Another day out, resting and leaving the wiggling little dragons to mind themselves, knowing there was room in the cave they called home. Black Amethyst was very tired, hunting so often for so many little ones... once they were old enough they'd learn themselves how to hunt and then... well she would need only worry for future young ones. Now that she was used to them. Her paws, no longer sore, brought her to the usual place, a pond near the sea that she liked to sit at, her eyes shutting as she appreciated the rest that she had. "Calm..." She felt like it would not be this way for long though. Always was that little stirring in her chest that meant something might happen, and so she stayed alert, waiting for the moment something came to her. Even as the sun made her pelt too hot and as the waves began to touch her paws, she waited.

Small red and white wings stretched under the sun.Kaede was out for a walk away from her tree. She had been cooped up for a few days so a walk had seemed like a good thing. And she needed to hunt anyways, and something told her it would be a good day to go out.
Climbing over the hill side she saw the shore line, it was pretty here. But she was more for the air than the water. Strolling along she came up on a dark purple heap lying in the grass. "Hello." She said

So this was it? The feeling was calmed, a soft sigh passing from the guardian's lips as she turned her maned head to look at the dragon. Large as they all were, which was fine. Though this had wings, an intriguing trait. "Good day." Her voice was smooth, slightly tired even as she moved, paw splashing the water she was near. "Am I in your way?"

"Not at all, i thought you may be hurt." It wasnt uncommon, many of the dragons found it fun to torment anything that was smaller that they were. But this female smelled like dragons, "You are a guardian i assume?" glancing around she didnt see any eggs or worms, so they must be elsewhere. Kaede loved children, but never stayed in once place long enough to have any.

"I am. Though my charges are within home." She shook out her mane with a sigh, looking over the other before her. "I assume that your own guardian is alright with your wandering?" She liked to know where her's were, after all, they were all so young.

Kaede looked down at the ground. "My guardian died, i am alone." She said and looked back at the guardian. "She was killed by another dragon a long time ago." Kaede was on the older side, having been alive for 80 years already. But time had seemed to stop for her since she lost her guardian.

"I am sorry for your loss. I take it you wander for that reason?" She raised a brow. "Searching for another or...simply companionship? If this subject bothers you we could move on." The female didn't seem alright with making another uncomfortable.

"No i have come to terms, i believe the universe has a path for me. To share my life would be nice, to have a family and all that. But we shall see." She said and smiled at the guardian. "But you seem to have your hands full with your charges." Kaede laid down on the soft ground to be more at eye level with the guardian, it only seemed fair.

"I see." She nodded lightly, dual tone eyes shimmering a bit. "I chose to take a break today... four younglings is a bit much for one my size, I only hope they all choose to stay within the cave and not venture out." She looked over her shoulder. "Several are...very energetic. But, they are... a family of sorts? I've never been too in touch with my own so I am unsure."

"Dragons believe their guardians to be the same as their mother or father. So to those babies you are the world, especially if they did not know their birth parents." She explained, "Family is who you love, and where you find home, not whose blood you share."

"A good way to look at it." She smiled slightly. "The young ones are rather sweet... one is a bit nippy, another a bit cold, and two are simply very playful. I think of them as my own, though I do not know how it is to have any young." She settled her paw in the puddle. "I know the whereabouts of one's parents. I plan to visit with their son."

"That is kind of you, but four is a lot to handle, and when they start to get bigger, or breath fire. You will have your hands full." She said and looked out onto the water, "But being with four worms is better than being alone, never forget that."

Her ears quivered slightly before she choose to speak. "Would you like to rest in the cave? Anytime you come by it is perfectly acceptable." Amethyst knew when rest was needed it was always nice to have a safe place for it. "A pawfull they all are already."

Kaede nodded, "I would enjoy that, i love children too maybe i can entertain them for a bit so you can take care of yourself." She said alway willing to help a struggling mother.
