Another cold night, colder than the previous two evenings, Benitoite was surprised there wasn't snow falling yet. Sitting up on a rooftop with a hot cup of espresso in his gloved hands, his legs dangled off the roof top of the town house he was sitting on. His cape hung down behind him gently, pooling on the rooftop behind him, his coat moved to the side so he wasn't seated upon it.
Tonight had been a quite night and he was thankfully for that. He was hoping for a quite night, at least when it came to senshi and knights. He wouldn't mind seeing another officer or some member of the dark mirror court, he really could call people in both groups friends, they would be a break in the quite tonight and not an unwanted one. He'd had his share of senshi as of late and was really being worn thin, he couldn't wait till school winded down and winter vacation kicked in. He'd be on a plane heading for Europe with little thought of Destiny City - till he got to Paris. he was sure he'd be thinking about here while there; he also was sure he'd be teleporting here while on vacation.
Groaning he took a long sip from his cup. He really was caught up in things. He couldn't even give it up for long enough to enjoy, or even have,m a vacation in the proper sense and he knew it. Tossing his hair from his face he chanced a glance down to the alleyway below. It looked like some cat was in a hurry and running away from something - ah...a raccoon. Well, that made sense.

It was a particularly quiet night, but there was another who was not grateful for lapse into silence. It itched at General Obsidian, burrowing just beneath the skin as a constant, irking reminder that life was now more of a game of patience than anything. Though he was older than he'd been, his blood hadn't cooled any with his rise in rank. The only difference now was that he knew how to suppress it, let it simmer and boil until he found the proper time and place to let it run wild.
He'd sensed the power of another general before he'd been able to pinpoint it, but it didn't seem that the other officer had any real intention of hiding. Why would they? Few would dare to take on a Negaverse general head on, not without preparing themselves for inevitable injury. Risky battles, indeed.
Obsidian stepped into a nearby alleyway, canting his gaze upward until it locked onto the thin form of General Benitoite on the roof's edge. "Enjoying yourself, I see." An observation, but the thin smile that spread across his face didn't quite reach his eyes.

He really didn't fear being out in the open where any knight or wandering senshi could find him.As much as he didn't want a fight right now, or any sort of meeting with orders little warriors, he wouldn't turn one down either. He wasn't going to come off as weak to them, or bothered in some way. So when he felt a power signature equal to his own he shifted a bit but as he noted it was a chaos signature he relaxed. He'd tensed up, for a split second, in subconscious preparation for some encounter.
Spotting the figure he tilted his head. "Indeed, a rather quite night. And yourself General?" Of all the Generals he had to run in to it was Obsidian. That man made him nervous, there was something about him that unnerved him.
A sip form his cup followed this inquiry before he shifted and let himself fall from the roof top. Landing on the pavement below he straightened his smaller form.

Obsidan's eyes locked onto the man as he plummeted from the roof without a sound, a predatory light briefly gleaming there. It was gone as soon as Benitoite straightened. He wasn't prey, after all. Blame it on old instincts.
"Well enough. It's a pity, considering. You know there's enough of them out there to at least make decent sport." His tongue wandered against his teeth for a moment, contemplating.
No organized movement as of late. It was enough to make him wonder. "Still, I doubt they're planning anything too unpredictable." At least the man seemed to be in a pleasant enough mood.

"I've had my share of them recently. Though it's unfortunate that one I'd thought I'd killed survived." And what a pity it was. He'd hoped the senshi of tigers had died that night. Now he knew differently and he would handle it, he just needed to come across her.
"I doubt they are planning anything. Not after we crashed a gathering of theirs. I would think that even they'd learn not to plan things." They were disorganized, which worked in their favor, and seemed to not work well together when they were together.
"They make it rather easy to pick them off one by one, in my opinion." From the Captain who couldn't talk about killing, at least not without showing upset over it, to someone who had no issue in talking or thinking about killing. He'd done some growing, something he was proud of.

His brows arched elegantly at that, and Obsidian didn't bother to suppress a laugh, tipping his head back. Who would have thought that squeamish Benitoite could be talking so casually now about a senshi managing to slip away alive. It could have been a clever ruse, really--seeming to lament over the survivors when that had been the plan all along. Still, somehow he didn't think the General would want to risk the retribution that would come from such action.
His teeth still bared with mirth, he refocused on the other General. "Just like flies. You'd think they'd learn that groups are much safer." But no, he wasn't about to complain about a tactical advantage.
"How many, General?" How many starseeds had he ripped from the chests of the girls and boys that would oppose them?

Watching the other laugh he did twitch, not flinch, Obsidian really was an odd one. "Groups...no. Not safer for them. We caught a group of them. A very nice win in fact." He spoke, smiling at the other. He had enjoyed that. Attacking several whom he felt he owed a beating to. He would have taken their starseeds if he could have, but considering he'd been ganged up on that had been impossible.
"They should, if they wish to gather in groups, not power up. I believe that's how someone found them." At least when they had meetings they didn't do it where people could sense them and crash the meeting - that was stupid.
"How many...how many have I killed? Five senshi to date, it would have been six had that senshi of tigers not survived." He hadn't thought she would have, he had no reason to think she'd have survived. But alas she had and she had attacked Bazzite - he would find her and take her out.

Was he bragging? No, somehow Obsidian didn't think so. So, still terrible at teamwork, were they? Chewing absently at his lower lip, the General would eventually offer a small nod. "I suppose it really isn't that surprising, considering their general lack of cohesion. And leadership."
His smile widened at that indulgently. "Five. Not bad at all, General." Stars eeds were star seeds, no matter. Had he eaten them? No--somehow, Obsidian didn't think so. "You've grown." Or had at least been altered so far that he no longer bat an eye at the thought of taking a life. It was how it should be.
"Senshi of Tigers..." If that didn't sound like fun, he didn't know what was. "So I take it you harbor a special place in your heart for her, hmm? I wouldn't miss that encounter for the world."

"Mm, though I suppose their lack of leadership works in our favor, so I'm not hoping they ever decide to work together better." Anything which made fighting, and killing, them easier was good in his opinion. And them not working together made such things far easier.
"It's a number I hope to see grow, the next I'm hoping to add to the list would be a certain Tiger. She does indeed hold a special place in my heart...I'd like to have another date with her. I'll be sure to give you a call when I encounter her next, if you'd like it. "I owe her for hurting my Captain, along with another senshi, and evading what I'd thought was a sure death."
Glancing around, looking at a cat some yards off slinking about, he glanced back to the red head. "We all grow. We either do and we become better agents or we don't...and what's the point then? To be stagnant and serve less and less a purpose?" The poor red haired General was wrong about him eating star seeds, he'd done so once and only once.
