External Missions Survey Mission 4ALocation: Prypiat Images:: x, x, x. General debriefing: Commonly known amongst most Hunters as one of the largest Halloween-Human portal hotspots, a strange influx of Fear and Insanity has grabbed a hold of the location, especially underground. The area is now covered in a thick fog, and what few tourists make it through are rarely seen back. The entire area has been covered off by local authorities, though the fog radius and Insanity seems to be spreading... * B class difficulty level (must have a team of three, at least one of them must be a Full Hunter. This is considered a DANGEROUS mission. ) MECHANICS * MECHANICS: RP assembling a team, as necessary, before heading towards the Lighthouse portal to request a portal to Survey Mission AA. Once there, roll a 100-sided dice and match the roleplay to the results below, as well as any reactions. Players can continue rolling until any of the players roll an INSANITY ENCOUNTER, in which case the BATTLE PHASE begins. See below for battle phase mechanics. 1- 20: You can't see through the thick layer of fog. At some points you hear someone call you, whether or teammate or another voice entirely. At other points you see a shadow of someone, as you reach towards them they disappear entirely. You trip over something - a body rotting, thick dark blood still blossoming on the ground in crystal-like fragments. They are smiling with eyes wide open at you. 21 - 40: As you walk deeper, you hit an old, rusted ferris wheel. There are people hanging inside each pod, some half-draped out, others nestled in. Their bodies seem to be showing light signs of decay, unmoving. All of them are smiling, widely, perfect teeth showing. 41 - 60: You manage to navigate through the fog into a segment of thick concrete. The area is extremely dangerous and radiates high levels of Fear and Insanity. You hear a voice mocking you, and laughing at the same time, words nonsensical. For a second you feel as if someone is watching you from behind you, tugging at you. As you walk past the pavement you realize all the cracks on the sidewalk are shaped in a large, wrinkled grin. 61 - 80: You see something from the corner of your eyes, a greyed out version of yourself. They wave at you and smile, grin splitting their face.... 81- 100: BOSS ENCOUNTER: - As you continue walking down the sidewalk you hear a large crack, followed by another. A strange gas explodes from underneath, making you extremely dizzy, as you cough to figure out what is going on, fighting for air now. You have exposed your entire team to a hallucinogen, making everything more terrifying than ever as your vision swims and hops uncontrollably and your hearing becomes muted. Something creaks, groans, lurches underneath you, but is that your imagination? - BOSS MECHANICS: This boss is a mob that has collective 100 HP. Every time you attack it (following the general battle rules), you TAKE 8 damage. AS you can't really see the boss, most of it will have to be dependent on what you can see, if anything at all, from strange faceless figures lurching, half-hopping towards you to the smiling dead coming back and swiping at you. Make sure to tally the boss's total HP (the damage you did to it) at the bottom of your post as well as your total HP and the damage you did that round. If the boss's HP hits 0, you have defeated it, and your team can now take the portal back. * 3 mission reward points for completing this successfully

After surviving something she didn't think she would, mostly because being pessimistic seemed to be her new sort of normal, a certain redheaded teen found herself staring at a list of missions that were told needed to be done. Missions meant that the portals were somewhat open, at least for professional use rather than personal, but if it meant getting off the island and getting a chance for fresh air (and proper fighting) Ofelia was willing to do anything.
One of the missions in particular caught her eye, something about an abandoned town and being a hot spot (words she liked seperate but loved when together) and she read down on what was needed. Thanks to Jason's help she was doing much better, hardly any snags, but she paused with a sour frown when it said she'd need a hunter to go. She knew a few ranked hunters, namely two, but what if either of them were busy? If she asked one and they said no how about the other?
It was an easy choice, and the teen got out her phone for texting.iStoleYurVamps Text to Marcus mission to abandoned town wanna go kurotomato Text to Gale mission to abandoned town wanna go Having sent out two texts, if only one person responded she'd think it was awesome. If both came then heck yeah, it was time to rock and roll. Maybe she ought to get a warmer jacket and some decent shoes. . . .

Marcus looked at text with a bit of curiosity. If she was feeling better that was good, but did he want to do a mission? A look to yet another request on the moon hunter tack board to fill in on repair duty for the suns. Nope. No thank you. One sun over ten suns thank you. He’d take the mission. Suiting up with the usual, Marcus just text her back. Quote: Text to Ofelia: Location and team/gear check- what is needed and who else is assigned?

Gale was, to say the least, not exactly in prime condition for a mission. Only just barely out of the infirmary, his left arm in a sling with bandages wrapped from his fingertips to his shoulder, it was probably the last thing he needed - especially with the metal silver and blue bracelet from Caelius snapped around his other wrist.
Except Gale, of course, was not about to just sit around idly - in fact, if he hadn't been released from the infirmary, he would have snuck out (again), but thankfully it was not necessary. So Ofelia's text was met with a good deal of gratefulness on Gale's part, since he had spent the last week and a half lying around doing nothing.Rown Lemme know when/where and what to bring, and I'll be there.

Ofelia was downright delighted to get messages back from both guys, it was more than she could hope for - it meant she had her party of three and the hunter she needed. Granted she and Gale were both newly accessories, the bracelet sliding on her arm and making her a bit unhappy since it clashed with her ....clothes, and the teen ignored it in favor of sending back a reply.
This was going to be amazing.Quote: Text to Gale + Marcus heading to pyrapit russia wear something warm runics are good i have bandages and torch meet at lighthouse asap for marcus gale is coming for gale marcus is coming She headed to the lighthouse after grabbing a warm jacket (she assumed Russia would be cold) and some decent shoes. Marcus would be proud considering the last mission they went on together had her...under-dressed, and she also made sure she had a runic torch and set of bandages.

The location and time were all Gale needed. He snapped the phone shut, tucked it into his pocket, and began gathering supplies.
Ten minutes later he was stepping into the lighthouse, dressed in a simple white coat with a fur trim, gloves, and his usual scarf wrapped around his neck, although the coat was not entirely on and was merely draped over his shoulders.
"Hey," he said, by way of greeting to Ofelia. "Thanks for inviting me."

Russia, a quick search on the gps system confirmed that he probably should grab the right gear and no go basic. Under armor, an extra layer, thick socks in his boots, gloves, and a quick check out for daggers, the quartermaster giving him a small wave as he picked them out. Gale was coming so, he wouldn’t have to worry about the death as much as he’d have to worry about Ofelia. And her running into danger. Still he arrived, ready to go at the lighthouse, smiling a bit at the two of them. “No flip flops this time?” Gale did get a look of ‘put on your coat you will be cold when we arrive.’

When Gale arrived he got a large bright grin from Ofelia. The redhead was handing the bandages back over to the tech, she figured just a runic torch would be enough for now, and she finished tucking the item in her belt just in time to see Marcus arrive as well. With both guys now there all she had to do was debrief for the mission and they could totally be on their way. Ofelia didn't know if she should be excited or nervous about what was in store, seeing as it required a full hunter. Things that had a requirement and not a recommendation tended to have her on the edge of both worry and desire to just go out and punch some things.
"Ah'm glad ya could come Gale. There was no one else in mah mind Ah'd rather have wit' me goin' here than ya, on account'a yer hella dependable an' a good shot." Ofelia was trying compliments without sounding too sacrine. She was probably failing miserably and so she turned her attention to Marcus and his comment. He got a mock frown, the teen unable to look even remotely angry at him, and it broke into a grin after a moment. "We're goin' somewhere cold an' if Ah recall correctly ya 'bout tore me down fer 'em last time. Also who knows what Ah could step in, Ah'd hate ta survive the mission but die on account'a an infection from sommin' Ah stepped on." And that....was about as practical as Ofelia could get in any situation but that was also enough idle chatter.
It was time to debrief and then get into the portal like bats out of hell. "Mission is simple - Pyrapit was abandoned after an explosion an' now basically it's a paradise'a FEAR an' some reports are sayin' Insanity?" There was a pause as Ofelia glanced down at the mission briefing in her hand. Thanks to Jason's hard work her reading wasn't as difficult as it used to be but she still sort of skimmed on some words. Thankfully she'd picked two people she doubted would judge her for hesitating while reading something important. If she could play it off as double checking then it was all for the better. "Uh...local authorities closed it off ta tourists after a large bunch went missin' over a period'a time, an' there's a fog there that seems ta be spreadin'. Our job is ta go investigate due ta records'a there bein' large amounts'a portals showin' up as well."
She finished her reading and looked up at the pair she'd called. Her blood was practically boiling with the want to go go go as fast as she could and it was very hard to hide the grin that was plastered on her face. "Since y'all are both full hunters Ah'll leave the mission in yer hands, or at least meanin' Ah'll follow yer leads an' do mah best ta deal damage. So...whenever yer both ready we can head on out, though Gale take it easy wit'cher arm?" Ofelia had totally forgotten about his arm, and the matching bracelets the two of them wore.

He let one shoulder rise and fall in a sort of half shrug, waving a hand. "I'm not that great," he said, slightly embarrassed, but he gave Ofelia's arm a reassuring squeeze as he walked past her, a little bit of a smile tugging at his lips. "I'm sure you're quite competent, don't worry."
Gale tugged at the fur collar of his jacket and listened carefully as she read out their mission, nodding every once in a while to show his understanding. "So we're basically going to this place - Pyrapit," he said. "Gotcha."
He hitched his bag up over his shoulder, the strap of the rifle digging into his arm, and smiled at Marcus and Ofelia. "We'll be fine," he said. "Ready when you are."
Hopefully.Rown WOW LOOK AT THIS AWESOMELY LATE TAG /rolls self off a cliff
