Ah, winter. It was his season. The Stag waited every year for winter to come about. It was snowing and cold and grey skied, just the way he liked it. A grin appeared on the blue boil's face as he wandered through the freshly fallen snow a way away from the monster dorms. Yesterday he'd participated in a snowball fight, and while his aim was rusty, the joy that came with it was there. It might be some freak status effect, but for now he was content and happy.
He was wearing a pair of dark green shorts and a lighter forest green, short sleeved shirt because, for once, he didn't have to bundle up to keep his cod to himself. Everyone would be cold. His hair was slowly to starting to turn white as well. It started at the base, naturally and extended into the darkest blue of his hair. He had it tied back, out of his face and off of his neck, into a tight pony tail that looped under for a messy sort of bun. Uller's birthday was coming up soon and he would be considered an adult by his homeland's standards. This always happened when a male of his race became an adult. Their hair would change white, and he would grow a taller, more muscular and bulky, much like a Stag of any deer race. His antlers would be growing another prong on the top of his head, and even the skull pin couldn't stop that.
Despite this hard time he was going to be going through, Uller wasn't depressed by it, or put off int he slightest. Maybe it was the Joy, but he was starting to welcome it. Maybe then when he picked his next fight with Mac he would stand something of a chance instead of being treated like a punching bag.
Ah well. With all this snow about, he couldn't let his mind dwell on that for long!
What would he do first? A snowboil? Yes. That was it! And so the process began to roll the first of the balls for his snowboil. He was probably going to get the strangest looks because of his dress, but to him, this was very mild. There was no blizzards, no hard winds. Just a nice, crisp snow day.

Day 2 of Log: Snow is still present and has yet to have eaten me. All is well.
Tomoko actually wrote that in her journal before she bundled herself back up into her horrendous orange sweater that she'd bought from Medea, her matching-as-ugly purple knitted hat, and her fortunately not as ugly purple boots before it was time to head outside to play some more. While it didn't snow much back home, Tomoko really liked the snow.
Sure it was a little cold, but sometimes it could be a little hot too and it was easier to make oneself un-cold than it was to make oneself un-hot. At least by the logic of one who was covered in way too much fur.
Fur and hair, all golden and sunny unlike the weather. Tomoko stopped to look at what was left of the snow castle she'd been starting on, crossing her arms thoughtfully, before sighing. It would never look as nice as it had before without a little elbow grease, and frankly when people kept vandalizing it it wasn't really worth trying to keep working on....
but the kitsune settled in to start packing snow back onto it anyways, practically humming as she did so and slowly making her way around the outer walls to start patching them in. She paused, however, when she noticed a boil in very odd dress going about his own snow-packing task.
She'd seen him..somewhere...? He looked somewhat familiar, but a name didn't come easily to her. Hmm...
"Hey! What are you gonna make?" she asked, tone as friendly as ever.

The crunching of someone else's footsteps caught his attention and his long ears flicked this way and that before he heard a soft voice ring through the silence. Blinking those odd black eyes, Uller turned his head and looked at Tomoko. Oh, yes. Jack had introduced the two no too long ago, but her name escaped him. He hadn't really talked to her after the introduction.
His hands had stopped moving as he looked over her unfortunate attire and sighed. Some people didn't know how to coordinate colors, but that was fine. He supposed winter gear was hard to shop for when you're main focus was to keep warm.
"Ah. I was going to make a snowboil." He said, tail flicking this way and that. She looked like she was practically waddling in her gear. "Forgive me, but I can't seem to place a name with your face. I know Jack introduced us, but..." He trailed off, feeling slightly bad about it.

Hey, purple and orange totally worked together. Even Shehk would have vouched for that. But it hadn't been brought up, so it was a non-issue to Tomoko who probably didn't even care about the little details matching up. She wasn't nearly vain enough for such things.
"Ohhh, a snowboil. Those are kind of fun." Tomoko chirped back honestly, her six tails all seeming to wag in a disjointed unison. "Mm? Oh! I'm Tomoko." she was more than happy to reintroduce herself, giving the boil a low bow (her asian was showing again) before straightening back up again. "And I..ah......" she motioned towards him, a faint amount of color filling her face as she awkwardly pulled her horrendous-sweater up over her face to try and mask her shame.
Clearly they were both failures at names.

Maybe it was just the fact the purple and orange didn't look good on the boil and that's why he thought her clothing color choice was so unfortunate. Still, he couldn't help but watch her tails as they wiggled like that as she talked. It was oddly fascinating, seeing something with so many tails. Ah well.
Listening to her voice, Uller gave a nod and a small laugh when she bowed again, followed by coloring like that. "That is right, Tomoko.. I remember now," he said, recalling the meeting a few days ago. Sighing a little as she tried to cover up, he shook his head.
"Uller. I do not fault you for not remembering it if I could not remember yours. Do not hide. Come help me instead, hm?" She seemed like the kind who would want to make a snowboil. Did she know how? Ah, this could prove entertaining in a way. Uller was far less embarrassed knowing she failed with names as well. His name was difficult to pronounce, so honestly, he wouldn't be offended if anyone had a hard time remembering it, or even pronounced it wrong!

It was extra hilarious to listen to Tomoko repeat his name, as she struggled to make it sound like 'Uller' instead of 'Urru' which is what her unfortunately not-brought-up-with-L's-accent was trying to do. It just made her want to hide in her sweater even more after he prompted her to not do so anymore.
"I'msorryyyyy..." she keened, pulling her hat down over her ears anxiously, even after he told her it wasn't necessary to do so. Uaaahhhhhh.....
She looked from her project, towards the one he was working on, debating silently for a moment, before she turned away from her half-fixed castle to start up a new ball of snow herself, packing it carefully with her pink little fingers. She probably would have been wise to invest in some gloves.
"What kind of snowboil are we making?" she asked, constantly glancing over to see what he was doing.

Just the way she was going about doing things made Uller feel like she was a kid sister that he never really had. How did she even do that? He thought Desu was the only one allowed to be adorable all the time. Shaking his head, he continued to watch her hide and struggle. His first name wouldn't help her any, either. Glasere was a mouthful for anyone to say unless one spoke his language. Trying not to laugh at her, he turned back to start rolling the big snow ball in the rest of the snow, watching it gather slowly.
"Well, I hadn't exactly thought of that yet. I usually start with three large balls of snow and then pile them up and go from there. I'm something of a snow artist, being an Arctic monster and what not. Is there a type of snowboil you want to see? It could even be a snowghoul if you want." He shrugged and continued to roll the ball. Those black eyes of his would glance over at her to make sure she was doing all right, but it was pretty hard to mess up a snowboil.
Ugh, why couldn't he be entertaining like her? He failed at being a host. Too serious.

Tomoko didn't crouch to roll her snow ball, but rather stood bow-legged and bent over, rolling it in large motions and then having to run after it before it got too far away, before pushing it in a different direction. "So I just have to make this big?" she asked, looking towards Uller for confirmation. "Like.. how big? This big..?" One would have expected to look over to see Tomoko making a very wide open gesture with her arms. Instead, they'd be treated to an illusion of a snowball that was even bigger than she was, the little kitsune somewhere in the middle of it. "Or this big?" a smaller illusion, but still massively huge compared to the tiny little ghoul.
"What's the difference between a snowboil and a snowghoul?" Tomoko asked as she continued her rolling - which was getting a bit more difficult as the snow got bigger, making her have to push herself against it a little bit more. It was an impressive feat for a ghoul who probably couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag at any given moment. She'd be the most convenient kidnap victim in the world - no fuss, no fight.
"I mean, we didn't get snow back home, so I've never actually made one before..."

While he was rolling, he heard Tomoko talk about how big to make the first ball. Stopping and looking over at her, he actually laughed and shook his head. "No, something about like..." He made a medium sized gesture with his hands. "We can make the big ones if you really want. It'll be hard to stack, but not completely impossible." He stopped and put a cold hand to his chin, thinking. It didn't even phase him, the cold.
"Ah," he said, looking over at her, tilting his head this way and that. "Well, a snowboil is bult more like a boil and a ghoul looks more like a ghoul. For a snow boil we would have to pack snow between the balls to give it a more rectangular shape. For the ghoul, we make it more curvy because ghouls tend to have a lot more curves than boils." He nodded, hoping that explained it well enough for her. He didn't want to have to tell her the differences between boils and ghouls. Honestly, she looked like she was old enough to know that for herself! And explaining would just embarrass him and maybe even terrify her.
He had a feeling if he made Tomoko uncomfortable he would have to answer to Jack. Jack didn't look like he was one to be trifled with, honestly. He looked laid back, but it was the quiet ones you had to look out for.
"Understand?"

"Oooooohhhhh..okay. I wasn't sure if that meant like...." she made a face, crinkling her nose. "Well...umm..." Uh oh, awkward zone forming. "Some people just put boobs on their snowmen." Omijack, she just said boobs. She looked mortified by this and all but pulled the sweater up over her head to hide her face in shame.
"But that makes sense, yeah..." Meep. She'd embarrassed herself more than she likely would have embarrassed both of them if Uller had tried to go into more..technical details....
Still, it was much easier to get to work on rolling up snow that wasn't bigger than her when she was already struggling to roll something that barely was at knee-height on the kitsune who had to actually brace herself against the grass and push really hard...
just to land on her face in failure.
Whoops.

When she said that his own cheeks turned a light shade of purple. Purple because his blood was red and his skin was blue, so purple it was. Clearing his throat, he just gave a soft nod and a sigh. "I... do not do things such as that. I find it fairly distasteful, honestly," he said, contemplating and just shook his head. He'd never had a cousin do it either. Then again, most of his cousins were girls and the ones who were boys were older than him. Ah, well, whatever.
Watching her roll the ball and then fall on her face, he laughed again and wandered over to help her back up. "Look, we'll push it together. It's nearly ready! It can be the head." He nodded a little and put his hands on the snowball, waiting for Tomoko to get beside him.

Tomoko kept her sweater up around her nose. "It's so... so..." she was probably turning more pink than Charlie's hair at this point. "scandalous." But it seemed like Uller agreed that they would not be putting breasts on the snowman. Thank Jack.
Because Tomoko wouldn't have been able to handle such a thing. Then again, Tomoko was so flat she likely didn't have much experience with such things at all.
She took his offered help with a lot of 'thank yous' and a lot more bowing in shame of her inability to stay righted before she got ready to push their would-be 'head' some more, pressing her hands against the snow and putting on her best mighty-little-kitsune face. It looked a bit more like a 'mighty kitten' face. Not very fierce.
"Okay! I'm ready when you are!"

The bows just made him smile and shake his head. Honestly, being nice wasn't hard when one was joyful. Ah, Tomoko was too adorable for her own good. In all honesty, Uller hoped she stayed this way. She seemed young, though he could tell she was older than him. Probably not by much, but she seemed very young at heart.
Somehow he could see her being a very good friend.
He really shouldn't laugh as much as he was, but the way she was trying so hard was endearing. He was blaming the fact it was his favorite season. That's why he was so happy right now. Letting his ears flick a bit when she said ready, he slowly gave the snowball a push.
Honestly, he was willing to do this by himself, but she seemed determined. "We can make decorations around him, or her, if you want, as well," he said with a little grunt.

Tomoko was full of apologies for those who were inclined to test how long she'd keep apologizing for mundane reasons. Uller clearly wasn't one of those variety, however. Which meant her apologies would be saved for another day.
The snow definitely moved a lot more easily with the Stag's help, Tomoko's ears perking up excitedly. Sure he could have done it by herself, but she was helping! She seemed to be very excited by this whole helping prospect. "Oooohh! That'd be fun!" she beamed. "What kinda decorations? I think it should be a him, that might be easier to make it a big ol' rectangle than to make it all..." she tried to motion with one hand, but instead focused and popped a tiny illusion of a way-too-curvy snowghoul.
... ....
She had a strange imagination.

With her gesture he automatically thought Lifen. She had way too many curves for one ghoul. Shaking his head at that, he just gave an amused face and a sigh. Tomoko wasn't the only one with a weird imagination. "A boil then, then. We can make him.. a mini pet. I think that would be good for him, don't you?" he asked, not meaning to treat her like a child. Uller really couldn't help it. This fox ghoul was so much like one of his little cousins, it hurt. Innocent and adorable and you just wanted to pinch their cheeks off! Once it was a decent size, he stopped them both and thought. "We need at least one more ball. I have the second over there," he pointed to his ball. It was bigger than this one by a lot, which meant they needed the middle one.
