- Choose ONE of the LOCATIONS, and then tie it to the PROMPTS below! You can do these SOLO or in GROUPS (everyone choose ONE location as long as one of your characters is from that clan)
LOCATIONS
Conquest:
gaia_crown [ Madagascar ] : For some reason, this place seems just really hard to infect. As if one sneeze in Alaska would shut their boarders down. However once infected, no doubt the virus will spread quickly.
gaia_crown [ New York City ]: With A high concentration of people and people coming and going from all over the world every day, it will be easy to infect humans with your virus and have it spread.
gaia_crown [ Russia ]: While cold, few expect a virus to appear with deadly results. Much less a virus that one would normally find in the tropics or from various domestic food sources.
gaia_crown [ India ] : Viruses plague this region commonly, making yours stand out might be difficult. But, with so many others, it will make it all that much harder for the humans to identify your virus quickly.
Famine:
gaia_crown [ China ]: A bountiful land, your focus will be in the valleys of the Yangtze and Hwanh Ho rivers. A land so plentiful… you’ll be taking the people and having them starve all while leaving the lands so pristine. After all, how can people starve if their crops grow so lush to provide for them? You do get the sense however that you are touching things of conquest and they can’t stop you… You also can’t help but wonder if you break something shiny and old, will they all shudder?
gaia_crown [ West Africa ]: A wide expanse, famine happens here and there commonly. But your goal is simple. Starving them from what little they have. The food will go untouched. Each other? Who is to say.
gaia_crown [ Israel ]: The land of milk and- well. You’ll be having none of that. They wish to drink milk? They’re better off drinking sand in your opinion.
gaia_crown [ Brazil ]: Such a vivid, lively place. What else is lively? You. While you enjoy a nice cup of joe, have Joe go drink something else. Perhaps some of that parasite and bacteria infected river water.
War:
gaia_crown [ Iceland ]: A nation with so few conflicts, it is time for the green landscape to run red with blood. Internal strife, let ice run into the veins of the humans here, as they mercilessly begin to turn upon one another.
gaia_crown [ Canada ]: A very difficult place to start a conflict but… If you can make them mildly upset? Well, it’s better than nothing. A true horseman of war however, will turn these peaceful peoples into blood thirsty maniacs.
gaia_crown [ New Zealand ]: Such a small island means that conflicts can escalate to take over rather quickly. Go in and begin the bloodbath. Leave nothing of peace to this tiny nation
gaia_crown [ Japan ]: Modern, if a bit crazy, some of their experiments seem to be more of famine’s domain, their tradition of conquest’s flavor. Yet they have the potential for war. Seek those in power and cause them strife and woe, let them target friend and foe alike. Revenge is often a flavor so favored by the powerful is it not?
Death:
gaia_crown [ Denmark ]: Peaceful, Rather advanced, Healthy Denmark. Ruin them by decimating the people with quick precision. While Conquest might infect to draw it out, the deaths you bring are swift and painful as they will fall where they stand. None may be spared or escape once you have touched them.
gaia_crown [ Singapore ]: Supposedly healthy, send them to their graves in droves. Aim high, take the first borns, the sons, leave their families in tatters.
gaia_crown [ Saudi Arabia ]: A bit warm for your tastes decimate whole families. Not even a babe must survive. Take our whole communities if you can. Aim High and low.
gaia_crown [ France ]: Turmoil brews under the skin here. Use it and slay the common people. Brutal carnage, swift and painful deaths from the insides, let them rot from the inside out. A fine cuisine, the fear of death from within. Leave those in power untouched.
TASK
CONQUEST TASK
The virus is already made, yet it lacks a proper mode of transference. As is, the virus is weak, needing more fear honed to the area which you will be releasing it. The Viruses all appear as glowing balls of light, no bigger than a ladybug. But once refined, they will take a different shape better suited to where you’re headed. To refine the virus, focus your fear and will it to travel to various carriers. To travel, survive, and infect.
gaia_crown [ Stage 1 ]: Create Virus using area specific type. Each area previously rolled for has a type of virus best suited for that environment. Your task will be to roll to determine how much HP your virus has in that environment. All viruses start with a base of 3 HP.
Areas are broken up as thus:
Madagascar-> Insect/parasite born
New York-> Airborn
Russia->Water/Fluid born
India-> Animal/contact born.
Rolling 5 d4, each corresponding with it’s designated area. Max HP for ANY virus is 5.
1-> +1 to Parasite/Insect HP
2-> +1 to Air HP
3-> +1 to fluid/water HP
4-> +1 to animal/contact HP
IE: I was rolled for Russia. Rolling 5 d4, I end up rolling 1, 3, 3, 4, 5. This means my virus has 5 HP, the max. Remember, all viruses start with 3 HP. If you roll no zone bonus, better luck next time.
gaia_crown [ Stage 2: ] Slaying the Human.
An optional stage. Once your virus is completed, you may KILL one human. It can be done however you like, with your virus being accelerated due to your personal influence, or by your weapon, or maybe your mount just tramples them to death. But the heirs are allowing the killing of one for a good infection. Who knows, maybe killing the one might help FEAR harvesting later on? If you kill using the virus the progress is thus:
1- Rash, followed by blistering of the skin.
2- Puss filled boils break out
3- The body begins to bloat retaining liquids. Movement is painful and it becomes harder to speak
4- Bloating replaced by sweating profusely, chills, can’t eat or drink. Hallucinations of death and decay begin.
5- internal organs begin to slowly degenerate. It feels like someone is eating you apart from the inside. Hallucinations worsen.
6- The body seems to begin to recover, all symptoms vanish.
7- After the moment of reprieve, the virus strikes out in full fury, all symptoms beginning to mesh together. Pure agony rips through the human for several hours before their body begins to rot from the inside, killing them.
ONE HUMAN KILLING PER PERSON. Remember, at this stage, your goal is INFECTION, not full out death. Think of these killings as a taste of the fear your infection will bring.
gaia_crown [ Stage 3: ] Releasing.
Releasing it in the wrong area/medium for their location results in… a very low infection rate. Releasing it in it’s natural medium results in a mass infection. Some areas are a bit more lenient to a different form of infection than others as well. In the end, aim for making the FEAR flow.
Roll 1 d100. Your Virus HP takes -1HP for each release. Roll until HP of the virus is 0.
1: MASS INFECTION! You’ve managed to not only release your virus in the right area, but near a large number of humans. +3 FEAR
2-20: Wandering near a river, you place your virus into the ice water. Just down the river, you can see pumps of some sort… And even further down you can see farmland. +2 Fear if Water based, +1 if animal based, 0 if others
21-40: A group of humans are sitting close to each other, laughing and throwing cards down on a table of sorts. Placing your virus on the cards, their filthy hands spread it with ease. A few flies linger around their disgusting bodies. +2 for Contact based, +1 for Parasite, 0 if others.
41-60: The winds pick up around you, cold rain hitting your face. Setting your virus to the winds, a nearby group a children are busy at play. Even better, one already looks ill from something else. +2 Fear if Air based, +1 if water based, 0 if others
61-80: Garbage lines the street and you can’t help but scowl at the filth these humans leave behind. Still, maggots, flies- they are everywhere, and will carry your virus along the wind. +2 Fear if Insect based, +1 if air based, 0 if others
81-90: As you wander the area, you notice something a bit odd. Humans gathered singing something. Something far too happy for your tastes. One is even wearing a too bright and colorful woolly alpaca fur sweater. Their joyful behavior must end. Quickly finding the medium needed, you manage to infect them all, sending them into painful coughing fits. Let them try to sing now. +2 FEAR to ANY/ALL
91-99: Accidental Release! On your way to release the virus in your target you trip/slip/run into another horseman… and your virus goes harmlessly into a different carrier. One not designed for it. Ancestors curse it all. +0 FEAR
100: MASS INFECTION! You’ve managed to not only release your virus in the right area, but near a large number of humans. +3 FEAR
gaia_crown [ Collection: ] Once you have used up your virus, post the FEAR TOTAL at the bottom of your post in BOLD, RED, SIZE 16 FONT. If your FEAR total is 0, you may try again. Granted, the horsemen in question might get a certain look of shame….
How is Fear Gathered- their FRAGMENT naturally absorbs the fear they generate. When done, Horsemen are expected to return to the lair and pool the FEAR HERE
Famine Task
While normally famine goes in to destroy crops that is not all of what they do. Powerful toxins, they can alter the senses. Cause starvation from other means. This time? They will make humans hunger for everything but food. Let the madness take them as they die from starvation.. or trying to eat that which really they should not. Living or dead. Or maybe something that never lived at all. In order to start this you’ll need to help create the toxins which will be transferred by the winds and later contact.
gaia_crown [ Stage 1 ]- Brewing the toxin.
The toxin for all famine horsemen is the same, and thus, will need to follow the same recipe. ‘A little goes a long way’ is very true. Taking the least ingredients will be the best course of action in this case. But to get the biggest batch? You’ll need to boost it with your own FEAR for that. Toxins are in liquid form until FEAR activated. They are held in small round, glass vials and are colored the same as your horseman’s Fragment. ‘Brewing’ takes place in a pestle with mortar over a fire. Your Ingredients are a star leaf (I’m not explaining this one), blister berries (bright red, hard berries that emit a bitter odor and taste), Elder’s delight (a brown nut much like a chestnut), and a death sprout, (think brussel sprouts that look like skulls).
Rolling 20 d4, your goal will to be getting four ‘sets’ of ingredients. A set is rolling the number ‘4’ four times, (can be in any place in the roll). For every set you complete, your toxin will gain +1 Range. All Toxins have a base range of 3. Max a toxin range is 5. Range is used in dispersal, (Stage 3)
IE: I roll 1, 2, 2, 4 ,3, 1, 3, 3, 4, 2, 1, 2, 2, 4 ,3, 1, 3, 3, 4, 2. From that I have one set. I have grabbed enough ingredients. My toxin now has a range of 4.
gaia_crown [ Stage 2: ] Slaying the Human.
An optional stage. Once your toxin is completed, you may KILL one human. It can be done however you like, with your toxin being accelerated due to your personal influence, or by your weapon, or maybe your mount just tramples them to death. But the heirs are allowing the killing of one for a good brewing. Who knows, maybe killing the one might help FEAR harvesting later on? If you kill using the toxin the possible effects are:
1- The human crave begins to crave plant matter that is toxic to them. Nothing heavily poisonous, but that which they cannot properly digest. Or leave their bodies.
2- The human craves to eat raw meat. Any meat. Cured meats or ‘smoked’ meaks they have no tasted for. It must be raw, bloody. Notably, they lack a craving for human flesh at this time.
3- The human craves to eat rotting material. Anything so long as it has begun to decay. Notably, they lack a craving for human flesh at this time.
4- The human craves that which they shouldn’t. Attempting to eat food right from the ovens, attempting to stick their hands into boiling oil for fried foods, frozen foods that shatter their teeth- They crave food that is not yet safe to eat.
5- The human craves things known to not be ‘drinkable’. Mud, sand, pond scum, if it doesn’t require chewing, if it’s not good for them- they want it.
6- The human craves that which had never been food at all. Paints, glues, computer keys, books, wire, fabrics- anything man made the want to eat.
If a person survives their initial craving? Due to your acceleration of the toxin, a few short hours later…
They crave human flesh. Living or dead, and will do anything to get it. The won’t kill each other before eating. No, they will attempt to eat each other alive.
ONE HUMAN KILLING PER PERSON. Remember, at this stage, your goal is STARVATION, not full out death. Think of these killings as a taste of the fear your toxin will bring. The effects begin slowly and build over the course of hours.
gaia_crown [ Stage 3- Releasing. ]
The toxin must be FEAR activated, and from your location it will spread over a range and take hold of all humans who breathe in the fumes. After? Those who come into contact with the ones who starve will fall into a similar state, activated by their own natural FEAR. The FEAR of toxin will latch onto them and so the toxin range might travel.
Roll 1 d100: Range determines how many times you may roll. Roll until Range is consumed.
1: PERFECT LOCATION! Not only do you manage to get children, but adults, elders- best yet, you get them in a communal area. Aren’t city centers great? +3 FEAR
2-10: Wrong Location! You release but… this looks like farmland… in fact, there doesn’t seem to be a human around for miles… +0 FEAR
11-30: You managed to get a large train of metal vehicles passing with many humans inside. Little humans. Children. Children who likely have families. +2 FEAR
31-50: Your toxin is carried by the wind to what appears to be a very official looking building. Not many people are inside however. Is this some sort of holiday or day off or something? +1 FEAR
51-70: Perfection! The wind carries your toxin to be over what looks like a festival or party of sorts. Or maybe it’s a political rally. Whatever, point is, lots of humans, lots now infected. +2 FEAR
71-90: Hrm, you were right next to what you thought would be a large host of human dwellings, but most are empty. Looks like you missed the ‘For sale’ signs. But you did get a fair number of vagrants. Hey, take what you can get. +1 FEAR
91-99: Wrong Location! You release but… this looks like farmland… in fact, there doesn’t seem to be a human around for miles… +0 FEAR
100: PERFECT LOCATION! Not only do you manage to get children, but adults, elders- best yet, you get them in a communal area. Aren’t city centers great? +3 FEAR
gaia_crown [ Collection: ] Once you have used up your virus, post the FEAR TOTAL at the bottom of your post in BOLD, RED, SIZE 16 FONT. If your FEAR total is 0, you may try again. Granted, the horsemen in question might get a certain look of shame….

War Tasks:
To cause strife, to cause chaos, that was the their way. Some wars needed a bit of a push after all. To make people see enemies where there are none at all. To make them go from loving to hating, trust friend to most devious rival. War’s battle call can sweep across the land, sending all who hear the calls to kill and fight. Now on this day, the day of war, it is time to let lose the hound and have them howling. Each clans member of war is taught the cry, the FEAR needed for it. But they’ll need to give it their all to send the humans into the battle frenzy needed.
gaia_crown [ Stage 1:] Mastering the Battle Cry.
The battle cry is simple enough, but it must be just right to not only get the most humans, but as many times as possible in as many places. Your task will be to roll to determine how many times you can give it your all. All war horsemen are okay and can make three SHOUTS. AKA all battle cries start with a base of 3.
Rolling 2 d4, you need the dice to match in order have gained skill in the battle cry. You may roll 4 times. For each matching dice you have, (IE: 1, 1) You add 1 Shout to your battle cry. AKA, +1 to your battle cry. The most a horseman can shout is 5 times. This is used in stage 3.
gaia_crown [ Stage 2: Slaying the Human. ]
An optional stage. Once you master your battle cry, you may KILL one human. It can be done however you like, with your battle cry being accelerated due to your personal influence, or by your weapon, or maybe your mount just tramples them to death. But the heirs are allowing the killing of one for a good brewing. Who knows, maybe killing the one might help FEAR harvesting later on? If you kill using the Battle Cry the possible effects are:
1- The one who hears your battle cry in fine until they see a flower. Any kind, in any form- images of plants going wild plague them, other humans turning into deadly vine creatures with thorns for teeth, vines wrapping around necks to choke- The humans feel the need to chop up their hallucinations.
2- The human is fine… up until they hear an animal. The animal’s cry is amplified as the people around them begin to shift form… becoming grotesque half human half animals. Shooting them and putting the down is the only way the human can save themselves.
3- The human seems alright until they hear their name. The speaker becomes a writhing mass of dead bodies, at the center of it all, is a mirror image of the human affected. The enemy can’t be killed quickly, it must be captured… then pulled apart. Once done… they are free until they hear their name again.
4- The human is normal before they hear laughter. It’s painful, mocking. In fact, the whole world seems to be mocking them, cruel and heartless, they will take revenge by cutting out tongues and ripping out eyes.
5- The sound of fear, a scream. It echoes endlessly, only leaving them when they attack the mouth less, eyeless shapes around them. Oddly, the screams sounds a bit like their own…
6- It is not a sound that causes this human to begin their decent into bloodlust and madness. But a kiss. Any kiss will do. But the kiss was that of death. Consumed with hate, the kill who kissed them and all they can see are the bodies of the walking dead, ready to kiss them, to devour their very soul.
A quick note: War is causing ‘fake triggers’ that make humans see violent hallucinations which they then feel a need to attack. They truly believe what they are seeing is real and all logic has left them.
If a person resists or simply goes mad? Due to your acceleration of the battle cry, a few short hours later…
They go berserk. Killing anything and everything that resembles a human. Oddly, if a human shaped object is attacked and doesn’t bleed after they attempt to gut it? They will realize it’s fake and move on.
ONE HUMAN KILLING PER PERSON. Remember, at this stage, your goal is CONFLICT, not full out death. Think of these killings as a taste of the fear your battle cry will bring. The effects begin slowly and build over the course of hours.
gaia_crown [ Stage 3 ] The Choir
Going to the location you have chosen, you pour your fear into your voice, letting out the most ferocious war cry as perfect a pitch and tone as you can. Infused with your fear it caries, and all who hear it slowly fall into the madness of their bloodlusts. If someone is attacked and survives? FEAR latches onto FEAR, they too will join in the war frenzy.
Rolling 1 d100, see how well the humans in the area react to your battle cry. Each roll consumes a SHOUT.
1: Perfect Acoustics! You manage to find a natural amphitheatre for your voice, the sudden yell having human suddenly one edge as a sudden chill runs down their spines. In fact, in the distance you can already spy one human falling victim to their inner demons. +3 FEAR
2-10: Whoops! You attempt to get in a good shout but a passing horseman bumps you in their excitement, making you cough, losing your voice. Looks like you might need to kick someone’s a** later. +0 FEAR
11-30: You let lose near what looks like an official government building. Inside you hear a scream of terror- That was rather quick. +2 FEAR
31-50: Crammed together, humans in mass transit, you shout and a few tremble, but no one succumbs then and there. Pity. +1 FEAR
51-70: A building full of people come to watch a game of sorts. One team is no better than the other. The sport? Doesn’t matter. Not enough gore. Your battle cry quickly fixes that problem however. +2 FEAR
71-90: Humans standing in lines. Lines. And more Lines. For what you’re not sure. But- they are already agitated. A shout make them flinch, but they are stubborn. They’ll fall eventually. +1 FEAR
91-99: Whoops! You attempt to get in a good shout but a passing horseman bumps you in their excitement, making you cough, losing your voice. Looks like you might need to kick someone’s a** later. +0 FEAR
100: Perfect Acoustics! You manage to find a natural amphitheatre for your voice, the sudden yell having human suddenly one edge as a sudden chill runs down their spines. In fact, in the distance you can already spy one human falling victim to their inner demons. +3 FEAR
gaia_crown [ Collection: ] Once you have used up your virus, post the FEAR TOTAL at the bottom of your post in BOLD, RED, SIZE 16 FONT. If your FEAR total is 0, you may try again. Granted, the horsemen in question might get a certain look of shame….

Death Tasks:
How often have you gone in last? Each time, Every time? It does not matter, death is patient. At the end of the others, it is your clan humans fear most of all. The ultimate end, the true unknown, and when it takes those so healthy so randomly, unexpectedly- humans so loathe to lack answers. When they cannot solve why one has die they fear. It is this FEAR that you will bring. This FEAR that you shall create and bring about with but a simple mark. The mark of Death.
gaia_crown [ Stage 1- The Mark ]
The Mark is fairly simple. That a human marked shall have a black spot appear upon their hand, growing into the spiral of the clans, getting redder, brighter, until death takes them. Simple, agonizing death. Creating a death mark involves a simple enchantment to start with, one which is spread by contact. Visual contact. Looking into the eyes of the condemned, the FEAR will react to a human’s natural gaze and he need to avoid it. But how does this kill them? Simple, as the mark moves out from the spot on their hand their insides begin to get a little..too healthy. Cells multiple rapidly- humans call this ‘cancer’.
In order to make the Mark you’ll need to have it work to somewhat match the time zone of your area, otherwise it won’t work properly to your assigned area. Your task will to be altering the FEAR of the mark to line up with the sun and stars… and your fear. Rolling 4d4, you’ll be determining how long your mark takes in the environment you’re at. All Marks start with a base of 3 ‘HOURS’.
Roll results-
1- Denmark +1
2- Singapore +1
3- Saudi Arabia +1
4- France +1
If you roll in your zone, congrats, add +1 to your total hours. If you roll nothing matching… oh well. Max Mark time is 5 hours.
IE: I am in France. I roll 2, 1, 1, 4. This means I can add a +1 to my hours. I now have a total of 4 hours.
gaia_crown [ Stage 2: Slaying the Human. ]
An optional stage. Once your mark is completed, you may KILL one human. It can be done however you like, with your mark being accelerated due to your personal influence, or by your weapon, or maybe your mount just tramples them to death. But the heirs are allowing the killing of one for a good marking. Who knows, maybe killing the one might help FEAR harvesting later on? If you kill using the mark the places ‘cancer’ forms are:
1- Bone. Painful, the bone cells grow this way and that, some humans sprouting horns, spikes- but all are ripping them apart. And that’s just what you can see from the outside.
2- Skin. Skin begins to thicken and harden until humans are hardly able to move. Their now touch flesh is harder to pierce, but it’s also rotting away in various places, creating infections.
3- Lung. The human begins to cough up flecks yet nothing comes up. It’s becoming harder to breathe. Inside, the cells of their lungs are massing, taking up space needed for precious oxygen. Soon, they will run out and die.
4- Brain. Their own body begins to attack their minds, causing them to lose control of bodily functions, spouting of gibberish and nonsense. They seem to be going mad rather than dying, but soon enough, grey matter will be nothing but a mass of dead cells… and a dead human.
5- Heart- The human’s chest begins to get tight as the cell walls thicken, slowly turning the muscle into nothing more than a useless clump of cells. Maybe they’ll have a heart attack. Who knows.
6- Combo x2- The human not only suffers from one of above, but another. What a way to go.
7- Anything not mentioned- You are free to use one not mentioned but- these are horsemen. They want brutal, grostesque, as much suffering as possible. Think sci-fi horror almost.
Recap: Once marked, the black dot again, moves out in a spiral, getting redder and redder. When the spiral mark of the four clans is fully formed and is vibrant red, the human is ready to die. Once dead- the mark turns an ashen grey.
ONE HUMAN KILLING PER PERSON. Remember, at this stage, your goal is MARKING, not full out death. Think of these killings as a taste of the fear your marked victims will bring.
gaia_crown [ Stage 3- Marking ]
Having your mark aligned to the wrong area can be well… bad. You want humans to see each other, spread the mark. Some places are a bit more lenient with times, but do try to get it right.
Roll 1 d100. For each hour you have, you may roll. Roll until you have 0 Hours remaining.
1: MASS MARKING. Someone is on stage speaking to a large crowd. Their eyes on screen, live. Will it work? A quick test show indeed. It does. Marking the speaker who shows sudden unease makes the crowd a bit nervous. Perfect. +3 FEAR
2-20: As People mill about in a Marketplace, you see one man trying to rally the people around him to buy something . He’s captivated a large number or people. Infecting him, and the crowd soon follows.+2 Fear if Singapore, +1 if Saudi Arabia, 0 if others
21-40: You see a party of somekind being held, a few people are just the social little butterflies. Marking them, nearly every human leave, marked. +2 for Denmark, +1 for France, 0 if others.
41-60: A man of business, he is as some social meeting with what you assume are his workers. Marking him, his staff take it to their underlings. A few hours later, the whole building is infected. +2 Fear if Saudi Arabia, +1 if Singapore, 0 if others
61-80: A political rally, the people cheer with anger. War would love this but you are not of war. Death goes in, marking the speaking and the crowd. Few escape each other’s gaze and touch. +2 Fear if France, +1 if Denmark, 0 if others
81-90: As you wander the area, you notice something a bit odd. Humans gathered singing something. Something far too happy for your tastes. One is even wearing a too bright and colorful woolly alpaca fur sweater. Their joyful behavior must end. Quickly finding the medium needed, you manage to Mark them all, And would you look at that? They’re going door to door. +2 FEAR to ANY/ALL
91-99: Poor Target! You mark an buff man in a mass shopping center but- he buys coffee then leaves to go on a trip into the wilderness. You get the sense he might fight bears or something… Either way, he won’t be seeing anyone a while. +0 FEAR
100: MASS MARKING. Someone is on stage speaking to a large crowd. Their eyes on screen, live. Will it work? A quick test show indeed. It does. Marking the speaker who shows sudden unease makes the crowd a bit nervous. Perfect. +3 FEAR
