isn't yours to begin with. How do you know that we can stop you again? There will be a way where all of you can be destroyed even if people still fear and its not a sham," the lifer answered there just had to be a way even to find out a way to use Insanity in the hunters favor.
Growling as she tightened her grip more on her chain as she knew that she would never kneel down to any of these creatures that should be kneeling to them and want to serve them as there weapons. "I will never act like cattle that is not what I am and with all of my might I would never kneel to any of your kind. Why can't you become the weapon that you were always ment to be then," she said as Tori started once more charge at Lan twirling her chain around so full of anger but the central in her sword started to glow as it a thick liquid started to coat her blade and striking hard as she slashed across the horsewoman trying to do as much damage as she could.

From where Lan was standing? Tori was indeed cattle, and like all cattle she was nothing more than food to be harvested, brought to slaughter. “You deny realities little girl. You think you can really hope to win against us? That you can hope to ever rise against us? We are nigh immortals. We are born from that which you FEAR most” A child ran past her, coughing, sneezing. Lan grinned at the sight of it. “We are born right from what you yourselves created. The fear of the end.”
Sneering at the thought of being a weapon, Lan saw the blade coming, arms up- but it burned. It burned her and it burned deep, the horsewoman hissing in pain as her body tried to remain whole. “You have your little toys, your little weapons. But we would destroy ourselves before we joined your ranks.” Her hand went up to the fragment. “We will never fall to insects like you.” A hateful whisper, and Lan was gone.

Tori didn't deny any realities at all as she wasn't cattle not to the likes of any creature. "Nothing is immortal only longer life, that is all," Tori said since she didn't fear her end at all if it happened it happened.
So very pissed to see the Horsewomen getting away. "But you are just a coward running from a fight!" Tori yelled back to the empty space were Lan use to be. Oh she had failed to stop the horseman, but next time she ever saw that conquest horseman again Tori would make sure she didn't fail on killing that pony.
