The female walked away from their small camp site to the edge of the waterfalls... This area, was beautiful.. but deadly. Any false move and she could succumb to the dangers of the water.. But likewise, it was beautiful and glorious because of that fact.. She lowed her body on one of the rocks nearest to the edge. Looking down at the forest below.. It reminded her of home. But at the same time, reminded of her new found freedom.. This feeling..
She could now.. focus on what mattered to her. Although, the journey and freedom had it's price. To gain alliances for her pride, but she had taken long detours, in hopes of spending time with her mate, learning him... and falling for him. She wanted to trust him entirely, she wanted him wholesomely, and genuinely.. "I love him..." She said with a smile. upon her maw, in the dead of night as she watched the falls... If they had held her pride ransom, and her mate.. To everyone's surprise... The cold yet calculating Boss Lady, whom although at first seemed bittersweet..

When once so long ago, she had loved another with all her being- yet she had picked her pride over him.. and turned away. But this male was different.. and finally she had found that she loved someone more than safety, more than acceptance and being beloved by many..
